Hearing this piqued Yan Xiaobao’s curiosity. This world had been sealed and banned for four thousand years. Clearly, a great battle had taken place, but everything was shrouded in mystery. Now, these enigmas seed to be intertwined with Lan Feng in so way.
Yan Xiaobao and Lan Feng spent a slightly longer ti examining the map. Their desire to leave Liluo City and travel to Shenzhen wrestled within them, but after a few more minutes, Yan Xiaobao finally managed to suppress his impulses. With a smile, he walked toward the elder.
"Thank you for your help," Yan Xiaobao said politely before turning to head toward the library entrance, bowing gently to the elder. In truth, Yan Xiaobao was deeply curious about the many books within the library. He was quite sure he could find answers to his questions there, but now wasn’t the ti to focus on world history.
Firstly, it was evident that before he could think of leaving Liluo City, Yan Xiaobao needed to cultivate himself to at least an advanced tier. Secondly, Yan Xiaobao felt uncomfortable with the elder closely observing his every move, and so he decided to return another day.
The elder glanced at so of the recordings a few tis but quickly abandoned the notion of looking into this technique. Instead, he started reviewing all the noble families within the three allied kingdoms. So far, he had only found a minor family with the surna Hui, a noble household within Yue Liang Mansion. It was clear that Shunhua Yue was not from there. When the elder saw the white-haired boy disappearing in the distance, his lips let out a sigh.
Leaving the library peak, Yan Xiaobao walked across the academy buildings and ca across Rong Ming and Rong Xing as they erged from the Martial Arts Techniques Hall. Upon seeing Yan Xiaobao walking toward them, their faces broke into gentle smiles.
Yan Xiaobao had already promised Lan Feng he’d be going to get so food. Since the Rong twins hadn’t eaten yet, the three of them relocated to the dining hall, where they could talk about their first day at the academy.
Rong Ming shook his head slightly, while Rong Xing, hearing what had happened with Chenping, burst into laughter. The Rong twins began discussing which Martial Arts Techniques they’d be purchasing, and Yan Xiaobao observed them fondly—with a slight pang of guilt.
Yan Xiaobao planned to sell advanced Martial Arts Techniques within Liluo City, which might cause trouble for the Rong Family. They could end up spending large sums of money on useless techniques, or they might worry about rivals obtaining higher-tier techniques.
Though Yan Xiaobao felt guilty toward the Rong twins, he was acutely aware he had no other choice but to do this. The Rong Family had benefited from Yan Xiaobao for many years, though the reason for Lord Rong Liang’s enthusiastic attitude toward him remained unclear.
Even if the Rong Family had a positive view of Yan Xiaobao, if they discovered he ca from a poor village without cultivators, their attitude might suddenly beco cautious. Knowing he could extract powerful martial arts techniques, Yan Xiaobao’s only option was to sell them at black market auctions, hoping no one could activate them.
"What plans do you have for your first day at the academy?" Rong Ming suddenly asked Yan Xiaobao, turning to the white-haired boy lost in thought.
"Uh," Yan Xiaobao snapped back to the present, looking at Rong Xing before responding, "I need to go to Liluo City to search for sothing," he said slowly, hoping to avoid elaborating on what he sought.
"We’ll be visiting our father," Rong Xing explained. "We could give you a ride." Yan Xiaobao gratefully nodded, as it would certainly be quicker than walking.
"What do you need to do?" Rong Xing continued inquisitively. She was aware of Yan Xiaobao’s ager background and could only co up with one reason he’d visit Liluo City the day after pill distribution.
Seeing the concern on Rong Xing’s face, Yan Xiaobao smiled and waved his hand. "Don’t worry," he assured her. "I’m just making so investnts to ensure I can obtain more than one pill."
Though Rong Xing remained skeptical as a noblewoman, she found no reason to dispute any of Yan Xiaobao’s plans. After all, it was his own pill to manage.
