Lin Fei wasn’t pitying this old man; it was simply that this old man had lived with his family for so long, and since he hadn’t made a move, it ant he probably wasn’t an enemy. So, Lin Fei chose to ignore him.

However, ignoring him didn’t an he wouldn’t cause trouble for you. Moreover, Lin Fei made a mistake, thinking that as long as the other person didn’t make mistakes, he shouldn’t make a move.

Old man Li Jing was considering whether to take revenge on Lin Fei. However, after thinking it over, he realized he didn’t have the opportunity now, and he couldn’t return to the upper realm, lacking strength. So, Li Jing decided to temporarily give up his plans, thinking of Lin Xi. He felt this lovely child shouldn’t be disturbed.

Ultimately, Li Jing didn’t act, waiting for the next opportunity. He also rembered the people from the upper realm, who had already captured his co-conspirators. They would likely interrogate them and eventually learn the secret of the Divine Artifact.

Originally, after they learned about it, they understood that getting the Divine Artifact couldn’t be done by one family alone. So, after extensive cooperation, they decided to join forces to obtain this artifact.

But they underestimated the lower realm, or rather, they hadn’t anticipated Lin Fei’s presence there.

Lin Fei’s strength far exceeded their imagination, even surpassing what the Heaven and Earth Rules allowed. Killing them was as easy as slaughtering chickens and dogs, effortlessly wiping out their entire first wave.

Later, they found a Casting Master and used all their possessions to have him forge a powerful Array Formation Weapon, deciding to make one final effort.

But before the result ca, they unexpectedly encountered those major powers from the wasteland. These major powers were definitely not sothing they could contend with, so ultimately, the major powers would certainly act and head to the lower realm to fight for the Divine Artifact!

This would lead to a grim future, and Li Jing couldn’t help but worry for the lower realm, because apart from Lin Fei, there was hardly anyone who could stand against the upper realm.

Nonetheless, every ti Li Jing thought of that girl, he felt a sense of warmth, like she was his granddaughter. However, he knew things were far from simple; to leave, he would have to wait until the arrays connecting the upper and lower realms were opened.

Therefore, Li Jing temporarily settled down, which led to Lin Fei having nothing to pin against him, not even the slightest hint.

A quiet year went by, during which the world seed silent, at least from Lin Fei’s perspective. Lin Xi grew significantly, at least now able to walk on her own.

In this way, another half year passed. Lin Fei and Li Jing had beco quite amicable; to an outsider, they might seem like family.

Even Lin Xi began calling the old man grandfather. When the little girl called Li Jing grandpa, Lin Fei and the others were present, unexpectedly making Li Jing tearfully leave for three days before returning, leaving everyone speechless.

Afterwards, Li Jing frequently took care of Lin Xi, and she enjoyed being with Li Jing, often clutching his beard without letting go.

"Grandpa! Grandpa!"

Lin Xi ran across the grass while a gentle smile appeared on Li Jing’s face. Then, as Lin Xi approached, he threw her high up, catching her again as she laughed joyfully.

Watching this scene, Lin Fei felt warmth, realizing over ti that Li Jing truly cherished Lin Xi, like family, and would never harm her.

So, Lin Fei was much reassured, but upon seeing Li Jing’s missing arm, he suddenly rembered soone, a person that sprang to his mind.

He stood up and said to Li Jing, "Senior, I’m going out for a bit to find an old acquaintance. When Shanshan and the others return, please let them know."

"Alright, go ahead, I’ll take care of Lin Xi," Li Jing replied.

Lin Fei nodded, turned, and left. He didn’t doubt or watch over Li Jing; he believed Li Jing wouldn’t disappoint him.

As for Lin Fei.

He flew through the air until he ca to the Beidou Sect, placing the Divine Stone in the air for all to see. Then he found Leng Daoqiu, who was painting; clearly, Leng Daoqiu enjoyed literature and painting.

When Lin Fei arrived, he saw Leng Daoqiu drawing a landscape of Man Mountain. He didn’t disturb him, watching as the ink fell on paper, magically spreading, then Leng Daoqiu sketched out various tangled lines. Yet the final outco before Lin Fei was a realistic depiction of Man Mountain.

"What brings you here, junior?" Leng Daoqiu put down his brush and asked.

Lin Fei smiled, "Senior brother, your painting is truly wonderful. Why not give it to ?"

"If you like it, you can take it," Leng Daoqiu said, channeling a surge of Primordial Energy into the painting, making it appear even more dreamy and filled with Spiritual Energy.

Lin Fei put away the painting and said, "Senior brother, I’m here hoping you can help investigate soone."

"Who is it?"

"Crane Mountain!"

Leng Daoqiu paused slightly upon hearing the na, then chuckled, "Why are you looking for him?"

Lin Fei explained, "He’s a rare genius, previously quite formidable but took a wrong path. Still, he corrected himself eventually. Now, in the lower realm’s dire tis, I wish to find him and join forces against those from the upper realm."

"Are you sure? Don’t forget Crane Mountain has erred twice," Leng Daoqiu found it hard to imagine soone who made two mistakes could truly nd their ways.

"Don’t worry, senior brother. I believe the words Crane Mountain said last ti. His seclusion is to seek a breakthrough. Even century-old efforts outweigh Three Immortals, showing he’s powerful, talented, and shouldn’t be lost," Lin Fei said.

Leng Daoqiu nodded, "I understand. Given that, let tell you so good news."

"What good news?" Lin Fei was surprised. Could there already be clues about Crane Mountain, or was he on the mountain?

Leng Daoqiu smiled, seeing Lin Fei’s mind wander, "Crane Mountain’s whereabouts have always been recorded by the Beidou Sect, so we know where he is."

"Tell , senior brother."

"Are you certain you want Crane Mountain’s help? People’s characters are uncertain; if he gains greater power, what if you can’t manage him?" Leng Daoqiu was still worried, given Crane Mountain’s past two acts of wrongdoing as warnings.
