Now reading: Chapter 4 - 004 Brother-in-law is sure about you from The Invincible Son-in-law, a Mature novel by Innocent A-Liang.

Looking at the youthful and lovely girl in front of him, Lin Hao couldn't help but want to take action imdiately.

Naturally, he wanted to stop the beauty from continuing to sway, reaching out to grab those slender jade hands. They were soft and delicate in his grasp, incredibly pleasant to hold.

Luo Yii felt as if she'd been electrocuted when her brother-in-law grabbed her hand, pulling back quickly, her face flushed red with embarrassnt.

"Xiaoi, why are you getting shy? Didn't your brother-in-law just touch you?" Lin Hao teased with a smile.

"No, brother-in-law, I have to go to work now." Luo Yii hurriedly stood up and quickly got into the elevator.

Watching her graceful figure leave, a sly smile appeared on the corner of Lin Hao's mouth.

"Xiaoi, your brother-in-law has you!"

In the previous life, Lin Hao endured humiliation and hardship, and in this life, driven by a desire for revenge, he seed to have darkened a bit.

...

After leaving the hotel and just sitting in his car, Lin Hao received a call from his wife.

"Lin Hao, you bastard, when I'm not ho, you're fooling around with another woman. Do you not want to continue this marriage?" Su Muyun yelled furiously.

Speaking of this beautiful wife, she was once one of the top beauties in Wucheng County. If Lin Hao hadn't been under the halo of his father, Secretary of the City Discipline Inspection Commission, the Su Family wouldn't have married their daughter to him.

In the beginning, the two were very much in love. Since Lin Hao's father had a car accident, Su Muyun began to distance herself from Lin Hao, and their relationship faded.

Today, upon hearing about Lin Hao's scandal with Li Jingyi, naturally, she called imdiately to scold him.

"Wife, don't listen to their nonsense. Those are baseless rumors." Lin Hao explained with a bitter face.

"Baseless? It's spreading in your unit; there's no smoke without fire. You sneak around behind my back, do you believe I'll make you wear a green hat?" Su Muyun yelled angrily.

"Wife, is it that Luo Zhijun bastard gossiping in front of you?" Lin Hao asked coldly.

"It doesn't matter who I heard it from. If you want to climb higher, then let's just get a divorce to save from holding you back." Su Muyun still didn't trust him.

"Wife, get a divorce? Didn't you say you wanted to have a child?" Lin Hao said with a bitter face.

"A child? Dream on! I'd rather have a child with soone else than with you!" Su Muyun was still angry.

"Co on, after all these years, do you still not trust ?" Lin Hao persuaded once again.

"Trust you? Now that it's all over town, how do you expect to trust you?" Su Muyun, still angry, said with a sowhat softened tone.

Last night's incident had Lin Hao frad, and it might as well have been that bastard Luo Zhijun pulling strings behind the scenes.

Although he indeed had so involvent with Li Jingyi, he didn't feel he'd been unfaithful, rather he saw himself as the victim.

In the three years of marriage, he had no major problems with Su Muyun, and he didn't want to abandon his loyal wife.

"It really was just soone scheming against . You know when the forr secretary was taken by the commission, as his secretary, I naturally got a lot of grief. I believe everything will be clarified." Lin Hao said confidently.

"Really?" Su Muyun seed to believe him a little.

"Of course it's true. You know that bastard Luo Zhijun has always disliked ." Lin Hao said solemnly.

"Don't ntion him, the brother-in-law takes better care of ho and treats the sister well. If you're half as good as him, that would be sothing." Su Muyun said coldly.

Lin Hao knew that Luo Zhijun had always been after his wife and had ntioned it multiple tis in front of him, it's just that his wife was relatively naive.

Like him, Luo Zhijun was a son-in-law to the Su Family, so naturally, the father-in-law and mother-in-law would compare them.

Since Lin Hao's father's car accident, the Su Family figured he would have no more opportunities to advance, and their attitude towards him took a sharp turn for the worse.

With the forr secretary brought down, they thought Lin Hao's last pillar of support had also fallen, so their attitude was even more hostile.

Lin Hao now had no choice but to appease Su Muyun with sweet words, which relieved her anger a great deal.

"Luo Zhijun, damn it, you're screwing again from behind? Sooner or later, I'll kill you, you bastard!"

Lin Hao was full of hatred but had nowhere to express it. He'd just arrived at the county committee's gate when the security guard stopped him and handed him a package.

Even though Lin Hao felt he hadn't ordered anything recently, seeing his na and phone number on the box, he accepted it.

After parking his car, Lin Hao picked up the box and tore open the seal, only to find a letter inside, with his own na on it.

Who sent this to ?

Full of confusion, Lin Hao's first reaction was to quickly open the envelope and discovered there was actually a key inside.

"Lin Hao, by the ti you receive this letter, I may have already been taken by the commission, or perhaps I might not be in this world anymore…"

Lin Hao took one glance and instantly recognized the handwriting was that of the forr Secretary Zhang Jianming, and he was imdiately drenched in cold sweat.

Is this from Secretary Zhang himself? Why send it to ? What exactly does he want to tell ?

Lin Hao hid in his car, finished reading Secretary Zhang's letter, and fell into silent contemplation.

The letter told him that Secretary Zhang had been deeply sinful, deserved all he got, and only wished Lin Hao could take care of his only daughter.

As a return favor, Secretary Zhang gave him a house key and inford him that the house was in a certain neighborhood in Wucheng County.

Without a doubt, this house must be where Secretary Zhang stored his ill-gotten gains, and surely contained a significant amount of wealth.

Secretary Zhang entrusted all this wealth to Lin Hao, with a single request, to take care of his only daughter, Zhang Shuhan.

The letter ntioned that Zhang Shuhan was studying at a university in the city, needing support for living expenses and tuition, asking Lin Hao to pay for them to avoid suspicion.

Of course, Lin Hao could also report these assets to the Discipline Inspection Commission, earning rit and reward, but he'd still need to cover Zhang Shuhan's living and tuition costs.

To report or not to report?

In the previous life, when the package arrived, Lin Hao was supposed to be summoned by the commission, hence it would have been confiscated by them.

No wonder the commission later announced they found Secretary Zhang's ill-gotten gains and solidified his charges, otherwise, it wouldn't have been so fast to catch Secretary Zhang.

Now, even if the commission has so evidence, it's small potatoes, at most a demotion or dismissal, but won't ultimately force Secretary Zhang to commit suicide.

Thinking back to his father arranging work through Secretary Zhang, they must have had more than a casual relationship. Possibly, they were on the sa side, otherwise, why did Secretary Zhang also get investigated after his father's car accident?
