Lin Tian had lost count of how many tis he perford artificial respiration.
It wasn't until the mont the elevator doors opened, and the light poured in like a savior, that Lin Tian finally moved away from Bai Shishi's soft, fragrant red lips.
The taste lingered endlessly in his mind!!!
"How is she? Is anything wrong?" The elevator rescue worker saw Bai Shishi leaning in the corner, with Lin Tian kneeling in front of her, and asked with concern.
"She's unconscious, call an ambulance imdiately!" Even though Lin Tian had perford artificial respiration, Bai Shishi remained unresponsive.
As the elevator opened, Lin Tian anxiously stood up, picked up Bai Shishi, and rushed out of the elevator.
The rescue personnel, seeing Bai Shishi in Lin Tian's arms, imdiately realized she was unconscious and took out their phone without hesitation to call for ergency dical assistance.
As for Lin Tian, he was racing with Bai Shishi in his arms to the ergency exit stairway because the elevator was out of service; the only way down was the ergency stairway.
Taking advantage of the ti the rescue personnel were making the call, Lin Tian made haste to get Bai Shishi to the first floor.
This way, when the ambulance arrived, they could imdiately transport Bai Shishi to the hospital, ensuring her safety.
Hence, in the ergency stairwell, even though many employees were using the stairs due to the power outage, they witnessed a young man drenched in sweat, carrying an unconscious woman, furiously rushing downstairs.
"Make way, make way!" Lin Tian shouted as he desperately dashed towards the first floor, oblivious to the sweat drenching him.
The people around instinctively hugged the walls, clearing a path for Lin Tian, allowing him to reach the first floor with Bai Shishi in his arms under their watchful eyes.
"Huff huff..." Lin Tian panted heavily, still holding Bai Shishi, standing at the building's entrance, waiting anxiously for the ambulance.
"Man, you have so stamina!" once Lin Tian reached the lobby with Bai Shishi, a rescue worker, gasping and bending over, stood beside Lin Tian and complinted him out of breath.
"It's you who lacks stamina!" Lin Tian chuckled; he was so focused on Bai Shishi that he didn't feel tired at all!
All he cared about was her being alright.
"I used to be an athlete when I was younger, and I'm supposed to have good stamina."
"We have a guy at our workplace just like you; he needs to rest twice just to climb up five floors!"
"Not to ntion having to carry soone like you did!" The rescue worker gave Lin Tian a thumbs up.
"Mm...!" Just as they were talking, Bai Shishi, in his arms, let out a faint moan as if she was waking up.
"Miss Bai, Miss Bai, wake up!" Lin Tian gently shook Bai Shishi, trying to revive her, but her tightly shut eyes dispelled that hope once more.
That Bai Shishi could still moan indicated there wasn't any danger; her unconsciousness was likely due to breathing difficulties, and there was no significant concern.
Even though Bai Shishi hadn't regained consciousness, Lin Tian was no longer as worried as before.
"The ambulance is here, get her on it quickly!" Just as Lin Tian focused his attention on Bai Shishi, a rescue worker pointed at a rapidly approaching white ambulance.
Lin Tian glanced up and then, holding Bai Shishi, sprinted toward the ambulance once more.
After Bai Shishi was placed on the stretcher and the ambulance, flashing blue lights, disappeared from view, Lin Tian finally took a deep breath.
By this ti, he was thoroughly drenched in sweat...
"Huff huff!" After a few deep breaths, Lin Tian regained his rhythm, turned around, and re-entered the building's main entrance.
He didn't accompany Bai Shishi to the hospital because he had sothing more important to investigate.
The sudden power outage, the blocked elevator ventilation shaft, it all seed a bit too coincidental.
But during the ti it took to escort Bai Shishi to the ambulance, as Lin Tian prepared to return by the ergency stairway, he was surprised to find that the central air conditioning in the building had resud operation, filling the air with cool temperatures.
"There's power!" Lin Tian murmured, wondering if it ant the elevator was functional again.
Thus, holding a "take a look" thought, he entered the elevator, discovering it was indeed operational. The right-hand floor indicator displayed the number 1.
He reached out and pressed the open button, and the elevator doors opened.
Lin Tian turned around to head to the neighboring malfunctioning elevator because, at the ti, he had only been focused on Bai Shishi.
He hadn't had the chance to carefully observe the ventilation shaft, but everything seed coincidental, making Lin Tian suspicious of a problem.
His eyes narrowed slightly as the ventilation shaft reappeared in front of Lin Tian.
"I was wondering why soone would pass out, turns out the ventilation shaft was blocked!" Just as Lin Tian was observing, the elevator repair technician suddenly spoke up with curiosity.
"Master, do you an to say that soone intentionally blocked the vent?" Lin Tian asked.
"Absolutely, soone deliberately blocked it, otherwise how could there be anything around the vent, you must know the elevator is surrounded by concrete in a sealed space, nothing could possibly fall in!" The technician confidently said.
"The surrounding area is all cent, besides you technicians, who else could block the vent!" Lin Tian asked in a roundabout way.
If soone deliberately obstructed the vent, and all of this was such a coincidence, with the two entering the elevator and losing power, then power being restored as soon as they stepped out.
Such a coincidence, no wonder Lin Tian was left with suspicions.
"Who else could do it?" The technician thought quietly for a mont.
"The building's security perhaps, since they have the elevator keys. We only co when there's a fault or regular maintenance. If there were fatalities, we, the maintenance crew, would certainly be responsible, so I reckon the security was trying to make trouble for us!"
The technician snorted coldly, "Seems like they're trying to get so benefit out of us again!"
"Security?" Lin Tian frowned, clearly, this matter wasn't simple.
Lin Tian recalled that this entire building belonged to Bai Shishi. Floors one to six housed a costics company, and floors six to ten were Xianglong Tea House.
The tea house had no security, only n in black, essentially like bodyguards.
Moreover, the tea house's surveillance room was manned by Ruyan, and Lin Tian believed no one could escape her cold gaze.
So, the issue lay with the company on floors one to six.
"Master, where was this elevator stopped just now?" Lin Tian asked to verify his hunch.
"The sixth floor!"
"Exactly!" A cold smile tugged at the corners of Lin Tian's mouth; if his judgnt was correct,
soone from Bai Shishi's company was possibly harming her.
But who could it be?
He had to find a way to expose them.
Clearly, he needed to personally visit Bai Shishi at the hospital.
With a quick stride, Lin Tian exited the elevator and walked towards the building's main entrance.
Unbeknownst to him, a shadowy figure in the corner was observing his every move...
