Drac was out of danger but I still didn’t want him to push himself so, I told him to rest while I turned to face the next imdiate matter of concern.

I cracked my knuckles and looked at the Dark Elves who were standing in front of . I didn’t even want to look behind at the three who were still shell-shocked after seeing my original form.

"I’m grateful to you for helping my subordinate," I said before I created water slicers all over around .

"That’s why, I’ll grant you quick and painless deaths."

Their eyes widened and they gasped before they looked at each other.

"Pa-Pardon, Great Dragon?" The elf who brought us here said.

"It’s a sha to kill you all since you seem to have great potential." I spoke.

"Wait, are you really going to kill us all, Great Dragon?!"

"If I let you live, I’ll be putting my own people’s lives in danger and I’d rather kill myself than let that happen."

The Dark Elves looked disoriented as they panicked and looked at their leader who pursed his lips before he stepped ahead and fell on his knees in front of .

"If you have to kill soone," he said looking down, "please kill instead, let them all go..."

"What?!"

"Anore, no way!"

"You can’t do this, Anore!"

"Be quiet!" The Dark Elf who had stepped ahead to beco a martyr snapped back at his companions before he faced .

"Please... Great Dragon... let them all live... I-I give you my word. None of my companions would... bring any harm to your people."

I stared at the back of his head and his exposed nape while the people around him looked at each other before they fell to their knees as well.

"I-If Anore has to die then, we might as well die too."

"Yes, without our Leader there’s no point in all of us living."

"He’s the one who protected us all and gave us a place. There’s no point in having this life if our saviour has to die for us."

One by one everyone voices their thoughts of supporting their leader.

"Are you all mad?! I-If I die then you all will be free from the bondage as well!" Their leader shouted.

"We don’t want that!"

"We don’t want this freedom at the cost of your life!"

"We’d rather die than live a life like that!"

"Either ways we’ll be forced to do sothing like that again."

"You will save us now but what about future? We’re dood to live like slaves, Anore!"

"We might as well die and be free right now."

"You all..." Anore gasped as he looked at his companions.

"It’s a blessing to die at the hands of a Dragon anyways!"

"Death at the hands of a Supre Dragon would be a glorious death!"

"Please... Kill us all, Supre Dragon!"

I stared at the Dark Elves as they kneeled in front of wailing and begging for death. I wouldn’t have believed sothing like this if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes but these Elves who were said to be the Harbingers of death were begging to kill them.

These ruthless killers who have claid the lives of countless people on the battlefield and had their nas uttered with terror were wailing in front of .

The water slicers around moved in a circular motion above all of them like a huge halo and they stared at it with wide horrified eyes. They reached out holding the hands of the person closest to them accepting their fates before they squeezed their eyes shut.

I could see the resignation in their postures before I spoke up, "I can give you a chance to live."

Anore looked up at along with the other Elves.

"What...?"

"Withdraw from the war and go your way, if you can’t do that, then you will die right now."

Their eyes went wide before they gasped looking at , "Hah..."

"You will..."

"Great Dragon..."

"We can live..."

The elves looked at each other seeming a bit hopeful but Anore didn’t seem as hopeful, he looked like he couldn’t hang on to that hope.

"What’s wrong? Can’t do that?" I asked Anore.

"I-I can’t make that decision, Great Dragon..." He said.

"But Anore!"

"You all know I can’t!" He looked as if he would cry with the way his eyes were starting to glisten.

"Great Dragon... I cannot... Please kill ... And let all these go."

"Then we all die together," his companions announced.

Back to the sa thing again.

I could see the anguish in Anore’s eyes as he looked at his companions helplessly. Dark Elves were hated by all the other species because of their affinity to darkness and death.

Which was why they were more prone to be outcasted from any place that they go to. Their situation was like Jews who couldn’t find an abode anywhere, but instead of being killed they were simply treated so horribly that no other creatures could withstand that kind of behaviour.

But, there were still so people who could take advantage of their skills and get their dirty work done.

