Viorar ca back monts later and inford Rex that the person sent as a representative for the Aurelius Noble House would soon co to et him. She only told the house, that it was for sothing important—as heeding the words of their advisor—they agreed to co without question.

As their advisor, their Priestess of Purity, Viora has their full trust.

Nothing went wrong.

Viora didn't play any tricks and the Aurelius Noble House was now coming to et him.

Earlier, as Rex waited for Viora to co back, his mind spiraled to the negatives.

He prepared to activate the Invincible II item, ready to fight his way out just in case.

But it was only paranoia, nothing bad happened.

On top of that, Amanir and Kraken had also already been brought to the castle.

Both of them were now in the room.

Kraken was still sleeping soundly while Amanir was looking at Rex with a clear tinge of shock.

"Lucky," Amanir mumbled as he sat across from Rex. "You're lucky to et her. But still, I had to ask, what did you do to her—for her to be that submissive? You have not turned her into a Werewolf, so she wasn't a mber of your pack and she also didn't seem to be wounded. So how?"

"Not your concern," Rex shrugged his shoulders. "Just know we'll be faster than scheduled"

Upon hearing this, Amanir scoffed but didn't press further.

It must be a secret thod since Rex was keeping how he did it from him.

Just then, Viora entered the room again.

"Forgive but all we have is water," She said, carrying a tray with her.

Rex was wondering where she went but he wasn't expecting this.

"Hey, are you trying to kill ?" Rex asked as Viora placed the tray down, carrying several cups and a pitcher. "If anyone sees you, a Priestess of Purity carrying a tray like a servant, I'm sure everyone would try and kill "

"I made sure nobody saw it. Please, do not worry," Viora smiled assuringly.

Anyone who saw this would instantly murder Rex ten tis over.

Ferric, in particular, would waste no ti to kill him.

Having Viora bringing water is a privilege that even the Spirit Emperor couldn't enjoy.

But Rex, a person of no standing in this realm was given the opportunity to experience it without asking.

As Viora knelt down beside Rex's left leg once more—her gaze shifted to Kraken, who was bound tightly like a cocoon. She hesitated briefly before asking, "If I'm allowed to ask, who are these people? Are they your companions?"

"Both of them are my siblings," Rex nudged towards Linthia and Kraken while pouring himself a drink, but stopped by Viora, as she insisted on being the one to pour. "Linthia and Kraken—while that ugly demon spirit is Amanir. He's a friend that's close to being a burden"

"A burden? Really?" Amanir clicked his tongue. "You'd be dead if it weren't for "

"I see," Viora nodded and turned to look at Linthia, noticing that she was not the sa as Rex. "Seems like the candidate title doesn't run in blood. I see Lady Linthia's fate strings fine, she's not a candidate. But your fate strings… they are dark, I can't see through them,"

Upon hearing this, Rex turned to look at Linthia with a aningful gaze.

Linthia, on the other hand, crossed her arms and gripped her elbows tightly.

She knew what this ant.

It was clear that she had little to no chance of coming out of the Well of the Untold.

Noticing the air turning gloomy and tense, Viora quickly waved her hand to clarify, "I think all of you misunderstood what I ant. This doesn't necessarily an her fate is going to be bad—but I just can't see through it"

Viora's assurance should make Linthia breathe easier but it didn't.

It has no effect on her as she already decided to go through with this no matter what.

"Ekhm…" Rex cleared his throat to diffuse the tension. "How much longer until they arrive?"

"It depends on the situation in the Black Rift but I reckoned tonight," Viora answered.

"In that case, in the anti, can you teach about sothing?" Rex asked as he leaned back.

Viora's expression wobbled a bit, she was trying very hard to remain composed, fighting back the urge to smile from the request, "T- Teach…?" She repeated, her voice ca out in a stutter despite wanting to remain calm. "What kind of teaching do you need?"

"I have two Soul Artifacts, one of them already reached the Immortal Spirit rank but the other was still at the Ascendant Spirit rank," Rex answered truthfully. He thought that instead of attempting on his own, he should ask for tips—from an actual strong spirit like Viora. "Give tips in Spirit Genesis creation, I'm from a small land you see…"

"Linthia, you also co with us," Rex instructed.

Upon hearing this, Linthia nodded.

Just as Rex was about to stand, Viora's voice rang, "No, I can't teach you,"

Rex raised an eyebrow, surprised by her answer.

"I can't teach you without getting sothing back," She continued.

Realizing that Viora was negotiating, Rex cracked an amused smile. He did not anticipate this but he did not mind. He was relying on Viora a lot in this fortress—and she must've realized it by now. She'd be a fool if she didn't take this opportunity.

For Rex, it felt weird being helped without giving back sothing in return.

"What do you want in return?" Rex shot back, expectant of her request.

Then, after a brief pause to contemplate, Viora answered, "I also want you to teach too,"

"Oh…?" Rex turned towards her as this was the first ti soone genuinely asked him for sothing that was specific to his skill only—not through an item from the System. And for once, Rex was quite intrigued by her. "What do you want to teach?"

