Now seeing i Ruyan, she rembered so past events, and her heart tightened up again.
"Mom, this is Ruyan. Haven't you told to take care of her these past few years? How co you don't recognize her?" Xu Miaoxiu said.
"Yes, yes, Ruyan." Bai Ping looked at i Ruyan, took a step closer to her, squinted, and smiled, "She really has changed a lot. The little girl from before has grown into such a beautiful lady now, I didn't recognize her at first."
Ruyan's personality was cold, not suited for such occasions. She simply nodded and replied softly, "Hmm."
"Have you been doing well these years?"
"Yes." i Ruyan still responded tersely.
Towards Bai Ping, she still had complex feelings, not knowing whether to feel resentnt or gratitude.
"This child, still the sa personality." Bai Ping laughed. i Ruyan's cold attitude did not surprise her; she actually felt a bit sorry. This child had a hard life since young.
"Ruyan, it's been years since Auntie saw you. Can you keep Auntie company for a chat?" Bai Ping asked.
This made i Ruyan pause, should she agree or not? It seed there was nothing much to talk about between them.
Bai Ping smiled, "Actually, nothing much, just talk about daily life and your mother's past. You probably know little about the past."
Upon hearing this, i Ruyan's eyes flashed, and then she nodded, the excitent evident in her expression.
"Miaoxiu, take these guests to their rooms, make sure to entertain them well." Bai Ping said, and then affectionately grabbed i Ruyan's hand, smiling: "Let's find a quiet place to chat slowly."
Such an intimate gesture, i Ruyan did not resist but turned to Xu Miaoxiu and said, "No matter the outco, I don't want your Xu family to trouble Lin Tian."
Miaoxiu nodded, "Rest assured, I wouldn't do such a bridge-burning thing."
"I'm referring to the other people in your Xu family." i Ruyan emphasized. She had no good feelings toward this Xu Family.
Before Miaoxiu could speak, Bai Ping spoke first, "Don't worry, whether your father recovers or not, no one will trouble Lin Tian, I guarantee it!"
After speaking, Bai Ping looked at i Ruyan with pity again, wondering what suffering this child had endured to have such resentnt toward the Xu family?

Lin Tian's room door was knocked; upon opening, it was i Ruyan.
Her eyes were red and swollen, with dark circles beneath them. Clearly she hadn't slept well yesterday, understandably so; with her father suffering so, how could she sleep soundly?
"What are you looking at?" i Ruyan asked angrily, "Breakfast is ready."
Lin Tian smiled wryly, her temper hadn't eased yet. Was she really angry or just jealous, or perhaps both?
"There's no rush to eat, let massage your eyes first, they're red, swollen, and have dark circles, not looking good." Lin Tian said.
i Ruyan shook her head, "No need."
"What do you an no need? My massage is much better than using those costics."
Lin Tian stepped back, creating space for her to enter.
i Ruyan did not go along with it but turned to leave.
In two swift steps, Lin Tian crossed over, pulling her smooth hand back, then closed the door, enclosing an ice-cold beauty indoors.
"What are you doing?" i Ruyan asked coldly.
Lin Tian could tell she was a bit angry, likely to lash out in the next second.
Lin Tian pulled over a chair, letting her sit, then smiled apologetically, "Crying all night, your eyes must be sore and tired. Let massage them for you, then it'll be fine. Be good."
i Ruyan initially wanted to get up from the chair, but upon hearing the words 'be good' and feeling Lin Tian's warm hand on her forehead, she stayed put. After all, it was a free massage, why not enjoy it?
Though he called it a massage, it wasn't much different from eye exercises. The only difference was Lin Tian's ten fingers contained spiritual energy, bearing miraculous effects.

"Alright then." Lin Tian replied with a wry smile, who knew who had angered this lady.
Continuing, Lin Tian moved his fingers to i Ruyan's forehead point, Baihui Acupoint, and sleep acupoint, and the spiritual energy quickly soothed her to sleep, with light snores rising.
Just as Lin Tian was about to put the sleeping i Ruyan on the bed, there was another knock on the door and Miaoqiu's voice ca from outside, "I'm coming in."
Given their established relationship, Miaoqiu didn't consider much courtesy, she pushed the door open.
And then, saw Lin Tian holding i Ruyan.
Lin Tian suddenly felt a tingling at the back of his head, caught in the act.
