Rex wanted to say sothing, but he didn’t want to spoil the fun.

It looked like she was genuinely having fun learning about her new state of being, one that stood in the middle between being a Spirit, a Werewolf, and a Human. Better for her to be in this state, rather than the complete opposite.

Besides, he was mostly to bla.

Seems like I’m drawn to people with a screw loose.

Despite what happened, Davina and even Lilliana managed to beco a Silverstar.

Even entering the inner pack to boast.

On the other hand, he kept soone normal like April at arm’s length.

But then again, he couldn’t deny that the sisters had shown more capabilities than April had.

"You can devour others—but do it modestly. You are still new to all of this. You hadn’t even completed your form yet." Rex looked down at the corpse, specifically at the hole where his claws had carved in earlier. "And in case you wanted to know, the heart is the tastiest."

"You’re underestimating noble-born," Davina flicked her hair over her shoulder. "It’s mandatory for us to always show restraint in everything pleasurable. Noble-born are trained not to overindulge despite the pleasure."

"Many nobles aren’t like that, though," Rex looked up, recalling the nobles he had t.

Other than the overly pompous attire, the nobles he t were mostly temperantal and rageful.

All of them are the opposite of what Davina was championing.

"I’m traditional," Davina snorted. "You can say I’m one of those who hold honorable values."

"Right..." Rex shrugged.

But his voice sounded like he seriously doubted her claim, and Davina isn’t the one who’d missed that.

"Are you actually feeling bad for Duke Lorcan? For my father?" She turned towards him—and raised a brow, almost like a taunt. "Killing family mbers is not honorable, yes, but trust —I already gave that old man more than enough chances to change. I have tried. And now, I’m simply strong enough to understand that he’d not change.

"Not now. Not ever." She crossed her arms and averted her gaze.

Rex could hear sorrow in her voice, like admitting that it’s not sothing easy for her.

It also made him realize that, despite how the sisters looked, they weren’t okay with what they did.

Just that, it’s sothing they needed to do.

"I’ve been insensitive," Rex held her shoulder and squeezed it gently. "It must’ve been hard for you and Lilliana to do that. I’m sorry."

"At least you understand," Davina trotted forward. "Co on, we’d better check on Lilliana."

A few miles away.

Caspian was in a predicant.

He was trying to escape. Trying to leave Zev’s territory and be done with whoever these people are, but leaving was already out of his hands the mont he stepped into the trap. Now, blocking his way were a thousand threads of energy woven chaotically to form an impenetrable net.

It’s stretchy, so it was hard to force through them.

But he attempted it anyway.

Caspian’s form bursts with energy as he charges straight hand-first towards the net.

His energy ford a five-inch blade that reached out from his fingertips. As expected, the net stretched, putting more resistance the further he neared the stretching limit. It didn’t take long before the very first thread was sliced.

Even though it was hard, the net isn’t entirely a match against his power.

Breaking through is possible.

However, all hope was lost when more threads weaved into existence right beyond the first net.

Caspian couldn’t even break the first net before the second net ford. His energy output increased as he was determined to punch through. More and more net manifested, refusing to let him leave, until his montum was lost.

"Grgghk..."

Unable to maintain the discharge of energy, he was thrown backward.

His feet created trenches until he managed to stop.

"Where is your earlier bravado?" Lilliana’s voice forced him to turn, eyes wide and teeth grinding with anger. "Just a few minutes ago, you trotted in like you’re sothing. Don’t go running now. Keep your words and fight,"

She massaged her temples and shook her head. "This is what I an by having no class."

"Just who the hell are you guys? And what do you want?" Caspian asked.

Anyone from the lower planes would enter the God Realm with extre caution. No matter who they t first, even if it’s the weaker Godlings—they wouldn’t dare to do anything rash. But that rule doesn’t apply to Lilliana and her group.

In fact, the three of them entered the God Realm and acted as if they didn’t fear anything.

’It’s that man,’ Caspian’s eyes narrowed. A bead of cold sweat trickled down the side of his face as he recalled Rex. ’Forget about Zev. The commotion from our fight should reach the others, but I can’t feel them nearing at all. Does he also have the Primordial Authority? But to lock this space...? Is that even allowed?’

"If I had to answer, then I’d say we are the Silverstar Pack," Lilliana rubbed her chin, almost like she was uncertain of how to answer that question. "And for what we want—I don’t really know. You should wait and ask him that."

Frankly, Caspian didn’t want to wait for that man.

Everything about that man made him feel uneasy, and he didn’t want to feel it again.

’But if these people are here to cause problems, I need to know,’ His eyes sharpened. "I really suggest you convince him not to be reckless. This is our realm. This is our territory. If we so much want you three dead, then we could."

"Right?" Lilliana smiled. She was glad that soone was on the sa page as her. "I also told him the sa thing, but he didn’t seem to care much about it. Maybe he has his own way, or maybe he simply doesn’t care. Either way, he’s really interesting, isn’t he?"

Caspian’s eyes twitched at her answer.

