Now reading: Chapter 1858: Demigod Hunting (1) from The Invincible Full-Moon System, a Action novel by Mrboogey13.

It has been so ti since he hunted with his pack mbers.

And perhaps that’s the reason why there was unbridled excitent inside of him right now.

Rex let his beast side take over—and galloped through the forest. His eyes were focused on the escaping pair ahead, and his heart throbbed with the thrill of the hunt. Behind him, Lilliana and Davina followed, acting like his shadows.

No restriction within this realm ant every single power Rex possessed returned to him.

Beginning the hunt with his pack mbers triggered his passive skill.

Like a pack of wolves that grew braver when together, their speed increases significantly.

From the Godlings’ world, the sound of winding rustle made them feel the emotions of a prey.

Swoosh—!

"Great Spell, Symbol of Lightning."

On Rex’s shoulder, the symbol of lightning erged.

Black lightning crackled across his form as he streaked forward with a burst of speed.

Rex swiped the arrogant Godling with his claws, but was blocked. Sparks spewed everywhere—as his claws clashed against the Godling’s curved blade. And in the next mont, the two exchanged a dozen slashes in an instant.

Both of them moved in a blur.

Speed too fast for any mortals could perceive.

A smile crossed Rex’s lips as he engaged in close-quarter combat again.

Other than the boost he got from his lightning elent, he didn’t use anything, taunting the Godling in a head-on battle. Each of them was a master of the craft. Each swing they made was precise and had no wasted movents.

Like experts who had honed their skills until perfection.

Rex’s body now felt lighter and faster.

Now that he had accepted his beast side, and also the fact that he was growing stronger because it was his desire to beco stronger. His desire to protect the others. Everything beca easier. There is no longer a weight inside his chest.

Along with Davina’s help, he was made to realize that he’s one of the strong.

And the strong don’t need to care too much about what others think.

He was free to do whatever he desired. If he can’t, then what’s the point of becoming stronger?

Just like that, a portal to another world of possibilities was opened to him.

For the longest ti, he no longer felt like he needed to hold back.

It’s freeing to know so definitively that normal rules don’t bind him. To know that he had gotten so much stronger that the rules don’t apply to him anymore. His mind focused. His body was moving at perfect synchrony. It’s a miracle how impactful acceptance can be to a person.

Everything beca relieving.

’I’m faster than him,’ the Godling thought; pupils dilated as he tracked Rex’s claws and countered. But frustration was starting to get the better of him. ’And yet every ti I countered, he always managed to dodge or block it at the last mont.’

Clang—!

A heavy slash slamd against the Godling’s curved blade, pushing him back.

At the sa ti, his eyes widened at the sight of the ground turning into blood.

Perhaps he was too focused on trying to reach Rex that the ground turning into blood passed his senses.

In the next second, the blood was pulled into Rex, making his aura heavier.

Now that he had grasped the Blood Moon Echo and made it his own, possibilities unfolded before him like petals in bloom. So of his abilities required him to absorb blood, be it from himself or others. One being the Indirect Moon Ability, the Original Blood Physique.

Slaughter is the only way to activate the ability properly.

It’s no longer necessary.

Rex could access the ability at all tis.

Once the ability was active, his speed and the Godling’s matched perfectly.

And at that mont, the gap between their raw combat skills was displayed as clear as day.

Bam—!

’Since he appeared here, I thought he’s a Demigod—that has only ascended from the Spirit Realm,’ the Godling thought inwardly as he blocked a flurry of punches. His wrists were caught and locked in place, and then a headbutt slamd into his face, breaking his nose. ’But his fighting style is too brutal—for a dweller of the Spirit Realm.

’Is... Is he from the Mortal Realm?’

In a fit of anger, the Godling bellowed and freed his hands from the wrenching claw-grip.

But at the sa ti, the air shifted, and sothing struck from the side.

Hmm... He can even sense the Damned Specter without having any cursed energy.

Back in the Mortal Realm, only those with so inkling toward cursed energy could sense his Damned Specter approaching. Those who don’t have any, no matter how strong, would have a difficult ti sensing the invisible phantom in the cursed dinsion.

Seeing the Godling blocking the kick from the Damned Specter ant he could sense it.

And it must be because of this foreign energy that those in the God Realm is using.

Or is it because the realm is suppressing the cursed dinsion?

Anything that’s tied to opening another realm is impossible in the Primordial adow, but opening a dinsion should still be plausible. Rex sensed no restriction from using the Damned Specter, so it has to be the foreign energy.

Then it’s the energy.

Splash—!

"Grrgh?!"

Rex spat a mouthful of blood as sothing impaled him from behind, piercing his back.

It went through cleanly and created a hole in his chest.

Considering how strong his senses were in the werewolf form, sothing like this happening should be practically impossible. But the foreign energy made it possible, as he couldn’t sense any incoming. Even his intuition was dulled.

And it seed the Godling realized that from the blooming smile on his face.

"Can’t sense it coming, can you?" He cackled. "How can you even hope to defeat ?"

Rex activated his red force, making his body steam as he elbowed the invisible steel pike impaling him from behind, breaking it. Dozens of holes appeared all around him at the sa ti. He could not see what made them, but he knew that it must be the sa invisible thing that impaled him.

