"The weather seems to be getting worse." Lady Elise comnted looking out of the window.

I followed her gaze and noticed the gray clouds starting to cover over the blue skies while her son Eric was swinging his sword in the training ground overlooked by the room we were sitting in.

"Hm... I prefer cloudy or rainy days though." I mumbled and she smiled at as I relaxed in my seat.

Lady Elise had sent a letter the other day asking to visit her if I had ti, I figured she would want to talk about the incident about Douglas so, I ended up coming to the Marquis’s mansion in the afternoon.

It had been three days since the chaos that I had started and now the trial was arranged since more than thirty families including my four dark horses.

The news about the Minister of Education being a corrupt official and also being a slave trader and an owner of casino that ruined the minds of the kids ca to the light.

It had also caused quite an uproar in the King’s court as the people from Prince Eric’s faction were doing their best to drag Prince Carlos’s faction down by using Douglas.

I knew it must be one hell of a fun to see as the Queen would be walking on eggshells since that man held her weakness in his hands, or so she thought.

Only after two days of Douglas being convicted of being a corrupt official, a criminal and a fraud. Queen stepped up on the court and announced the Clark family to be the rotten branch of Esrtia and that Douglas would have his tongue and arms cut off for his cris while his family would be exiled.

Well, what she really wanted was to make sure that Douglas wouldn’t open his mouth or even write his testimony down. She didn’t want to hear what exactly happened from her cousin she just wanted to save her own skin and make sure that her son wouldn’t lose his place.

Besides, her fear wasn’t going to stop the trial from happening.

I was reading the newspaper while Lady Elise was brewing so tea.

"Here, I’ve also baked you so cookies." She said as she placed the tray on the table.

"Thank you," I smiled before I looked back at the newspaper in my hands.

I almost snorted as I read the article which had the title of the Queen being a Goddess of Justice.

Bullshit.

Just because she chopped off the arms and tongue of her cousin it wasn’t going to end because the trial was going to take place regardless where every piece of evidence and everything else was going to bring the whole Esrtia family down.

I picked up another newspaper that was on the table and started reading it and instantly smiled.

"You seem to be in a good mood today." She comnted and I nodded folding the newspaper before placing it away.

"Yes, the trial will go smoothly and today those kids who faced the humiliation and suffering from Eden were welcod back with all respect." I explained making her smile.

"I never expected soone who was as powerful as Marquis Douglas Clark to be destroyed so easily." She said as she sipped her tea and then chuckled.

"But, I’m not quite surprised as being alive is also a proof that you are capable of turning impossible into possible."

I smiled as I picked up her hand baked cookies and munched on them.

"Hm... They’re really good."

I munched a few more before I sipped the tea and felt quite refreshed.

"I should co by more often, your tea and cookies are really tasty." I said making her chuckle.

"Please do, Master Ocean. I’d love to bake for you."

She was really happy to be in this place but it was an unspoken feeling that she kept to herself, the wait for her ti to exact her revenge. With my steady steps towards future it seed like her resolve was also taking a shape.

"Eric keeps practicing hard everyday without any break," she started.

"I see him studying and then practice magic or training with sword fighting."

"It’s his duty to beco invincible while I prepare his path to the throne, Lady Elise. A man has to do what he has to do."

"You’re not a man though," she said and I chuckled.

"And a woman had to do more than she is required to do." I added making her smile.

She knew I was Reina but she hadn’t told about it to Eric since I had told her to keep it a secret. Maybe it was the fact that I was a girl younger than her son that’s why she was usually more affectionate towards .

"I hope Prince Eric is not feeling overwheld by all of it."

"He’s never complained about it." She said and I humd.

"His trainer told that his progress was quite good and even Uncle Silas told that his magic capability had grown." I told making her smile as she heard praising her son.

"... What are you going to do now?" She asked.

I placed the teacup down and relaxed in my chair.

"Douglas... was a great blow to the Queen. She must be going crazy after I took him out."

"He was an ally to her after all." Elise mused and I shook my head.

"Not because of that, Lady Elise." I said and she tilted her head to one side.

"Pardon?"

"The Queen and Douglas share a secret that could destroy their foundations that’s why Douglas wasn’t exactly her Ally but her blackmailer."

Elise put her teacup down and leaned ahead seeming curious about this new information .

"What do you an?"

"The Queen and Douglas were responsible for the deaths of the previous King and Prince Soros." I said and her eyes grew wide before her face went pale.

"She... She really is so..."

"She had turned Douglas’s mansions upside down looking for the evidence that he was hiding about their cris."

Elise’s head whipped up to , "Then, did she find them?"

I smiled, "How can she find sothing that is currently in my possession?"

Elise’s hand covered her mouth as she gasped and I smiled.

"That was the reason why I ended up sending my brother to his place." I said and she pursed her lips.

"I heard he was injured quite badly."

"He’s fine now and probably enjoying his ti with his friends at his school." I said and she sighed.

"But what of that evidence?" She asked and I smirked.

"It will be used to play with the Queen or it will co in handy when it’s ti for Prince Eric to step up his ga."

Elise looked down at her hands and then sighed.

"I hope she gets punished soon too."

I smiled and shook my head, "I beg to differ," I said making her frown.

"I have to play with her more, she needs to know what it ans to suffer by receiving continuous blows from different places. I will cut her allies first, drag her through all sorts of hell and then put her on the pedestal before I put her on the execution platform."

Elise stared at while I looked out of the window as the lightning flashed across the clouds and the rain started pouring.

Eric was still practicing despite the rain and I sighed.

"He’s a bit too much dedicated to this," I mumbled and she followed my gaze looking at her son.

"He never listens." She sighed.

I stood up making her look up at , "I’ll talk so sense into him."

"Please do," she smiled and I opened the windows and stepped on the window sill before leaping off.

I landed a few feet away from Eric and he turned sharply pointing his sword at .

"It’s raining, Your Highness. Please return indoors." I said.

Eric relaxed his stance a little and replied, "I still have to train, Baron Ocean."

"It would be worthless if you end up falling sick, Your Highness."

"I still can’t stop, Baron Ocean. I heard about the mission you assigned to the sons of other nobles and brought Marquis Douglas’s cris to light. I feel inadequate if you wouldn’t use like that."

I chuckled, "I sent them on the mission because it was their problem, Your Highness. And they were willing to take the risk."

"Becoming a King is my problem, Baron Ocean. I am willing to take the risk as well but, since I can’t do anything yet, ans I’m still very weak. I need to train." He started swinging his sword.

The thunder crackled above our heads and the wind started whooshing with the rain slapping around even more fervently.

"What will it take for you to stop it for now and go indoors, Your Highness?" I asked and he looked at .

"Give a mission as well." He said and I sighed.

"Apart from that."

He almost turned but then he paused, he seed to be pondering over sothing before he faced with his sword pointed at .

"Then, have a spar with . If you defeat , I will go inside."

I ran my hand through my drenched hair and almost shook my head as this was becoming like a trend these days, all of the kids whom I had taken in were eager to fight .

"Fine."