"Is it that thing that’s holding you back?" I asked pointing at the red mana shackles that were latched on to Anore’s right ankle.

His eyes widened along with the other Elves’ as they looked at him.

He had signed a mana contract, that’s why he was bound to do whatever he had promised to do.

Anore clenched his fists as he looked down at the ground.

"Did you sign a magic contract with soone?" I asked.

"Yes..." He replied grimly.

"What is it about?" Anore pursed his lips.

"I... I can’t tell."

"Can you tell the na of the one who made you sign it?" I asked.

He shook his head and I sighed, "Anything at all?"

Anore pursed his lips and I got my answer. I looked at all the other elves who avoided my gaze.

"Does anyone else of you knows who it is?" I asked.

Anore looked at them and they looked down without uttering a single word.

"If you won’t tell you all will have to die."

They exchanged looks again making sigh.

"We-We might just go through the sa thing again, Great Dragon." One of the elves said.

"We are re tools for others to use for killing others..."

"We... don’t enjoy killing others, we have to kill them because if we don’t then..." The elves looked at Anore with lancholic gazes.

"We were the reason why Anore signed that contract... So... There’s no point in living on the foundation of his sacrifice..."

I looked at Anore who was staring at the ground, he seed defeated with the way his shoulders were slumped and head hung.

"Please just... kill , Great Dragon." He spoke.

"I can get rid of that person and also this mana shackles that are binding you." I offered making him look at with lifeless eyes.

"We... don’t an to trouble you, Great Dragon... We’ve already agitated you enough so, it will be enough to die at your hands." He said.

I sighed, "Fine then."

"Wait!" I turned my head looking at Drac who had shouted.

"I-I’m sorry for intercepting you, Master but... May I talk to them?" He asked.

"Go ahead,"

"Thank you, Master."

Drac looked at the Elves who turned to look at him, "Accept it."

"Master is a benevolent person, you aren’t the only ones he has offered to help. He has a lot of people who owe him their lives and currently, they are all living a good life because of Master." He said.

"There are all humans who had chosen to leave behind their wrong ways and change for good when Master reached out to them." He said, "There are even Elves and Dwarves who were saved by Master."

The Dark Elves gasped and Drac continued.

"Those all are living at a place which Master assigned them... They all see him as their Guardian and even Master loves them as much as a parent would love their child."

"He protects everyone who put their lives in his hands... And the proof is right here... I-I tried to kill his people in past... I-I was just like you all... bound by duty to soone who made kill others. But... Master defeated that tyrant and accepted despite being an enemy at one point..." Drac explained.

"I-If I who fought with Master and was... almost ready to kill him could... find a place under his wing then... you all could too."

The elves stared at Drac before they looked at Anore and then at each other.

"Don’t let this chance go to waste," Drac said, "God Himself is giving you a chance to redemption, don’t refuse it."

The Elves seed conflicted as they looked in between Drac, and Anore. Anore was still slumped in his spot looking down at the ground.

"I-I’ll tell!" A girl shouted from the team.

"Cynthia!" Anore gasped looking at the girl.

"I can’t let you sacrifice yourself for us again, Anore." She said as she looked at him with teary eyes.

"Wait!" He shouted but she didn’t listen.

She turned her head and looked at with the determination suddenly making her eyes hard, "It’s Ma-"

Anore clutched his throat before he wheezed and coughed spitting out blood making the elves around him gather around him. Cynthia’s eyes widened as she saw Anore coughing and wheezing on the ground.

"There must be a clause that says that nor he, neither the other Elves could leak his identity." I mumbled.

Drac looked at with pleading eyes as if begging to save them and I sighed activating my healing spell on Anore.

The nature of the mana might be contrasting but my spell was able to work, Anore’s coughing stopped and he breathed loudly as he sat being held by the other Elves.

"I-I can’t say..." Cynthia gasped as she stared at Anore.

"Guess we have to choose another way," I muttered and looked at Cynthia.

"Cynthia," I spoke making the girl turn to look at , "If you can’t speak then we will just have to use a loophole that couldn’t be ntioned in a contract."
