Even though his senses were impaired, Rex could feel that he had arrived.
Reaching the princess was already good enough, but he went far beyond.
He pushed himself upright, fighting back the urge to lie down, and took one knee, assuming the exact posture of Crown Prince Lukas. Fresh blood dripped from his fingers as he stretched his hand forward, palm up, and finally reached the princess.
Only he and Crown Prince Lukas managed to reach the end.
As for the man with long white hair, he surrendered at the eighth step, unable to go further.
Seeing this, Crown Prince Lukas clenched his jaw.
Initially, he thought that making an appearance would cause the other contenders to shudder, as most of them don't have the sa level of status as the strongest heirs or himself. He never thought that soone stubborn like Rex would be here.

Princess Davina looked at Rex's trembling hand, surreal at the sight.

Even Princess Davina second-guessed whether she could do what Rex did.
Looking down at her feet, she sighed as a faint smile tugged on the corner of her lips.
She stepped forward and stopped before Rex.
For a second there, she hesitated, but eventually, she reached out her hand and placed it on Rex's.
She placed her soft hand against his, sealing the grip with gentle strength.
"I accept your proposal, Lord Rex. It will be an honor."
Almost instantly after those words left her mouth, a manly laughter bood across the grand hall as Duke Lorcan approached gleefully. He spread his arms to the side with a beaming smile, stretching both corners of his lips, elated that his second daughter had finally chosen a man.
Seeing this, Princess Davina pulled her hand away.
Of course, she didn't forget to deactivate the erald star.
She would only be in the way if she stayed there.
Duke Lorcan stopped beside Rex and tapped his back encouragingly.
"Congratulations! You've shown us your determination, and I gave you my blessing."
Just then, he turned to Crown Prince Lukas.
He approached the crown prince and helped him get up.
"It's a sha that my daughter didn't choose you, Your Highness, but I hope you can accept her choice."
Naturally, this was hard to swallow for the crown prince.
He ca here for Princess Davina's hand, the strongest woman from the new generation, and also the most beautiful. But he was beaten by a nobody from the House of Aurelius. However, feeling the duke's grip on his shoulder tighten, he forced out a nod.
"Y-Yes. It's a sha, but I can't force the princess on whom she chose."

As Duke Lorcan was about to escort Crown Prince Lukas—and the other man out, his eyes stopped at Rex, who was still in the sa position. He didn't say more or even say anything. A frown crept to his face.
Noticing his concern, the others also fixated on him.
Rosa quickly approached him.
She tried to help him lie down, but Rex's body was so stiff that it was hard to move him.
A sigh escaped her lips.
"He passed out," She declared, turning to look at the others. "I think he passed out at the ninth step."
"What…?"
Everyone was stunned.
Most of them were marveling at Rex's determination to reach Princess Davina, or focused on another thing entirely, but Rosa was focused on Rex's eyes. The light behind his eyes flickered at the fourth step, and it dimd at the eighth step, fully dying at the ninth.
Even though she wasn't that close with Rex, she was the one who brought him here.
So, in a way, she felt responsible for him.
It was the reason why she was worried about him.
Princess Liliana approached and checked to make sure, and she found that it was true.
Rex was already out of it.
Seeing this, Princess Davina sighed.
'It's really life and death for him. How can a man be this foolish?'
