Nowadays, Qiansii's industries are far more than just costics, covering a wide range of fields. But the headquarters hasn't moved and is still in the Xianglong Building.
Walking in the familiar building, Lin Tian took the elevator to the rooftop office of Bai Shishi.
Bai Shishi wasn't working. Instead, she was leaning back in her chair, eyes closed, resting, pondering sothing unknown.
Lin Tian tiptoed over; he didn't want to be discovered, and Bai Shishi indeed didn't notice him.
Suddenly, Bai Shishi sensed soone behind her before she could turn around, her shoulders were gripped by two broad hands.
"It's ," Lin Tian whispered.
Imdiately, Bai Shishi's entire guard dropped, she complained, slightly annoyed, "Why are you sneaking around like a thief, without making a sound?"
"Haha, wasn't it that I saw you were too tired and didn't want to disturb you?"
"And yet you still startled ?" After a pause, Bai Shishi said, "I've heard so news these past couple of days that a big shot with the surna Wang has been taken down by the joint forces of more than ten factions. Was this all your doing?"
Lin Tian opened his mouth in surprise, "You even know about this?"
Lin Tian had always been behind the scenes, and only the people at Luoyan Dock knew about it. How did Bai Shishi, who wasn't at that level, co to know?
"Looks like it's true. This news wasn't sothing I went digging for; it just reached my ears overnight. It seems now you're not only renowned in dical circles but probably quite famous in the political arena too." Lin Tian nodded, "I understand. I didn't plan on wading into these murky waters initially. I ca this ti just to tell you that I plan to take Ruyan to South City."
Bai Shishi said nothing, softly tapping her thigh, thinking about sothing.
"Acknowledging her roots?"
Lin Tian shook his head, "She's not a child anymore; this kind of thing isn't up to , and besides, I'm not in charge of the Xu Family. Her father is ill; emotionally and logically, she should go back to see him, right?"
"You should discuss this with her. I've never asked much about their family matters or known much, but you better respect her opinion. After all, the Xu Family owes Ruyan a lot."

Later, Lin Tian and Bai Shishi together tried to persuade i Ruyan to go back to South City, as it was actually Xu Miaoqiu's intention, but because it involved the Xu Family, she couldn't say much either.
i Ruyan was actually still concerned about her father deep down. Otherwise, she wouldn't have risked her life back then to beco the core of the array.
After much persuasion, i Ruyan finally agreed to go to the Xu Family, not to acknowledge her roots, but just to see her long-ill father.
The flight was booked for two in the afternoon. Including Lin Tian, i Ruyan, Miaoqiu, the elder, and Nanqiu, there were five people, each with a small backpack, but no luggage. Whatever was needed could be bought directly.

The driver who received them turned out to be a girl younger than Lin Tian by a year, who introduced herself as Nao Nao.
She lived up to her na, lively and vibrant, like a child who hasn't grown up yet, but quite knowledgeable.
Also from the Xu Family, Mi'Er is like a shy budding lotus, pure and flawless.
But Nao Nao? One doesn't know who influenced her growing up, she's like a skilled driver, able to operate heavy machinery, and very striking, with eyes that can captivate anyone.
Upon seeing Lin Tian for the first ti, Nao Nao, without any hesitation towards others, cheerfully greeted with a bright smile, "Hello, brother-in-law~"
This unfamiliar term indeed startled Lin Tian, but it was not incorrect after all, considering that Lin Tian and Miaoqiu were already like a married couple.

All of this was seen by i Ruyan, whose face gradually cooled down, seemingly able to freeze the air into ice.
Throughout the journey, although Lin Tian and Miaoqiu didn't act particularly intimate, i Ruyan still sensed sothing wasn't right between them but couldn't pinpoint what exactly.
Now hearing Nao Nao's words, if she pretended not to know, she'd be an absolute fool.
