“Dad, Grandpa, Grandma, rest assured, I’ll take good care of Anning.”
His voice wasn’t loud, yet it was full of conviction. As he said these words, he clearly felt Jian Anning’s hand tighten within his grasp.
Even though she didn’t speak, he could feel that the strings within her heart were gently plucked by his words.
The tombstone said nothing, but as he spoke, the sea breeze blew in, and the distant pine forest rustled, seemingly responding to his words.
But this feeling didn’t feel eerie; rather, this warm and comforting sea breeze enveloped him gently, like warm water in a bathtub. It seed to convey a kind thought to him.

After leaving the cetery, Jian Anning remained in low spirits for a while.
Even though it’s been a long ti since her father and grandparents passed away, Jian Anning still felt a sense of inexplicable sadness.
Yu Zexiao felt it too. Not wanting her to continue feeling distressed, he thought for a mont and said to Jian Anning, “I haven’t really explored Vancouver yet, would you take for a tour?”
He didn’t know how to alleviate the pain in her heart. After thinking, he decided to head to lively and crowded places.
Jian Anning knew all too well that Yu Zexiao hated shopping the most. When he said he wanted to go for a stroll, it was certainly for her benefit.
She felt a bit touched, yet the predominant feeling was still a gloomy emotion. She turned the steering wheel towards the area near Canada Place.
Vancouver isn’t like Huaxia Country. In Huaxia, when Yu Zexiao wanted to go shopping, he’d nearly be in full protective gear, wearing a hat, sunglasses, and a mask, even changing his clothes. Yet, even with all this, he could accidentally be recognized.
But in Vancouver, although there are many Chinese here, it’s still abroad. After parking the car by the roadside, Jian Anning bought a mask for him and continued driving.
Jian Anning’s destination was Stanley Park. This place is almost as famous as Central Park in New York, renowned near and far as an urban center filled with prival forest. The entire forest is dominated by tall cedars, separating the bustling world outside from the peaceful interior.
In this small park, there’s a beach, lakes, campsites for picnics and camping, and the world-famous Vancouver Aquarium that’s known for housing killer whales. There’s a large rose garden near the park entrance on Georgia Street. If you’re here in sumr, the various breeds and colors of roses bloom profusely, creating an undeniably beautiful scene. On the other side of the park is the famous Lions Gate Bridge. Inside the park, there are so totems of the local natives. Even if you don’t drive, walking along the road surrounding the island is quite enjoyable.
After exiting the car, Jian Anning and Yu Zexiao strolled hand in hand slowly along the island’s road. The midday sun filtered through the tall cedar forest, casting dappled spots of light, reminiscent of a fairy tale.
Walking along the main road, occasionally people cycling around the island passed by, as well as the whirlwind kids on skateboards.
