Now reading: Chapter 877 - 483: True Intentions from The Journey of Immortal Cultivation, a Romance novel by Wind passes between the water and clouds.

The chaos of the night finally passed, the East sky revealed a fish-belly pale, soon the sun would break through the horizon. Jiu Mo sat on the soft couch of the adjacent compartnt, watching Tu Jin stand with arms crossed at the door, couldn’t help but ask: "Your injuries, are they a problem?"

He fought the White Bear for a long ti, his flesh bearing nurous scars, even in his human form several terrifying, fierce wounds clung to him. Despite the amazing self-healing ability of the Qishou, his clothes were still slowly seeping blood. Though these wounds weren’t fatal, they could cause imnse pain.

Tu Jin moved his lips: "They’re a problem. Help apply dicine." Suddenly, he felt a stir in his heart; in the past, Ning Xiaoxian, no matter how exhausted after battle, would heal his injuries. This ti, however, she seed to ignore his wounds, could she be leaving this opportunity to Jiu Mo?

He pulled over a brocade stool to sit down, taking off his upper clothes, finding that indeed his chest and back were covered with crisscross open wounds, the most severe of which were between the ribs, showing the pale white of bone.

"..." She shouldn’t have asked that. Jiu Mo reluctantly took out the dicine for wounds, walked behind him and snorted: "You have quite the courage, daring to let apply dicine for you. Aren’t you afraid I’ll poison you?"

Despite her fierce words, her treatnt of the wounds was gentle, first using clean fabric to absorb the pus and bone fragnts from the wounds before pouring out the next type of dicine. This dicine was for disinfection, though effective, it stung fiercely when applied to the wounds, akin to a blade slicing into flesh. As soon as the dicine was poured, she felt the body beneath her hand tense up suddenly, muscles taut, clearly from severe pain. Her heart sang with joy at this. Touching Tu Jin’s skin reminded her instantly of the endless pain he inflicted upon her with his tortures. Now having the chance to take revenge felt exhilarating; it seed to clear her mind considerably.

The man stifled a groan, the sound repressed and obscure, more like one would make in bed. At this point, she noticed his strong physique, not to ntion the eight abdominal muscles clearly defined on his belly, even the lines of his back muscles were prominently bulging, combining strength with beauty.

She couldn’t help but let her hand trace gently along these lines, then picked up a bit of blood from his wound, placing it in her mouth to suck, finding the sweet tallic taste so alluring.

Unexpectedly, this man had a hard heart, yet his blood was sweet and delicious.

She savored it for a mont before suddenly awakening: "What am I doing!"

Luckily, Tu Jin had his back to her, didn’t utter a sound, apparently not having noticed her actions. She quickly applied the dicine properly. Having managed the Hidden Stream for so many years, the dicine for wounds she carried was Top-grade; as soon as it was spread, it brought forth a refreshing sensation, even causing Tu Jin to take a long deep breath.

Among humans, there’s the saying, "It takes a hundred days to heal muscle and bone injuries," although a demon’s self-healing ability was strong, wounds that reached the bone still required one or two days of kung fu to heal. She finally took out a roll of fabric to wrap up the two bone-revealing wounds on his back, her arm unavoidably encircled his chest, and her front being quite ample, lightly touched against Tu Jin’s back as she leaned down.

He suddenly leaned back, pressing against her fullness.

Jiu Mo was startled, taking a large step back indignantly: "What are you doing!"

He replied: "Not afraid. You won’t."

"What?" She hadn’t heard clearly, so she asked again, yet Tu Jin ignored her. Only after a while, she realized that he was answering the previous question, and she felt a hatred that made her teeth itch. On what ground did he not fear her! The myriad of poisons she bore numbered in hundreds, capable of making soone desire to birth, and making soone desire Death, could leave a person wishing they had never been born.

She glared at him coldly: "You’re courting Death, don’t bla ." She pulled open the carriage door, transford into a bird form, and flew away.

Tu Jin watched her disappear into the distance, smirking slightly. He carried the inner core of the Poison Phoenix, this thing could ward off countless poisons, warming slightly upon encountering toxins. Though Jiu Mo’s words had been chilling, she hadn’t tampered with the wounds during the bandaging.

The two heavily injured Hidden Guards, previously sidelined as invisible people, exchanged glances, both with faces carrying a knowingly undisclosed smile. Tu Jin glared at them coldly: "She was once your Sect Leader, do I need to explain her character further? Keep smiling, and you’ll lose your lives."

The two shivered, their smiles vanishing.

Tu Jin wore his clothes back, leaned against the wall once more, and closed his eyes to rest.
