Capítulo 1426: Chapter 1438: Shocking Change (Part 1)

The first day of filming ended calmly, without any ripples or waves.

During the outdoor shoot, as the sun began to set, the sky turned cloudy and a light rain started to fall.

The rain added a certain ambiance, and despite the drizzle, everyone quickly completed the shoot.

However, by the ti they wrapped up, the rain had intensified, likely delaying progress.

That’s how the southwest region is — it rains incessantly throughout the year.

A light rain is manageable, but heavy rain leaves them helpless. The director decided to shoot indoor scenes first.

It ant that tomorrow’s shoot would include a “seductive” scene.

After talking it over with Jian Anning, Cheng Tingting decided to take her chances, figuring there was no way Jian Anning could marry Yu Zexiao, so she boldly tried to get close to Yu Zexiao.

After this incident, she “fully understood.” Yu Zexiao was no different from those n in the entertainnt circle—just as flirtatious, engaging with other won despite having a fiancée. Perhaps due to his low-profile nature, these actions hadn’t been exposed.

Nevertheless, wasn’t this a good thing for her?

All she wanted was to be happy with Yu Zexiao, and maybe, if things went well, replace his fiancée and stay with him.

But first, she had to steal Yu Zexiao’s attention away from Jian Anning!

So, that evening, when the group gathered for dinner, Cheng Tingting excitedly circled around, saying: “Zero, do you want to try this? Zero, this soup has a good flavor.”

Yu Zexiao twitched his lips but remained silent. Mo Siyu interrupted, “Oh dear, Miss Cheng, you’re moving around so much, I can’t even see my food!”

Mo Siyu’s remark got the whole table laughing, with Cheng Wanli also saying, “Tingting, sit down for dinner.”

Cheng Tingting blushed and sat down, glancing over at Jian Anning. She remained as calm as ever, seemingly with little interaction with Yu Zexiao.

This convinced her even more that her sister and Yu Zexiao were rely in a fleeting relationship.

If they were truly a couple, even if they tried to restrain themselves, they wouldn’t be so cold, would they?

Only those secretly involved would fear being discovered, acting like strangers in public.

With this realization, Cheng Tingting felt reassured, facing Jian Anning with increased confidence. She gently responded to Cheng Wanli, “Brother, I know.”

There was a mont of silence.

After dinner, the director decided to make use of the evening ti for an indoor scene that could be shot under lights. He instructed the props team to prepare. While waiting, Yu Zexiao sat aside, reading the script, avoiding interaction with others. After a while, he turned to Jian Anning and asked, “Anning, I want so coffee.”

He didn’t dare openly grab her, instead subtly reaching out under his sleeve to tug on her clothes, with his deep, gleaming eyes looking up at her.

Whenever Yu Zexiao traveled, he made a big fuss, ensuring all his equipnt was with him. Seeing his manner, Jian Anning thought he resembled a puppy pleading for its owner to stroke it.
