Looking at the massive structures not far away, i Ruyan asked, "Are we going in?"
"Let's assess the situation for now!" Lin Tian, holding a cigarette in his mouth, carefully observed the Water Joy Valley under construction.
The main gate was securely closed, with towering entertainnt facilities inside. So were only half-built, appearing to be still under construction.
Though this street was not bustling, it was still a main road, with vehicles passing by now and then, their headlights pricking Lin Tian and i Ruyan's eyes.
"i, you scout around nearby and keep an eye on the outside situation. I'll make a trip inside!" After observing Water Joy Valley, Lin Tian decided to infiltrate further.
i Ruyan nodded, "I understand!"
Lin Tian and i Ruyan split up, and Lin Tian began walking closely along the wall of Water Joy Valley.
He reached a secluded spot without street lamps, glanced around to ensure no one was present, took a few steps back, then used a running start to propel his feet against the wall, grasping the top of the wall with both hands and flipping over, entering the amusent park.
Once inside Water Joy Valley, Lin Tian realized the amusent park's sheer size. It was so vast that words failed to describe it, with no end in sight; the dim view was filled with various dark structures.
"This is like searching for a needle in a haystack!" Lin Tian sighed, having no choice but to start searching each building on foot.
Activating his eye's X-ray ability, Lin Tian quickly discovered people in the amusent park. However, upon closer inspection, he found they were just so sleeping workers, presumably living in the amusent park, working during the day and resting at night.
As he wandered aimlessly through the amusent park, Lin Tian suddenly felt waves of dizziness, scaring him enough to retract his gaze, slightly alleviating the dizziness.
"Could prolonged use of X-ray vision be taxing on the body?" Lin Tian felt his physical discomfort and realized this.
From day to night, he had used X-ray vision too many tis. Initially, he felt nothing, but now he was beginning to feel a bit dizzy.
To confirm whether the discomfort was related to the X-ray vision, Lin Tian changed his gaze again, and the dizziness worsened.
"It's indeed the case!" Lin Tian squatted down, breathing heavily.
"It seems I can't exhaust myself too much!" With his body under strain, Lin Tian didn't dare use X-ray vision again, and could only search each place with his naked eyes.
After nearly half an hour, Lin Tian finally reached the deepest part of the amusent park and saw the seaside and beach.
Listening to the whistling sea breeze and the swishing sound of waves crashing onto the beach, Lin Tian realized that the sounds here were identical to those from Bai Jiaming's phone call.
"This should be the place!" Lin Tian stood still, looking around in all directions.
A large pirate ship and a Ferris wheel were the only entertainnt facilities outside the beach. The beach was utterly empty; if Bai Shishi were really hidden here, it wouldn't be in the exposed, empty beach, would it?
"So it's either the pirate ship or the Ferris wheel?" Lin Tian first looked at the pirate ship on the left, then glanced at the Ferris wheel on the right.
Ultimately, Lin Tian headed towards the pirate ship on the left, not because Bai Shishi was hidden there, but because he was afraid of heights, so he chose to go to the Ferris wheel last.
A massive ship-shaped tal structure hung on a large building, filled with seats, depicting the image of the pirate ship.
Because the amusent park was not yet completed, the pirate ship hadn't been used, so the ticket-check area was all locked with chains, presumably to prevent anyone from entering.
Lin Tian circled the pirate ship, finding it unusually clean, with all doors and windows locked, suggesting no one was inside.
Even if a kidnapper could hide in harsh conditions, you'd still need to open windows for ventilation, right?
With doors and windows tightly shut, it didn't seem like anyone was inside.
Lin Tian sighed. Although unwilling, he had no choice but to head toward the Ferris wheel.
Arriving at the building supporting the Ferris wheel, Lin Tian imdiately saw an open window, prompting him to continue cautiously, hardly setting foot openly.
With all doors and windows open, there must be soone inside.
Lin Tian, despite his strong dizziness, peeked inside and found there were indeed many people within the gigantic building.
"Bang!" Lin Tian lost his balance and fell to the ground, the dizziness nearly knocking him out.
"No! I can't keep going on like this!" Struggling to his feet, Lin Tian realized he absolutely couldn't use X-ray vision anymore; otherwise, he wouldn't even manage to save anyone before fainting himself.
Breathing heavily a few tis to calm himself, Lin Tian climbed through the window into the building.
The structure beneath the Ferris wheel consisted of two rectangles enclosing the massive Ferris wheel, with a corridor connecting the two rectangular buildings below the Ferris wheel.
Within the rectangular building Lin Tian entered, there was no one, as all the people were in the opposite rectangular building, and the distance was too great to make out appearances.
Moving unimpeded through the corridor connecting the two buildings, Lin Tian cautiously advanced against the wall but quickly stopped.
Thanks to the faint moonlight, Lin Tian clearly saw a string on the ground with a bell tied to it.
If Lin Tian had accidentally tripped over the string just now, the bell would have surely rung.
Such a subtle trick couldn't possibly be set up by the workers.
"It's definitely here!" Seeing the string, Lin Tian realized all his suspicions were correct.
There's a high chance Bai Shishi is hidden here!!!
"But with these strings, how do I get in?" Lin Tian was troubled, as he only discovered the string by the moonlight; further in, it was all dark. These strings surely served as a warning, likely not just one string. If he tripped over one, the ringing bell would alert the enemy.
Racking his brain, Lin Tian couldn't think of a better idea, but just then, a strong gust of wind blew.
The bell rang suddenly, startling Lin Tian into quickly finding a hidden spot to hide.
However, after a few rings, no one ca.
"What on earth is the opponent planning?" Seeing no one approaching, Lin Tian couldn't figure out the opponent's intentions.
If these strings weren't to prevent intruders, why set them up?
But having set them, the bell rang, yet no one ca to check?
This left Lin Tian a bit bewildered.
With no other choice, Lin Tian squinted his eyes, scrutinizing the massive Ferris wheel.
There were many strings in front, each with a bell. However, Lin Tian soon discovered these strings ford a chanism.
If you touched one, the string would retract, causing a silver needle at the end to shoot out.
"What a sneaky tactic!" Lin Tian muttered, "The designer of this chanism is certainly not simple."