"Fighting," Viora answered firmly. "I saw how you beat Joren easily earlier,"

Rex couldn't hide his excitent anymore.

Out of all his abilities and skills, he was the proudest of his raw, unrestrained fighting ability.

It was the ability that tied him down to when he was still a normal human.

"I never expected a priestess to ask for sothing as crude as that," Rex replied, tapping his chin with his index finger. He could never guess that'd be what Viora wanted him to reach, "Are priestesses even allowed to fight?"

"Don't tease ," Viora smiled acutely. "Normally, a priestess isn't allowed to fight but must be able to in case the needs arise. I barely fought physically in my entire life. I know my shortcomings. Since you're here, I might as well ask for help…"

Hearing this, Rex nodded in understanding and reached out his hand, "Deal, I'll teach you a few tips"

Viora's eyes glead as she stood up and shook Rex's hand firmly.

"Deal, I'll teach you a few tips," Rex reached out his hand.

'A private ntoring session…?' Linthia who was watching from the side gasped, her face fell as she heard Rex readily agree. A bead of jealousy blood inside of her as she always wanted to be trained by Rex but felt like she wasn't worthy of that. 'Dindora and I always dread of being trained by His Majesty but he's always busy…'

'And this stranger got it that easily?' She bit her lower lip, sobbing inside. 'I want that too…'

Monts later.

Rex, Linthia, and Viora moved to the spacious empty chamber that are usually used for training.

Knowing that things were about to turn physical, Viora removed her accessories one by one until she was left wearing only a silk-white, sleeveless once-piece tunic. Then, she tied a white cloth—over her eyes, yet despite the cover, her golden gaze burned through it.

Her vision doesn't seem to be deterred by the eye cover.

"Lord Rex, what should we do now?" She asked as she stood a few paces away from Rex.

Rex rolled up his sleeves to his elbows, then lowered his hands to his sides with a slight tilt of his head.

"Now, I am going to assess your current skill level and start from your weakness," He said—before gesturing for Viora to attack. "Co, attack with everything you got. No cheating."

As soon as Rex said that, Viora raised her fists and struck.

She leaped forward and sent a straight punch fueled by nothing but her raw strength, testing the water and as she expected, Rex easily blocked it without even taking a single step. Knowing that her attack would certainly be blocked, Viora already thought of an attack flow and executed it.

Each move she dished out was a sequence of two attacks.

Behind her strike was decisive strength, showing that she wasn't pulling back her punches.

Maybe it was because she knew Rex was strong but either way, this started off well.

Additionally, her eyes and body were faced forward despite making an attack.

It made her attacks quite hard to predict without any power.

Considering that novices usually made it obvious how they were going to attack via their body language, Viora, even though she was a priestess, wasn't entirely a novice. She was more than decent, but through Rex's composed mask, there was no way she could tell what was inside Rex's mind.

She couldn't tell that Rex was praising her graceful moves despite being sloppy at so motions.

All she knew was that despite her flurry of attack, Rex didn't move from his spot.

Like an unmovable rock, his feet were planted into the ground.

No matter how hard Viora was going, she was incapable of forcing Rex to take a step.

'He's not stronger than …' Viora thought amidst her attacks, moving her body the best she could to pierce through Rex's guard. 'But every ti I threw a punch or a kick, he was able to nullify them by only knocking them off-track slightly. It was mainly his hand and leg movent,'

'I should change tactics…' Her gaze narrowed and her attack flow changed.

She cocked her arm to punch but she followed with a kick to the other side of Rex's face instead.

She threw out a straight punch but as Rex caught it, her knee flew towards Rex's guts.

Even then, she still couldn't beat do anything to Rex.

It was almost as if Rex could see into the future and knew exactly how Viora was going to attack next.

Just then, her leg was caught by Rex mid-track as she threw a roundhouse kick.

Viora frowned as a light smirk crossed Rex's lips and he swept her standing leg cleanly.

Reacting quickly, Viora pald the ground with her hand, freed her leg from Rex's grip—and made a sorsault backward. She landed a few paces away, back to her original position. Then, she straightened her back and raised her gaze.

As she was about to strike again, Rex raised a hand to halt her.

"Enough," He said firmly. "I see what you're lacking and I can help you with it"

Viora sprang back as her latest strike—swift and precise, was effortlessly blocked by Rex.

Landing a few paces away from her original position, she steadied herself—and prepared to attack again but Rex raised a hand to halt her, "Enough," He said. "I see what you're lacking, and luckily, it's sothing that can be fixed if you focus enough,"

"Raise your guard," Rex instructed.

Upon hearing this, Viora raised both her arms to protect herself.

Swoosh!

At that mont, Rex made his first move—launching a simple straight punch.

Viora reacted in ti and was able to block it.

She was knocked back hard, rapidly taking steps backward—until she ca to a halt once she regained her footing with a stomp to the ground. Before she could recover properly, Rex's voice rang once again, "Raise your guard,"

Once again, Viora raised her arms as Rex made another move.

It was the sa as the previous one, a straight punch, but Viora felt this one was different.

As Rex arrived, Viora's breath hitched as she made eye contact with Rex's crimson eyes.

Bam!!
