But Jian Anning simply shoved the bowl into his hands and turned to leave: “Eat it if you want. You stroll around; I’m heading back first.”
“Hey, hey, hey, wait a minute!” Yu Zexiao quickly called out to her. Jian Anning wasn’t really planning to leave; hearing this, she stopped, turned, and looked at him. Yu Zexiao was pinching his nose with one hand and holding the bowl with the other, yet because both hands were occupied, he couldn’t use a disposable bamboo skewer to bring it to his mouth.
“You, you hold the bowl for .”
“Alright.” At this, Jian Anning found it amusing, turned back to help him hold the bowl. Yu Zexiao trembled as he held the bamboo skewer, picking and choosing, finding the smallest piece, trembling as he skewered it, like he was making a big decision, pinching his nose, and quickly shoved it into his mouth!
He initially intended to swallow it whole, but given the size of the stinky tofu, he had to chew it at least once or twice before he could swallow.
