Stelios looked up at Rex, grinning, totally unfazed.

Despite the sudden, explosive movent that made him look like he was teleporting, he was unfazed.

It’s almost as if he were really confident that nothing Rex does could harm him.

He turned to the side—and walked away with deliberate slowness, making the fatal mistake of showing his back to a Werewolf, but he didn’t care. "For soone who hasn’t even landed a single strike on , you sure talk the talk."

A good opportunity to strike from behind wouldn’t co often in this fight.

But Rex didn’t attack.

The Slash of Destiny severed his anger, and he has to nd it properly—using the weaver of madness skill once wouldn’t be enough. He closed his eyes, using the skill repeatedly to push his anger higher— and higher to the point its string was too thick to slice.

Stelios kept walking away, hands on his back.

He could feel the gradual surge of power coming from Rex, but he wasn’t concerned.

From the start, he has no intentions of cutting Rex’s anger.

This is his last hunt, the mont when he would be reborn, so he wanted it to be... spectacular.

"But alas—I am in a good mood," Stelios looked up at the Angel Origin statue in admiration and a tinge of reminiscence. "Nothing you say will anger . After all, I despise losing control. It’ll only make the sa as your kind—filthy, feral, and certainly beneath ."

It was a blatant mockery.

Stelios didn’t even bother to hide his disdain, but there’s no use in decency in a battle to the death.

"The First Light created each Angel for different purposes, so are purposed to protect heaven, so to help others in need, and many other things. But each Angel only has one purpose, even Archangels," Stelios explained, his wings fluttered at the mories that flashed in his mind. "Mine was to punish the Werewolves."

"It has been such a long ti since I was bestowed that purpose. Centuries—No, maybe more," He added—feeling nostalgic. "I’ve never thought the day would co when I would fulfill that purpose for good, but I am happy."

Swoosh!

Rex appeared right beside Stelios; the Red Dawn of Kaiser flared and was ready to strike.

He swiped hard, aiming to at least tear a few wings.

But the mont his claws got close, they were stopped by an invisible barrier—it was exactly the sa as the one that protected April earlier. Few races have a thod to cross over to the Spirit Realm—and it seed the Angels’ thod allowed excess energy to be used in this way.

"That’s one successful hit, but you have to do better than that to touch ," Stelios smirked.

Splash!

A massive knife pierced through Rex’s stomach, hurling him backward until his back slamd onto the stone fence. He pulled the knife out and channeled his energy. Both life—and voidal energy swirled on his legs as he used the Voidal Moonflow Acceleration.

As soon as the energy exploded, Rex was already upon Stelios again.

Rex swung his claws, but this ti, it was heavier.

It was so hard that Stelios was hurled several steps to the side.

Before he could even recover, Rex ca again from his blind spot, slamming his claws into the barrier.

Clang!

Even though it was hard to see or feel due to how concentrated and refined the barrier’s energy was, it was still visible if one looked hard enough. Rex could see it. His eyes picked up the faintest strands that were peeled away with every strike he landed.

Tiny wisps of power shook loose each ti he hit the barrier.

He wanted to keep going, but Stelios already flapped his wings, avoiding his pounce.

Despite missing, he found out that the barrier has its limit.

System, analyze the barrier and convert it into numbers.

Rex looked up at Stelios and saw that there was a notification right above the barrier.

It prompted a smile to bloom on his face.

"What are you smiling at?" Stelios asked as he raised his hand.

He summoned a big portal overhead, and without warning, hundreds of knives flew out from it.

Kaboom!!

Rex responded more excessively than Stelios expected.

His entire body exploded with a reddish aura that was as thick as condensed liquid, cascading over his form like a waterfall. Its impact blew the hundreds of knives—flying towards him, effectively cancelling Stelios’ attack.

Kaboom!

Another round of explosions resounded as his aura skyrocketed, climbing up to the sky like vapor.

A manic laugh tore out of him as the Invincible Apparition reveled in this new, overwhelming surge of fury unlike anything he’d ever experienced. This ti, his rage wasn’t just rising—it had blasted past every limit he’d ever known, erupting into sothing monstrous.

So much so, his strength rose exponentially.

"Oh... Bored already? Are we getting serious now?" Stelios asked in amusent.

Even from high up and the barrier protecting him, he could feel the heat coming from Rex was more intense than it was a few seconds ago. In fact, the heat at least doubled, marking this as the strongest heat or anger that any werewolf he has ever faced.

"I don’t know what’s happening to ," Rex laughed, scratching his body like every single part of him was itching. Streaks of blood wetted his fur as his scratch beca more intense. "But I have a feeling... I also have a feeling this is going to be my last battle, too!"

Rex snapped his gaze towards Amanir, "Get that Phoenix Feather, will you?"

"Eh...?" Amanir was taken aback, his body freezing at eting Rex’s unnatural gaze right now.

A gaze that certainly doesn’t belong to the real Rex.

"Open the chests. Do it right, please..." Rex added, eyes widening even more with madness. "I really don’t know, but everything pisses off right now, and I don’t want to end up eating you."

Clang!

Rex parried a massive knife, but his claws shattered it instead.

