Julia's eyes were slightly hesitant. She glanced at the graceful curves of Candice's upper body and then looked down at her own. For so reason, she suddenly felt annoyed. Her joyful mood seed to have been hit by a bucket of cold water. She stood there dumbfounded, at a loss.

Julia looked up and carefully sized up Candice. At the sa ti, she heard Logan's cheerful voice. "Mom! Mom? Annie? Hurry up, we're waiting for you! Hurry! Hurry! The ga is about to start, and everything is ready. Hurry!"
Julia looked at Candice's right hand, then at the gesticulating Logan, and then at the smiling Lu Ke. A feeling of frustration surged up, but she didn't know how to express it. So, she stomped her foot. "Logan! You idiot!" After shouting, Julia turned around and ran up the stairs. The sound of her footsteps echoed as she went.
Tiffany Newman, who had just entered the living room, only managed to see Julia's back as she left. "Julia?" Tiffany turned a corner and entered the living room. "What's wrong with her? Logan, did you bully Julia again? Honestly, what did you do? What's going on?"
Logan stood there with a look of innocence. He spread his hands and shrugged his shoulders. "I..." His mind was full of question marks. He was also confused. Why was he being blad?
Tiffany didn't have ti to deal with this. "If it wasn't you, why did Julia just call your na? It wasn't Lu Ke, it wasn't your dad, it was you?" Logan let out a long sigh and scratched his head. He could only shout "Julia" as he rushed toward the second floor. The loud shouts echoed throughout the house. The ga hadn't even started, but it seed to have already entered a chaotic mode.
He shouted all the way but didn't get any response. Logan took two steps at a ti to get to Julia's room door and tried to open it, but it was locked. So, he knocked on it hard. The door rattled loudly. "Julia? If you don't open the door, I'm going to break it down! I'm serious."
"Bang! Bang, bang!"
The noise was so loud that the door started to tremble and almost broke. Just when it was about to shatter, Julia finally opened the door. She gave Logan two resentful stares and then angrily turned around and walked back into the room. "What do you want? Didn't you say you wouldn't talk to ? Just let stay upstairs by myself!"
Logan's mind was full of question marks. He couldn't figure out what was going on. He was originally going to stand at the door, thinking that all he had to do was shout, and Julia would co downstairs. But seeing that Julia had sat back down on the edge of her bed, he looked back at the downstairs. The countdown to the live broadcast was getting closer and closer. He sighed in frustration and then resignedly walked into the room. He grabbed a chair and sat down across from Julia. "What happened?"
Julia glared at Logan. She didn't want to talk to him, but after a second thought, she asked, "Who is Candice? What's with her?"
"Candy?" Logan blinked, completely confused. What did Candice have to do with this? "She's Bambi's good friend. She ca over to watch the ga. What's wrong?"
"She's Bambi's friend?" Julia pressed on.
Logan nodded. Although he was confused, he still answered instinctively. "Yes. Wait, she ca to San Francisco before when she was in college... Oh, I forgot, you went to the East Coast for a school event, so you weren't ho." The confusion had just appeared, and then he rembered. "She and Bambi... um, I think they've known each other since the seventh or eighth grade. Wow, it's almost been ten years now."
Logan was lost in his own mories and couldn't help but sigh. "Later, when Candy was in college, she was also in Los Angeles, so we saw each other often. What's wrong? Did Candy say sothing to you? She shouldn't have. Candy is straightforward and easygoing, and she's super sunny. She's easy to talk to and get along with. You'll like her."

If Julia rembered correctly, according to Chinese tradition, they don't easily bring friends to et their parents because once it's an official visit, the aning is completely different. This is different from the Arican culture. So, Lu Ke and Candice... Just thinking about it made Julia feel frustrated.
Logan instinctively caught the pillow like a football. He still didn't notice Julia's change in mood. He nodded as if it was a given. "Yes, Jack and Annie have already t her, and they get along very well. I rember they even had a barbecue party together before..."
Before he could finish, Julia laid down on the bed, burying her head in the pillow. Her legs were kicking the bed like she was swimming, expressing her frustration with her entire body. This caught Logan off guard again. "What's wrong? Did I say sothing wrong again?"
"You have a problem with Candy?" Logan finally noticed that sothing was wrong. Then a lightbulb went off in his head. He blinked and raised his voice in disbelief. "You like Bambi?"
Julia suddenly sat up and put her index finger on her lips, shouting nervously, "Shh!" At the sa ti, her eyes kept darting toward the downstairs, afraid that her secret would be discovered.
Logan didn't care at all. After his guess was confird, he widened his eyes, his face full of shock and disbelief. "What? You... you like Bambi?" His unbelievable voice had already started to crack. "How is that possible? What's going on? Did Bambi do sothing to you? That darn guy!"
"Logan!" Julia simply stood up and stomped on Logan's foot. Seeing that Logan was in pain, she quickly lowered her voice and said, "Be quiet! Do you want the whole family to hear?"
Logan finally realized the "seriousness" of the matter. He quickly covered his mouth, but his wide eyes were still full of surprise and doubt. He still couldn't believe it. Then he asked the most simple question, "Why?"
"Why not?" Julia retorted.
"No!" Logan said with determination. "You can't like Bambi! I won't allow it! I forbid it!"
Julia straightened her chest. "Why?" But then she realized that her curves weren't good enough, and she hunched over in frustration. All her confidence was gone.
Logan didn't notice Julia's small action. He was still imrsed in his own thoughts. "Because... because Bambi is a lunatic. Besides training, he doesn't know anything else. He doesn't know how to take care of others. He's like a robot. Also, um, also, he's incredibly ssy and unhygienic. He throws his dirty clothes everywhere, has a bad temper, often curses, and even gets into fights! He's completely irresponsible! That kind of man is the most unreliable!"
Julia frowned, her face full of doubt. "Are you sure you're talking about Lu Ke? Not yourself?"
"Of course!" Logan said eagerly. "It definitely can't be Bambi! He, he's really terrible!"
Brothers are brothers, and sisters are sisters. They are two different things!
Logan couldn't imagine a scenario where Lu Ke and Julia were dating. Just thinking about it made him shiver. The feeling was just too weird! He had to stop it! He thought Lu Ke was a gentleman, but he didn't expect that even with all his precautions, a thief would still co from his own family. His sister had a crush on Lu Ke! That darn guy!
"I think he's great. He's great in every way!" Julia said with determination. "I... I'm going to fight for it!"
"No!" Logan shouted again. Then, facing Julia's stubborn gaze, he added, "Because he and Candy are dating!"

Logan closed his eyes and gritted his teeth, saying heartlessly, "And their relationship is very stable! Bambi is even preparing to propose!"
