Rex digested the Divine Protection vial faster than the sisters.

His soul is now protected, giving him the second chance that would really be a mind-easer.

As he waited for Davina and Lilliana to finish, he took a look around. His eyes scanned the area—and he couldn’t help but notice the deafening silence. Other than the light humming of energy coming from the sisters, there was no other sound.

It was the stillness that made him sweat.

Chaos is active, and the Angels seed to have a connection to it.

He recalled when that dangerous entity appeared.

Even though Void was no longer present when it appeared, and Morgana’s bloodline no longer had any connection to the Dark Angels, it was too much of a coincidence for that dangerous entity to take over her body right after Void disappeared.

Rex wasn’t entirely sure, but there must be so connection between them.

And it made him paranoid.

I’m in the God Realm. Chaos and those bastard Angels shouldn’t be able to reach , right?

That’s what Rex wanted to believe.

But his visit to the Spirit Realm taught him one important thing.

He might know the general knowledge of the realm he was entering thanks to the System, but he didn’t know all the rules tied to it. Like how Kaiser hid the fact that he could tamper with Rex’s more through the Spirit Realm, Chaos could also do the exact sa thing through the God Realm.

Especially now that he knew that Chaos was also interested, he needed to be really careful.

Best for him to assu that Chaos could still reach him here.

As much as how ridiculous it sounded since he’s in the God Realm, he must assu that was the case.

How am I going to protect us from the hands of Chaos?

Rex didn’t know the answer, but he must find it very soon before bad things started happening.

Putting those thoughts on the back of his head, Rex’s eyes focused on the flower he almost stepped on.

It was the flower that the Gardener was protecting.

...

Grade: Divine

Description: A divine flower that only grow on specific areas of the Primordial adow where the soil is at a lower level than normal. Once fully blood, it will contain a few pure divine strands and have an unnatural effect of mind-relaxation. It will emanate a very sweet fragrance upon being plucked.

...

"Pure divine strands?" Rex’s eyes narrowed. "The Silverstar Genesis could also produce divine strands, but a weaker version."

At that thought, he took a look around one more ti.

But now, he was looking at the adow with clarity that wasn’t there before.

"No doubt about it," He mumbled inwardly as his mind worked quickly, piecing together the pieces of information he had amassed latterly. "This Primordial adow is the Overseer of Realms’ domain, much like the Silverstar Genesis is mine." A beat of silence echoed, and understanding blood. "Then that ans... Gods grow stronger through the divine strands produced inside their own realms."

Rex knew the Lunirich Gods each had a realm of their own.

He had been to the realm of the Blood Moon—and the Yule Moon, while Kyran had been inside the Ice and Snow Moon’s realm. Not to ntion, even Kei Xun has her own realm, which was the surface of a blue sun.

Everyone has their own dominion, so there must be a reason behind it.

And now, he understood the reason.

But it didn’t make him feel better.

"If that’s really the case, then doesn’t that an the gap of strength between the Lunirich Gods and is growing by the second...?" Rex clenched his fists and gritted his teeth until his gum bleed. "I need to grow stronger even faster."

Rex wanted to harvest as many of these Baby-blue Periwinkles.

Each one contained divine strands that’d push his divinity higher, but he refrained from doing so.

No matter how badly Rex wanted it, he couldn’t do it.

Monts later, Davina and Lilliana finished digesting the vial, and the group began to move straight.

Nash has left behind scratch marks on the tree trunks or ground, small signs specifically for them. These marks are the only guides they have through the endless Primordial adow. He hadn’t co back and made a report, so Rex and the others assud the path ahead was clear.

No news ant no danger.

Probably.

Along the way, the group saw more and more Gardeners.

Each one of them has the sa aesthetic—masks that reveal only their lower faces, hulking fras, and steel javelins gripped in their hands. But beneath the uniformity, their bodies told different stories. So were beast-like, furred, or clawed. So were n. So were won.

But all of them were riddled with scars.

"Is this really for ?" Lilliana asked as a Gardener approached and handed her a flower, holding back a smile.

Not the Baby-blue Periwinkle or the corrupted one, but a white-pinkish flower that blood beautifully.

Like soone eager, the Gardener nodded repeatedly.

It left when Lilliana accepted the flower.

"Seems like we know who the better-looking one here, sister," Lilliana chuckled humorously as Davina didn’t get a flower. Heck, she didn’t even make any of the Gardeners turn her way. "Your very long days of sporting is wearing down your femininity."

"I hope one of them stabbed you instead of giving you a flower," Davina sneered.

Even though her face was sour, she was silently stealing glances at the Gardeners.

Especially those that took the form of furry, light-colored beasts that passed by now and then.

Davina was clearly interested in the cuter-looking ones.

But Rex noticed sothing else entirely.

Scars... I don’t see anything that might harm them around here. Where did they get them?

Rex stared at a nearby Gardener, happily plucking a fully blood Baby-blue Periwinkle. His instincts showed no sign of sensing any predatory intent from these Gardeners. And even across the entire way, none of them had shown any sign of attacking.

Clearly, like what Nash said, these Gardeners are peaceful as long as they are away from the periwinkles.