In an instant, he crossed his arms.

And with a forceful grunt, a shockwave of energy blasted from his body.

He used the Blitzing Cry skill.

Normally, this low-rank skill wouldn’t be strong enough, but with the divine strands making everything stronger and coupled with the Law of Misdirection imbuing it, the shockwave protected him as his eyes flashed with lightning.

Blitz—!

Like a pouncing beast, he dashed.

His King Marks ford on his forehead, pushing his power to an even greater height.

And with it, he channeled his kingly energy into his claws. His Red Dawn of Kaiser ford perfectly on his charged claws like a tailor-made glove, summoning the full, overwhelming might of the Blood Moon Echo and the Law of Inevitability.

This wasn’t only an attack. This was the culmination.

Everything he had gathered from the Mortal Realm and Spirit Realm, focused into a single mont.

A complex process that happened in a fraction of a second.

"Direct Moon Ability, Brutal Impulse!"

BAM—!

Black and red writings carved their way into existence as Rex’s claws stopped a few inches away from the Godling’s chest. He tried to escape, but the space around him was locked in place. And coupled with the Law of Inevitability, there was no escaping this attack.

He was forced to endure it.

However, he wasn’t planning on avoiding it from the start.

"Let’s see who’d be the one to die from this," the Godling smirked. "You or ."

Breaking through the space-lock, he crossed his fingers.

"Primordial Authority," He pointed his fingers at the ground beneath Rex. "Steel Oustification: Divine-Piercing Spear."

Sothing opened underneath Rex that he could not feel.

But from the Godling’s eyes, there was a pale portal opening, and from it was a deathly spear.

Swish—!

In an instant, the spear shot upward, aiming for Rex’s heart.

Death was the only outco for those impaled by this spear. It didn’t cause vital wounds to the body and soul, but it also absorbed divinity out of the target. A spear that could kill Demigods. And if the gap in divine points is wide enough, the spear would shatter the target instantly.

As if they had never existed at all.

Since Rex is rely a new Demigod, his death was imminent.

Unfortunately, Rex isn’t only a Demigod.

He’s also a Scion.

Clang—!

"What?!" the Godling exclaid in shock when a reddish energy—that he could not feel or sense wrap around the spear and stopped it from impaling Rex. Sothing like this should not be possible. "What did you do?!"

"Can’t sense it, can you?" Rex grinned viciously.

Anything that poses a threat to him would be stopped through the Absolute Anger Effect.

And it seed like even this foreign energy alone couldn’t overpower a Scion’s strength.

BAM—!

Once the Brutal Impulse finished charging, the shock that happened was devastating. It thundered across the entire area like a concentrated blast. Even the Godling wasn’t unscathed from its rampaging energy, as he flew away like a ragdoll.

His high-quality armor shattered from the aftershock.

Like a ghost in the night, Davina blurred into position above Rex with glowing eyes.

She brought her hands and tails upward, summoning a massive star the size of a building, charged with the power of her bloodline and the Star Echo. And with a grunt, she condensed the overwhelming energy inside it all the way until it was only the size of her head.

Not even a glimpse of hesitation, she threw the star of destruction at the Godling.

Even before he could recover from the Brutal Impulse, an even more powerful attack struck him.

KABOOM—!

Rex and Davina watched as white light swallowed the world ahead of them.

A blinding explosion erupted across their vision, expanding outward like a do of pure annihilation.

Everything it touched ceased to exist. The ground beneath them buckled and scread, shaking with the force of a seven-magnitude earthquake. Cracks ripped open the earth, splitting wide—like starving mouths, swallowing what little remained.

Rex glanced at her beside him.

He was surprised by the destructive might that she has.

"Don’t you think you’re being a little excessive? I don’t think it’d take that much to kill him."

"Excessive? I don’t think so," Davina shrugged nonchalantly.

"That big explosion could’ve attracted others, don’t you think?"

"If it’s really a problem, you wouldn’t be this calm. I’m sure you’ve made sure nothing would leak out from this area," She gave him a aningful look. His silence confird that she’s not wrong. "Besides, these guys deserved it. They’re disgusting. I hate them."

Rex snorted at her answer.

Of course, she hated them, considering they were the complete opposite of her noble tastes.

"Relax," Rex crossed his arms. "No need to hate dead n. What about the other one? Do you really think your sister could stall him?"

"Lilliana isn’t as strong as , but it doesn’t an she’s incapable," Davina shook her head. There was absolute conviction on her face that Lilliana would do well. "Besides, that sister of mine is really good at surviving and stalling."

Once the smoke cleared, the Godling ca into view again.

Surprisingly, he was still standing, but his condition is anything but good.

His armor hung in ruins—cracked in a dozen places, torn open in others, offering no protection to what lay beneath. Blood drizzled lazy paths down his forehead and arms, mixing with the gri of battle. Where skin remained exposed, it had been charred black, burned away to reveal nothing but raw muscle tissue glistening beneath.

And across his torso, carved deep into flesh that had already suffered too much, were claw marks.

Deep marks that are still bleeding profusely.

Right now, he was staring skyward while panting heavily through his mouth.

One more attack would’ve toppled him without a doubt.

Quite durable. Demigods are hard to kill. But... that doesn’t an their wills are as strong.
