The conversation ended and I smiled as the brooch went silent, I had forbidden him from reporting anything until he returned ho.

The Queen seed unsettled till the end of the conversation and I was satisfied having my desired outco.

"Reina, this-" Rune gasped and I looked at him.

"I knew sothing like this would happen." I said making his eyes go wide.

"Still, it seems like the news shocked her so much that she forgot about Eric and her son’s spat." I mumbled.

"B-But he really told her everything."

"I instructed him to do it like that." I said and Rune looked slightly confused.

"Currently, I’m only doing one bad thing and that’s breaking up a married couple."

Rune’s jaw dropped and I added, "The Queen already has trust issues and if she gets to know that the King is doing sothing behind her back then it’s only matter of ti before she starts suspecting a foul play and what do you think will happen then?"

Rune looked at as I smirked before I stood up.

"We should go welco Father for successfully completing his mission, brother."

Dad returned from the palace and reported to about the talk he had with the King and Queen.

The King didn’t have any special ssage for just the fact that he didn’t want to end up like Douglas. Guess, he didn’t know that I took over Herot city.

He handed the envelopes one of which was ant for Ocean and other for Silas.

"You did great work, Father." I smiled making him sigh deeply.

"I was worried that I might ss up in nervousness. I’m glad it worked out."

He slumped over his seat making smile as I leaned in and gently pressed my lips over his cheek.

"Please keep working like this in future as well, Father." I said.

He stared at before his face turned red and I could see smoke rising from his head making chuckle.

How cute!

Since Dad didn’t have any other work we left for Aurelius. After the long journey we finally reached back, Eric and Rune were sent to Eldarf and I prepared to go to Mage’s Tower.

"Is that an Imperial Order, Master?" Enora asked as I sat in my study looking at the letter with the Imperial seal.

"Yes,"

She placed down the tray of tea and refreshnts looking at it curiously.

"I didn’t expect you to get an Imperial Order, did you do sothing in capital?" Roan asked.

He had his own desk in my study now with the portion of my paper work for him to complete.

"Is it sothing bad?" Enora asked and I looked at her with a smile.

"No, it’s just what I wanted. And no, I didn’t do anything that would co to attention."

I heard Roan snort and chuckle as he shook his head while Enora smiled.

"Then, I guess I should ask the Chef to prepare sothing nice for lunch."

"Hm? All right, just skip the sweets. The girls fed a lot of sweets back in Laiden, I don’t want to see it for a while." I said as I turned my attention back on the letter.

"Are you bragging?" Roan asked.

"It’s natural for girls to be falling for you, Master. I’ll be surprised if there’s anyone who wouldn’t be enticed by your charm." Enora comnted completely ignoring Roan.

I chuckled at her words, "I’d rather they keep their affection within limits and have so rcy on my tastebuds,"

Enora chuckled before she picked up the tray which she has just served.

"Eh? Isn’t that for ?" I asked.

"Didn’t you say you don’t want sweets? I’ll bring you so other snacks."

"Ah, give the tea though, my head is killing ."

"Oh, my! Shall I massage it?"

"Eh? No, your tea is fine."

"All right,"

Enora brewed so tea and poured it for and Roan before she left with the tray of snacks.

"Master?" I humd as Roan called.

"Will you be kind enough give so pointers?"

"Pointers? For what?"

"To pick girls the way you do."

The King had let his guard down as of now so, we could start our work. I had to go see Silas this afternoon after lunch, he didn’t sound so good the last ti I heard from him.

"Hm... Pick girls, huh..."

It almost clicked a mont later as of what he’d just asked and I couldn’t help but chuckle.

"Don’t laugh and tell !" He whined making shake my head and look at him.

"I don’t usually go around with the aim of charming girls, Roan, but I guess I understand what a woman wants that’s why they get chard."

"And what does a woman want?" He asked making smirk.

"A man who is perfect."

Roan gave a deadpan look making laugh.

