His tone was calm, his voice deep and clear, without a hint of ambiguity, just like a man who works diligently and is considerate to friends.
Jian Anning was montarily stunned, not expecting him to discuss only work matters. After thinking, she said, "Ms. Nie hasn’t arrived yet; it should be after 9 o’clock."
"Alright then." Situ Xuan nodded on the other end, paused, and then suddenly smiled, "Actually, you don’t need to... I’ve already let go; so things can’t be forced, I understand."
His tone was slightly bitter, sowhat lonely, yet still seed very calm.
His words left Jian Anning unsure of how to respond. She was a bit dazed. Even though he was pursuing her at the ti, when things ended, she hadn’t given him a definite answer. Speaking of which, it wasn’t exactly that she was "heartless."
However, back then, her relationship with Yu Zexiao was unclear, and she did consider developing sothing with Situ Xuan. Although she didn’t imdiately agree to be his girlfriend, she had given him a vague promise. Later, she got together with Yu Zexiao without notifying him.
