If I had known this would happen, I wouldn't have teased her. It would have been better to let her get to the tea shop early and handle things quickly so she could rest.
From yesterday until now, it's been a series of ordeals. Let alone that Bai Shishi is a woman; it's been really tough for her to hold out this long.
"So, have you forgiven ?"
Bai Shishi suddenly spoke up.
"Of course!"
"I never blad you, I was just kidding with you!"
"Hurry and get busy with your tasks, finish them quickly and find a place to sleep well. You must be exhausted!"
Lin Tian said, feeling extrely touched.
"Then you two chat, I'm leaving first!"
Bai Shishi nodded, seeing Lin Tian forgive her, her lips finally broke into a joyful smile, and she quickly left the ward.
Originally, i Ruyan was so cold, Lin Tian didn't even know what to say to this cool and icy woman. Once Bai Shishi left, he didn't know what to say even more.
Having no choice, he pretended to be sleepy, yawned, and asked, "Are you staying here with all day today?"
"Mm!"
i Ruyan nodded. Perhaps because they had nothing to say, she took out her phone from the black leather bag on the bedside table and started playing!
Seeing i Ruyan playing on her phone, Lin Tian shrugged helplessly. Since lying there was boring anyway, he might as well nap, so he closed his eyes and prepared to sleep.
Unfortunately, the sounds of i Ruyan playing her mobile ga rang constantly in his ears, making it impossible for him to calm down and fall asleep. He wanted to say sothing but didn't dare, so he lay there with eyes closed, killing ti.
"As a student, why are your skills so impressive?" The ditative Lin Tian suddenly heard i Ruyan's question beside his ear.
"Ah?"
Never managing to sleep, Lin Tian opened his eyes, completely unprepared for i Ruyan to ask this question, and froze.
"You're a student, still in high school, why do you have such impressive skills?"
Seeing Lin Tian's expression, i Ruyan repeated the question, thinking he hadn't heard.
This ti, hearing clearly what i Ruyan asked, Lin Tian replied, "Does being a high school student contradict having impressive skills?"
"Your skills don't seem like those a high school student would possess!"
i Ruyan was skeptical of Lin Tian's words.
Although her interactions with Lin Tian were not as frequent as Bai Shishi's, her views on things were completely different from Bai Shishi's.
Lin Tian asked, utterly confused, "Are my skills that impressive?"
"A high school student confronting bank robbers?"
"If that doesn't count as impressive, then I don't know what does!"
i Ruyan crossed her arms over her chest, her cold, beautiful eyes like arrows, staring at Lin Tian as if to see through him.
"When I was little, I really loved watching Jackie Chan's action movies, and whenever I had free ti, I'd learn a few moves from the movies. Actually, I'm not really that impressive; those robbers were just too weak!" Lin Tian was candid.
Honestly, those robbers looked fierce and evil, but had no real skill.
They were just trying to scare people with knives or axes. They could frighten ordinary folks, but when facing soone with so skills, they'd have to flee.
"Are you lying?"
i Ruyan's beautiful eyes t Lin Tian's dark ones, questioning.
"No, I'm telling the truth!"
Lin Tian felt anxious inside, as if i Ruyan's icy gaze could see through his thoughts.
"I'm very curious about you!"
i Ruyan saw that Lin Tian wasn't avoiding eye contact, yet still unwilling to speak the truth, and said seriously.
If at first, in the tea shop, eting Lin Tian, i Ruyan was sowhat annoyed by him, but as later encounters proceeded, she grew extrely curious about him, wanting to know everything about this man, even she couldn't explain why.
Deep down, she felt Lin Tian was not simple, definitely more than an ordinary person, but as for what it actually was, i Ruyan couldn't say.
"You're curious about ?"
As Lin Tian spoke, he waved his right hand in front of i Ruyan, looking surprised, "Are you crazy?"
If he said that to Bai Shishi, she might respond with, "You're the crazy one!"
But saying it to i Ruyan, she had no reaction at all.
"I will definitely see through you!"
After a mont's silence, i Ruyan's voice seed like a vow, increasing in pitch.
"Whatever!"
Outwardly, Lin Tian appeared resigned, but he couldn't help but ponder deeply; i Ruyan really had keen perception. Their interactions could be counted on one hand, yet she noticed sothing unusual?
But when it ca to concealnt, Lin Tian was absolutely confident. As long as the secrets of his body remained unknown, no one could figure him out.
Fearing i Ruyan would notice him secretly thinking, Lin Tian felt very aggrieved, "Didn't you dislike n? When did you start being curious about ?"
"Hmph!"
i Ruyan snorted coldly, lowered her arms from across her chest, and continued to play on the phone placed by the bed.
The morning passed with Lin Tian vegetating, wanting to sleep, while i Ruyan was happily playing on her phone.
Until midday, i Ruyan broke the silence in the ward, "What do you want to eat?"
"Whatever."
Lin Tian lazily stretched, not even wanting to open his eyes.
"Then I'll go buy so food. If you need anything, ask the nurse for help first!"
i Ruyan picked up her black leather bag and left the ward.
As soon as i Ruyan left, Lin Tian instantly felt the ward warm up: "This woman is really cold; speaks coldly, acts coldly, even looks coldly beautiful!"
"I truly wonder which unlucky man will marry her in the future!"
Lin Tian expressed his dissatisfaction, yawning, "Life in this ward is truly unbearable, not being able to do anything is suffocating!"
Inside the room, Lin Tian complained, while outside, there arose a noisy racket, like a dispute or possibly a fight.
"Get away from !"
A woman's icy shout.
"Beautiful, just give your phone number!"
A man's sleazy laugh.
"I wonder which hooligan spotted a pretty little nurse and is harassing her again!"
The noise was a bit far away, Lin Tian could barely catch the gist, and couldn't resist a cheeky remark.
This is just how society is now; if a man has so money, he thinks he's like an ancient emperor, that all the beauties in the world should be attracted to him.
"Bang!"
Just as Lin Tian was nonchalantly brushing off the world's affairs, the ward door was slamd open, i Ruyan stord in, placing the lunchbox on the table.
Unfortunately, no matter how fast i Ruyan was, she couldn't beat the speed of the man outside. A chunky fellow, wearing ripped jeans, a skull T-shirt, and sporting a big gold chain around his neck, already stood at the door: "Beautiful, just give your phone number, let's have dinner tonight!"