...

Status: Happy.

Race: Higher Human

Power: Awakened Demigod — Hellfire Elentalist (5)

Oustification: Curse of the Cavity

Soul Artifact: Armored Skin — A-grade (Support)

Echo: Hellhound and Hell Warlock

Divinity Points: 1,055

Endurance: 38,800,000

Intelligence: 51,000,000 (Locked)

...

As soon as Rex scanned the Gardener’s stats, his brows imdiately dropped into a frown.

Higher Human? This... thing is an Ancient Human?

Even though this particular Gardener was humanoid and human in every possible way, Rex thought that it was a creature with human characteristics. But it’s actually a person—an Ancient Human. It even has its own na, as a person would.

Moreover, this person also has a Soul Artifact and an Echo, which ans he has been to the Spirit Realm.

And since he also has an elental affinity, his origin should be that of a Mortal Realm.

What in the world is happening here? He’s a person, but there’s no clear intent behind his eyes.

As opposed to looking a person in the eyes, it was more like seeing into the eyes of a puppet.

Or perhaps soone was hypnotized.

Rex scanned another along the way and found that this one was different.

Another race with different Soul Artifacts and Echoes, but it has the sa Oustification.

Curse of the Cavity.

It sounded like trouble.

System... Curse of the Cavity, what is that?

Rex clicked his tongue as he did not have enough gold to purchase that information, but he made a ntal note that he was going to find out what it was. If this curse has the power to turn even an Ancient Human into a Gardener, then he needed to know whether it’s also a threat to him.

At that thought, Rex’s eyes sparkled.

Baby-blue Periwinkles... That’s the key.

Rumble—!

Just then, the sound of fighting reached Rex’s ears.

Lilliana and Davina also heard it.

Without even exchanging a single word, the three of them dashed towards where the sound of fighting was coming from. Not that they wanted to butt into soone else’s problem—but they wanted to know the situation in this area of the Primordial adow.

Upon arrival, the three of them watched as two Gardeners were facing each other.

"A territorial dispute?" Davina questioned whisperingly.

"Yes," Rex pointed at the Baby-blue Periwinkle near them. "I think they’re fighting over that."

Unlike the Gardeners they encountered across the way, these two were completely different.

Each one seethed with an energy that Davina and Lilliana could see—pale gold radiance pouring out of their forms like vapor—but could not feel. It existed before their eyes, undeniable and vivid, but it does not exist in their other senses.

As if they were watching a fire that gave no heat.

Both use their sense of energy to sense danger more than their eyes throughout their lives.

Most danger cannot be perceived but can be felt.

But now, it was inverted.

Only their eyes could see the danger.

"Can you feel the energy coming from them?" Lilliana turned to Rex.

She was curious as to whether only those who are Demigods could sense the energy.

"I..." Rex’s pupils trembled as he stared at the two Gardeners, specifically at their golden aura. "I can’t sense it, either."

His answer ca like a lightning strike.

Neither of them could believe that even Rex, who has achieved the realm of Demigods, couldn’t sense the Gardeners’ energy. But he doesn’t seem to be lying. His eyes clearly showed that he also couldn’t believe it himself.

Just earlier, Rex learned that the Gardeners were as strong as he in his werewolf form.

And now he learned that he couldn’t feel their energies.

It seed Nivellen wasn’t exaggerating—when she said it was too dangerous for him to enter this realm without proper preparation and ti. Even the first Godling he encountered, though sowhat peaceful, was already this troubleso.

He couldn’t imagine what other beings lurked in this realm.

How did Nash even survive? Did he beco a slave or sothing? Maybe he made an ally?

Clang—!

Like two phantoms appearing and disappearing from sight, the two Gardeners clashed.

Each clash doesn’t produce a powerful shockwave. Doesn’t make an explosion that rends the entire area like it always did when two powerful figures in the lower planes clashed. But Lilliana and Davina feel the danger from each slash.

Though their eyes could barely keep up, it doesn’t diminish the battle.

And upon closer inspection, they realized the clashes weren’t originally silent and less destructive.

Sothing absorbed the destructive impact and sound every ti a clash happened.

Must the ruler of this realm, who did not want its beloved adow to be scarred by this battle.

"Let’s get out of here," Davina suggested, seeing that the battle was covering more and more area. It would not be long before they got dragged into the battle. "Let’s follow Nash and learn more about this place before we get involved in anything."

"I agree," Lilliana nodded in agreent. "It’ll be stupid for us to seek danger this early."

She turned to Rex and raised a brow.

"What do you thi—?"

Lilliana’s question died in her throat.

Beside her, Rex was breathing heavy, body trembling, and eyes glinting with the unmistakable redness of pure bloodlust. One that was the signature of his kind. His bloodlust wasn’t only boiling, but it was visible, radiating off him in waves that even she could feel.

It was not the kind of state that Lilliana or Davina wanted to see him in right now.

"I can’t sense their energies," Rex muttered as he rose slightly—his eyes remained focused on the fighting Gardeners. "But if I devour one of them... If I get my fangs to sink into them and munch on their flesh, then I can. Then I will."