"Just say you don’t want to tell ."

"I’m not lying, Roan. A woman’s heart is complicated, consider it like a lock, each lock has different key. A man has to have those qualities that act like the key to unlock her heart."

"And you’re the kind of key that unlocks every heart." He stated complacently.

I laughed shaking my head and looked at him as he turned his head and continued working as he picked up his teacup.

"Well, if it makes you feel any better then in Laiden I wasn’t in a man’s form. I was in the form of a girl child."

Roan splurted out the tea he was drinking and coughed as I said that and stared at with the tea dripping down the corner of his mouth.

"You-"

I laughed at his reaction feeling rather refreshed.

"You’re really amusing, Roan. I’m glad I brought you along." I said and the door opened with Enora entering with so snacks.

"I brought you so salty snacks." She said and then looked at Roan.

"You can have so too," she said to Roan but then she noticed the tea stained papers.

"Oh, my! What happened, Roan?" She asked and he wiped his mouth.

"Let him be," I said waving my hand.

After lunch, I teleported to the entrance of the Mage’s Tower and adjusted the purple badge which signifies the level of scholar, I was just two levels down from Silas, the Archmage now. I earned this badge after returning from Mordino, needless to say, he and Darren were shocked to see the progress that usually takes years to happen within a few months.

The huge mana stone that was inserted right at the entrance of the huge black tower glowed and shot a beam of green light just like a scanner and I felt it scan .

It clicked as soon as it scanned over the badge and the huge gate slid up and a voice almost like AI from my past life called out.

"Welco back, Scholar."

It was an androgynous voice which welcod back warmly and I walked in.

The blue carpet and the mana stone lit corridor was a contrast against the black stony walls and I saw a lot of robed Mages waddle around the large circular lobby-like area going towards the different doors.

Watching their faces reminded of the overti office workers with their eyes resembling racoons and faces ashy. The scent of coffee and ink was wafting in the air adding up to the morbid atmosphere.

None of them looked as if they were actual humans, but rather robots who were moving about as per their programd instructions.

"Ah, you’re here!" I turned and spotted a Mage whom I had seen often except for Darren.

The girl in her early twenties with her wavy brown hair often tied in twin braids that rest on the sides of her shoulders, green eyes that usually twinkle with curiosity behind the thick rimd glasses and cute freckles that were scattered over her cheeks and nose. An aesthetic nerdy beauty.

"Ruya, good noon." I greeted her and she grinned as she stopped in front of .

"Good noon, Sir Ocean."

"I’m not a knight, Ruya. You can call Mister or Big Brother if you’re comfortable." I said.

As usual I had my face covered so she couldn’t know how old I was.

"All right, I’ll stick with Mister." She chuckled.

"Ah, you’re here to see Archmage, right? Co, I’ll take you to him." She said before she gestured to follow her

We walked up the elevator like device that would take to the top floor where Silas’s office was. It was a small round platform which would go up and down the whole vertical expanse of the Tower with the help of the magic stones.

"Ruya, how is he?" I asked Ruya and she humd.

"Archmage seems like he’s occupied by sothing, he doesn’t even eat his als properly and has been going at it without sleep." She explained.

"I’m worried he might end up falling sick by the amount of overwork he’s been doing."

I felt slightly guilty for dropping so much work on Silas and wondered if I should co around the Tower as a part-tir to help him out or... I did have so people who could work wonders but, Silas might not accept them.

The platform halted when we reached the highest floor and I looked around to see Silas’s office with its circular walls covered with bookshelves all the way from the floor to the ceiling and a few artifacts and devices that were on the tables.

"Archmage? Mister Ocean is here to see you." Ruya said as she stepped off the platform and walked ahead.

One side of the room was dominated by a huge mahogany desk and the chair which was currently empty and apart from that there as a large sofa with a table and two armchairs.

I stepped down from the platform looking around and almost jumped when I heard Ruya shout.