Yan Xiaobao finally rose from his seat, using cultivation as an excuse to head to the courtyard. The previous conversation quickly resud its lighthearted and carefree tone. What he truly needed was to plan the sale of Martial Arts Skills, so he could find inner peace and focus on cultivation again.
Lan Feng could sense Yan Xiaobao’s worry over his current ideas, so he decided to share his thoughts on the Martial Arts Skills he planned to use.
"I do have quite a few Master and Grandmaster-ranked Martial Arts skills. They’re among the lowest-ranked ones I possess, but I think we shouldn’t sell these skills," Lan Feng began, "Although they rank lower compared to my other skills, their requirents are minimal, and they’re all well-crafted. If we sell those, we’re definitely asking for trouble."
Yan Xiaobao frowned upon hearing this, nodding slightly. "What’s your suggestion?" he asked, knowing Lan Feng was aware of the skills he possessed.
"I recomnd that when we go to Liluo City, we use the coins we gain from the pills to buy mory stones. If we have enough coins to purchase two stones, then we should buy two, as I have two skills in mind," Lan Feng said.
Yan Xiaobao nodded. For now, both he and Lan Feng were uncertain about how much they’d earn from the pills, so it was best to assu they could only afford one mory stone.
"The skills I’m suggesting are Middle-level King ranked. One is a Martial Arts Skill, and the other is a Spiritual Art Skill," Yan Xiaobao remained silent after hearing their high ranking. Lan Feng could understand his concern. If soone managed to truly activate those skills, they’d face significant trouble.
"Though it’s a high-tier skill, it’s the hardest one I have to use. These skills were crafted by an expert who aid to test his most powerful Qi and Spirit attacks after unlocking higher-tier Dantian levels. They were custom-made for one individual, so they impose insane demands on cultivators," Lan Feng explained.
"The Martial Arts skill is called Qi Burst. It involves channeling all of a cultivator’s Qi into a single kick. To activate it, cultivators need purer Qi than the expert who created the skill, and they must possess the sa quantity of Qi as the creator, if not more. Currently, we only know Lord Rong Liang and Bu Huang could potentially use it. But even if they can, it’s just a single Qi-based attack, and compared to the attacks they can unleash with higher-tier Dantian levels, it’s useless."
Yan Xiaobao nodded. This Martial Arts technique wasn’t as dangerous as he’d expected, since it could only be used by true experts, and true experts rarely relied on Qi alone.
"The Spiritual Art skill is the sa," Lan Feng continued. "It was also custom-made for an expert, and its requirents are even stricter. The cultivator needs to have the sa elental affinity for water as the expert and then release their spiritual power in the form of a tsunami."
Yan Xiaobao suddenly thought of sothing. "Wait, if they can’t use these skills, why would they buy them?" he asked. Lan Feng grunted softly.
"They won’t know whether they can use them until they master the skills. The Qi purity requirent is too vague compared to the creator’s standards, and no one can tell if their current cultivators will soday turn out capable."
Yan Xiaobao nodded slightly; it did seem plausible. A faint sense of calm surfaced within his soul, as though Lan Feng had truly thought this through. This calmness signaled the focus Yan Xiaobao needed to begin his training. He imdiately activated his Qi Guard, emptying his Qi vortex completely, then sat down to ditate, absorbing and refining the essence at an astonishing speed.
Yan Xiaobao glanced at Wang Julong, who sat beside him with his eyes closed and arms folded across his chest. It was clear the other boy completely ignored Yan Xiaobao, making the white-haired boy sigh deeply before he turned his gaze to Teacher Li Yuan.
That morning, just like the day before, Yan Xiaobao attended the classroom, where Teacher Li Yuan explained the various subjects available to students. At first, Yan Xiaobao failed to find any particularly interesting topics, but upon hearing about Cultivation History in the Sun Kingdom, his interest was instantly piqued. He hoped he might uncover clues related to the Divine Domain and the Dark Era.
Most of the civilian students had been placed in Qi Refinent and theoretical classes, as they had never received foundational knowledge about Martial Arts School cultivation.