"Focus on ," Stelios demanded, wings flared open with majesty. "You can only focus on ..."

"Don’t worry, little Angel. I’m all yours now!"

"Co! Let’s make this spectacular, Royal Black Prince!"

Crack!

In the blink of an eye, Rex shot skyward like a red shooting star, charging straight at the person he really wanted to rake his claws at right now.

And upon colliding, an eruption of raw destruction tore through the air, shredding everything caught in its path.

Kaboom!

Below, Amanir folded his ears over his eyes to shield himself from the thunderous blast. When he finally lowered them—his gaze locked onto the chest right before the cloaked statue. Rex had told him exactly what to do, and he intended to carry it out.

Just then, Empress Morgana stepped into view, blocking the path to the chests.

"Don’t even think about it," She said, eyes narrowing. "If you want them, you have to go through ."

"How many tis have you watched the Archangel of Knives fight?"

"Hmm...?"

"I’ve always been behind Rex. I’ve watched him fight through countless battles, countless enemies, and he always ca out on top. If we both are betting our lives right now, are you still confident in your Archangel?"

This caught Empress Morgana off guard.

Even as the battle above her grew more intense, her eyes stared at Amanir’s eyes in disbelief.

"The Archangel of Knives has never lost against a werewolf. He was blessed with the purpose to counter werewolves by the First Light. I may not have seen him fight ever before, but the victor is already clear. No werewolf can defeat hi—"

"Your face doesn’t show the sa conviction as your words, empress."

Amanir tilted his head ever so slightly.

But that gesture made Empress Morgana frown, like it had the effect of amplifying her doubt.

"No matter how many people are against Rex, I will always bet my life on him," Amanir continued with absolute conviction, like he had no doubt whatsoever. "You’re going against soone—who you don’t even know, with soone you barely even know. You’re stepping into a world you don’t understand."

"And what makes you think I don’t understand anything?" Empress Morgana retorted, anger rising up to her chest. "I know the Angels are regaining power in the Mortal Realm—and I know Void is now the strongest being down there. From where I’m seeing, your confidence is blind."

"You don’t get it, do you?" Amanir chuckled, finding her to be funny—very funny. "You may not realize it yet, dear empress, but you’re already dead. Look down and listen."

He pointed at the ground.

For so reason, though she didn’t have to, Empress Morgana was compelled to look down.

"Can you hear them? The writhing souls in the afterlife?" Amanir asked, prompting her to focus on her own senses harder. "All the people who are exactly like you in the past... All of them are calling to you. Telling you about their regrets. Telling you to stop while you still can."

"I... You’re playing tricks on ," Empress Morgana grimaced as she glared at Amanir.

"No? If you can’t hear them, blotted by your own ego, then like I said," Amanir smiled. "You’re already dead."

Swoosh!

Stelios’ golden eyes snapped left and right, surprised to find Rex disappearing into thin air.

His senses warned him of sothing coming from his right.

But it was already too late to react.

CLANG!

Rex’s claws slamd into the barrier, causing it to bend inward before bursting with a crimson energy.

His attack was now destructive, distorting the space like it was nothing.

Stelios spun across the sky, but another attack slamd against the barrier, hurling him to the other side.

’I can’t move the mont he was about to strike; he locked the dinsion around ,’ Stelios thought, noticing this odd temporary lock that paralyzed him. ’It must be that Inevitable Death from that Soul Artifact of his. But it doesn’t matter, it does nothing to the barrier.’

Crack!

Just then, Rex landed another strike from the side.

Golden exoskeleton already coated him like a second layer of skin.

Stelios was hurled skyward but quickly regained his balance, spreading his wings to the side.

Swish!

A low, grinding snarl tore from Rex’s throat as he reappeared behind Stelios, bringing his claws down with every muscle in his body straining to the brink. But as the strike was about to connect, his pupils snapped wide—he saw sothing appearing in an instant.

A dozen golden portals appeared on Stelios’ back, and from each, a knife burst forth.

Not like the regular ones like earlier—these ones were seething with holy energy.

Splash!

Rex knocked aside several of the blades and avoided a few others, but two still found him—one burying itself in his palm, the other punching into his shoulder. Before he could even register the pain, Stelios blurred forward with a single wingbeat, and a brutal kick cracked across Rex’s face.

Like a cot, Rex plumted onto the rock formation below with a thunderous crash.

And then, knives descended like heavy rain.

A barrage that slamd into where Rex landed.

But as the smoke cleared, Rex could be seen unscathed; a golden halo protected him.

"Such a Soul Artifact does not befit you," Stelios drew a knife, thicker and carved with intricate runes, out of thin air. And with a devastating kick, he shot that knife straight at Rex, aiming not to hurt him but to shatter the Aegis of Moon Sentinel.

Swoosh!

Clang!

To his surprise, the knife curved at the last second, missing the halo by a hair’s breadth.

"Law..." Stelios’s smirk sharpened. "It’d be unfair for you to wield that against —wouldn’t it? But my subject was generous enough to cultivate this vessel for . I thought forging a vessel this strong was overkill—yet here you are, proving otherwise." His wings flexed, aura swelling.

"And with this body... you’re not the only one who has the power of Law."
