"Attack!"

Lu Ke held the football with both hands, thodically moving to the left with a lateral crossover step. The entire offensive line was also highly focused, synchronously moving to the left.

On the left, Joe Staley and Mike Iupati intentionally staggered their defensive positions but held their ground firmly, using their shoulders to constantly hit the opposing defensive linen and disrupt their forward montum.

On the right, Anthony Davis and Alex Boone consciously compressed their stance, intentionally opening up the space on their right side to create an opportunity for the defensive players to blitz the quarterback: a classic lure-them-into-a-trap tactic.

Lu Ke's steps were steady, but his peripheral vision ticulously captured the running routes of all the defensive players. His first reaction was to check the open space on the right, to see if the aggressive defensive linen would fall for the trap and blitz.

This intentionally opened lane was a form of feinting. He created an opening to lure the defense, then planned to adjust his strategy based on their reaction.

No one took the bait.

This was the result of Lu Ke's observation, and to be precise, it wasn't a complete surprise.

The Chicago Bears' defensive strength lies more in their secondary. Their defensive strategy is also more fluid and complex. So far, their three downs of defense have been completely different, breaking the 49ers' offensive rhythm with a proactive approach to ss with the offensive players' routes.

But this was also within Lu Ke's expectations.

As he moved laterally, Lu Ke made a quick eye-contact with Marcus, then raised his right hand to make a throwing motion.

Lu Ke didn't throw impulsively or retract his hand hastily. This wasn't just a fake move. His peripheral vision quickly scanned the route in front of Marcus and saw the quick-reacting Julius Peppers, who had already shifted his weight and was rushing toward the route.

In other words, they were also keeping a close eye on Marcus's route. After the snap, Peppers' backward step was more like luring a snake out of its hole. Seeing Marcus adjusting his footing, Peppers imdiately completed his forward charge.

Even if Lu Ke had connected with Marcus, it would have been difficult for Marcus to continue to gain yardage. On a third-and-ten situation, this passing route was clearly not the best option.

The entire observation process was just a quick glance and didn't take much ti. In a flash of lightning, he made a judgnt and a decision. The ga instincts ingrained in his muscles quickly reacted, and he stopped his feet. Without any hesitation, he quickly scrambled laterally in the opposite direction.

The offensive line went left, and Lu Ke went right.

This shift in direction completed the adjustnt of his offensive position. As he moved, Lu Ke pulled his right hand back to his stomach, faking a running motion. His peripheral vision then caught the two linebackers rapidly charging, which again proved the ticulousness of the Bears' defensive strategy.

They actually sent a linebacker to cover Lu Ke, treating him on par with Marcus and Gore.

This...

But this was still within Lu Ke's expectations. He imdiately made so adjustnts to his footing, stopping his run to the right and adjusting his feet in place. He then leaned his body to the left again, quickly raised his right hand, and, before the defensive players could react, used his wrist to quickly flick the football forward.

The Chicago Bears' defensive players were all stunned, not because of Lu Ke's consecutive fake moves, but because of his final passing choice.

According to their plan, the Bears' defense was supposed to drop back, cutting off all the 49ers' passing routes in the short and interdiate areas and using their secondary to deliver a powerful blow. But now, because of Lu Ke's tactical scramble, five defensive linen and three linebackers were trapped in the short-passing area. This left only two cornerbacks and two safeties in the secondary.

Between change and consistency, Lu Ke used his explosive personal ability to create a positional advantage.

But even so, the Bears still had the advantage. Their secondary defense is their strength. Charles Tillman had already firmly held Logan Newman's position, cutting off the most effective receiving option for the 49ers over the past few weeks. The other three receivers were also being tightly covered, with all defensive distances within one yard.

In this situation, Lu Ke actually chose to throw to the left?

In this play, the 49ers' right side had Logan and Ginn, while the left had Crabtree and Moss. Furthermore, Moss was now roaming toward the center, attracting the attention of the entire secondary defense on his own. In one-on-one coverage, Moss's physical talent is not what it used to be, but his deterrent effect is still there.

In other words, only Crabtree was left on the left side.

The Bears' defense was completely unprepared for this. The cornerback covering Crabtree, Tim Jennings, was also slightly surprised.

In fact, when Jennings noticed Lu Ke moving laterally to the other side, his steps had already followed Moss. His subconscious prediction obviously gave more importance to Moss's threat. But fortunately, Jennings stayed absolutely focused. When he noticed Lu Ke's throwing motion, he imdiately took a quick step back and closed in on Crabtree.

With all eyes on him, the football arced high through the air. The speed wasn't fast, and the spin was steady, like a banana kick. It accurately found a spot about ten yards out near the sideline, and then... it quickly dropped.

Crabtree was quickly adjusting his feet, retreating and observing. Jennings' defensive position had clearly changed. Between the subtle back and forth, Crabtree smoothly adjusted his body's center of gravity.

As the football quickly descended, Jennings was already retreating. Crabtree's peripheral vision scanned the arc of the football and he imdiately realized it was a "shoulder-shadow pass," the most reliable and mature route he had with Lu Ke. Crabtree's mind was at ease.

With a small adjustnt of his feet, he appeared exactly where the football was going to land. He extended his hands above his right shoulder and, before the football fell, caught it firmly in his palms.

He caught it!

Crabtree's fingertips could clearly feel the leather of the football. Without a doubt, he had caught it, but this wasn't the end.

Crabtree made a quick turn, scanning the field. The short-passing area was still a ss, and in the backfield, two safeties were scrambling to close the distance. But he still had space to gain more yards, at least fifteen yards, which excited him. Before he could even adjust his footing, he burst forward.

Just then, a lateral hit ca.

Tim Jennings!

Crabtree hadn't forgotten about this human roadblock. He was preparing for a head-on collision, but to his surprise, Jennings didn't intend to tackle. Instead, he suddenly lowered his center of gravity and rushed at Crabtree's arms with both hands.

Crabtree had just caught the football and hadn't had ti to fully secure it. Under Jennings' hit, the oval football started bouncing erratically. With the bumps, it slipped from his grasp. Crabtree tried to save the situation, but his forward montum was already tilted. His feet were forced to take a step forward, and he lost his position relative to the football, watching helplessly as it fell to the ground.

"Amazing! This is truly amazing!"

"Crabtree completed the catch! The 49ers' offensive strategy completely neutralized the Bears' defense. Lu Ke planned a step ahead, using himself and Marcus to create two fake offensive points. And after the opponent reacted, he quickly threw the ball, finding Crabtree with a shoulder-shadow pass!"

"This was a ten-yard pass!"

"Lu Ke's response to the Chicago Bears' intensity deserves applause!"

"Wait, wait, oh God, oh God, Crabtree wasn't able to secure the football! Jennings knocked the football out of Crabtree's hands. The ball is now on the ground, and the referee needs to make a ruling. Is this a completed pass, or is it an incomplete pass?"

"Now the referee needs to watch the replay to make a ruling, but no matter what the result is, two things are certain. First, Lu Ke's offensive strategy is once again impressive. His ability to make tactical adjustnts in key monts has been proven countless tis, but it shines again in this ga."

"Second, Crabtree was too anxious. The slump in the past three gas has made him eager to prove himself. After completing the catch, he hadn't fully secured the football before he tried to get more yards. His mind was ahead of his body, which gave Jennings a chance to disrupt the ball and create this controversy. So, is this a completed catch or not?"

"Wow, in just the first drive, both sides have shown a very high level of skill and ability. The question now is, who will be more dominant? But before that, we need to see this ruling. Will the 49ers be able to continue their scoring montum on their first drive?"

This is certainly a controversial play.