He was threatening her, and yet she didn’t care and instead fawned over the man.

It was simply infuriating to see that lower beings from the lower planes could act this brazenly.

"Having a conversation with the prey?" A voice interrupted them—as Rex, along with Davina, closed in from the shadows. "What is there to even talk about?"

Almost imdiately, Caspian put up his guard.

Seeing Rex instantly made his body tense up out of survival instinct.

"I am only stalling him," Lilliana glanced at him—and shrugged. "He seed to have already given up trying to run away."

"Give up running away? It’s a bit too early to do that, don’t you think?" Rex’s lethal eyes locked onto Caspian; a knowing smile sliced across his face. He tilted his head, studying him like prey that started to beco interesting. "Usually, when soone stops resisting this easily, it’s one of two things. Either they’ve fallen into despair..." His smile widened. "Or they’re very, very confident they’ll survive."

Caspian unconsciously swallowed at what he said.

It felt like Rex could see through anything, and that’s not a good thing for him.

Initially, he was planning on digging more information.

No matter how he looked at the situation, it reeks of trouble.

He’d planned to learn more about this group. To report back and warn the others. But now, once again standing before Rex and feeling the imnse danger rolling off that casually relaxed body, Caspian, be it out of cowardice or another reason, changed his mind.

It happened quickly. Completely.

So information wasn’t worth the cost of gathering it.

"I’ll make sure to rember this!"

Caspian pounded his chest plate, and a glowing white crack spread across it.

Seeing this, Davina and Lilliana almost instantly moved, realizing that he was going to run away.

But despite their quick reflexes, the effect was even faster than they were.

Swish—!

"Darn it," Davina clicked her tongue in displeasure when her hand caught only air. "He escaped."

"We need to move," Lilliana frowned. "Others would flood this place soon."

"It doesn’t matter," Rex doesn’t sound concerned at all.

Unlike the others, he seed relaxed at Caspian’s escape. No surprise. No frustration. He looked like he had known this would happen all along. "The Gardeners’ masters must be important people. And it’s natural for important people to have life-saving asures. Though one might be too stubborn to use it until it’s too late."

It was the sa as the Godling earlier.

Rex already scanned him with the System and noted the life-saving item he wielded.

Even until the very end, that Godling was too stubborn to use it.

His ego was too big to admit that he had lost to a couple of beings from the lower planes, and he paid it with his life. "Frankly, his life-saving treasure is quite strong. It would teleport him away to safety by distorting space and ti. No matter how fast you are, it’s too late once it’s active."

"But?" Davina raised a brow, sensing that Rex had a way to deal with it.

"But unfortunately for the Godling, he’s facing ," Rex smirked. "I can sll fear and anger..."

In an instant, his eyes glowed with a reddish hue as the Absolute Anger Effect was activated again.

About ten miles away, he saw a figure of complete red—Caspian.

Becoming a Scion of Vertex—and transforming into a Blank placed Rex in a very dangerous position where many powerful beings are now aiming to kill him. However, it didn’t co without its own perks. One being the Absolute Effect.

Now that he is in the God Realm, he feels the full privilege of having the Absolute Anger Effect.

Since the power flowed directly from the Highseat of Invincibility, a special gift for Scions—who have proven their determination, only a few beings could sense it even in the God Realm. And without being able to sense it, nobody suspected that bearing anger or hate toward him was the wrong move.

It’s the worst mistake they’d ever make.

Doing so would an making them visible for Rex to track.

As the Scion from the Anger Stratum, he can sll those feelings like a vampire slling blood.

I wonder what’d happen if I used these two abilities at the sa ti.

Voidal energy swirled across Rex’s body as he began jumping in place, loosening muscles that had no business being any looser. Then he activated another skill, one that drew on kingly energy and moonlight alike. The sisters felt it gather in his legs. A brewing storm.

Both of them knew Rex was using an ability.

And when it was ready, each ti the tip of his foot touched the ground, a tremor spread.

It beca even more evident at the second step.

However, when the third step happened, Rex’s body disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Following that was a thunderous swirl of wind and the ear-shattering sound that followed way too late.

’So fast!’ Davina’s eyes widened at his sudden vanishing as it was faster than even her own perception. ’How many abilities did he use to be that fast?’

anwhile, miles away, Caspian crawled back into reality and looked around.

Living in this forest for all his life ant he knew every nook and cranny.

"How am I here...?" The words slipped out before he could stop them. This was Zev’s territory—close, too close. The treasure should have brought him ho. Instead, he’d landed here. His jaw tightened. "Did he do this?" He clenched his teeth. "I made the right call. Escaping was the only move."

Caspian turned and dashed away, heading straight ho.

But the wind shifted suddenly.

His senses picked up danger, and his ears caught the piercing sound that hurt his eardrums.

Instinctively, he looked over his shoulder, only to see a shadow reaching for him and arriving in a fraction of a second.

It only gave him a fraction of a second to digest what he was seeing before it took him.

"Eh...?"
