Now reading: Chapter 81 - 70: Spiritual Medicine from The Journey of Immortal Cultivation, a Romance novel by Wind passes between the water and clouds.

Ning Xiaoxian watched from the side and nodded. Deng Hao truly was an experienced leader; the fact that he could think of using gastric lavage to help He Xiaojiu with detoxification was much more effective than simply feeding him dicine pills.

After He Xiaojiu finished vomiting, Deng Hao fed him an Earth Bone Pill. The grade of this dicine was even higher than the previous Hundred Solutions Spirit Pill, so naturally, its effectiveness was better. Deng Hao was indeed generous to his subordinates; if He Xiaojiu had to pay for these two pills out of his own pocket, it would have taken nearly half of his two months’ salary.

Unfortunately, even after so ti since swallowing the pills, He Xiaojiu remained comatose, showing no signs of awakening, and the swelling in his body had not subsided. After a while, there were gurgling sounds from He Xiaojiu’s throat, and his eyelids twitched non-stop, indicating that complications had arisen.

How could this poison be so fierce? Deng Hao frowned, feeling montarily helpless.

How strange, these two types of dicine pills should not be ineffective. Ning Xiaoxian, enduring the stench, stepped forward and looked down at He Xiaojiu’s vomit, her heart suddenly startled.

This lad, what did he sneakily eat if not bear at? He also sliced off a big chunk of the liver! The demon bear’s skin is very hard and thick, but once skinned, the flesh is rather soft, as no demon has the skill to make its viscera as tough as an iron barrel. He Xiaojiu, being a foodie, knew that the liver, if prepared well, actually tasted the freshest, and so he could not resist slicing off a piece on impulse.

But Ning Xiaoxian knew that the liver was an organ responsible for detoxifying in living beings, and if poisoned, it would be the first to be affected. The demon bear had been poisoned for a long ti and had fought with the rchant team for quite a while. Its blood, loaded with toxins, circulated throughout its entire body, and its liver naturally worked overti. It can be said that aside from its right leg, its liver contained the deepest poison.

He Xiaojiu washed both the bear at and bear liver in the creek, which in theory was correct as it could rinse out as much of the toxins from the flesh as possible, but the poison in the liver was not so easily washed away. Thus, he was still unfortunately poisoned. Luckily, he ingested this poison orally; if he had an open wound that ca into contact with it, he would have perished within minutes, sparing everyone the trouble.

However, the poison was very potent and even had paralyzing side effects. Ordinary detoxification pills could not manage it.

While she was contemplating, Changtian spoke: "The dicine you made can save his life, why not hurry?"

In her heart, Ning Xiaoxian had long been eager to try, troubled by her lack of full confidence, but since Changtian had said it could save him, then it surely could. She stepped forward and said, "Brother Deng, may I give it a try?"

Deng Hao’s heart was troubled, not because of losing face in public if he failed to save soone, but rather for fear that He Xiaojiu’s poisoning would worsen. Hearing her volunteer herself, he hesitated for a mont before saying, "Alright." With no solution at hand, it wouldn’t hurt to let her try her thod.

Then they saw the maiden take out two dicine bottles, spilling out dicine that looked very familiar—these were the most basic elixirs, the "Antidote" and "Quhuang Powder."

A man close to He Xiaojiu couldn’t help but say, "Miss Ning, can your dicine really work? Even the two superior dicines used by Boss Deng had no effect." It wasn’t a problem if the dicine was ineffective; the problem was that any delay in treatnt would send his friend straight to Netherworld.

Ning Xiaoxian ignored him, only looking towards Deng Hao saying, "Successful or not, we will see after we try."

Deng Hao knew this girl had so mysterious abilities. Since she sold the Spirit Jade until now, she had been very honest and dutiful with the team. Recalling their first conversation and her cleverness, he even felt that the young maiden had been too low-profile all the way.

He nodded, stretched his hand to open He Xiaojiu’s mouth, and helped her to insert the dicine.

Afterward, everyone quietly waited, but after another 15 minutes, He Xiaojiu’s complexion still had not improved. Thus, everyone knew her dicine was still ineffective.

Ning Xiaoxian frowned, her heart tumultuous.

She had confidence in the dicine she had refined, and she had imnse trust in Changtian’s judgnt, yet He Xiaojiu’s poison truly had not been resolved. What was going on?

Changtian seed to be in deep thought as well, and both of them fell silent for the mont.

The n who got along well with He Xiaojiu sighed and turned to Deng Hao, pleading, "Boss Deng, feed him so more Spiritual dicine. At least let him alleviate his poison a bit, and we can think of another solution." One of them checked He Xiaojiu’s pulse and exhaled sharply, "His body has gone stiff!"
