"What..." Lady Dahlia gasped.

Before I unwrapped my arms from her relaxed shoulders and stepped back seeing her beautiful form in front of .

She brought her hand up and touched her eyepatch before slowly removing it and I picked up the mirror from my belongings and handing it to her.

She touched her eye staring into the mirror and then looked at her right arm that now found its place back to her body.

"H-How... How can you..."

"I’m a Supre Aqua Dragon’s scion, My Lady. I have been blessed with the Supre Healing abilities. As long as one clings to life, I can save them." I smiled making her gape at with both her srizing eyes.

"And, I can’t let His Grace Davian see his mother in a state which would break his heart so, this was my duty."

She kept staring at for a long mont before she asked.

"Why... would you go to such lengths for my son and us?"

I smiled, "Because I can do it."

She chuckled before she pressed her both hands over her face as her elbows rested over her thighs and I sat down on my knee in front of her.

"You have suffered for months here without being able to see your son and help your husband but now, I’m here so, please trust . I promise you that I will reunite your family."

She looked at and I smiled, "Please smile, My Lady. Your son will be here within three days."

"Wha-"

"You didn’t expect him to sit there after knowing what predicant you are in."

"So, he’s leading the Sestian army?"

I nodded making her release a shaky breath and she asked.

"You will bring my husband safely, right?"

"I’ve promised you, My Lady. A Dragon never goes back on his word."

Lady Dahlia talked to for a while before she left the room. I could already see what kind of reactions she would be getting from the RA when they would see her missing arm and eye regenerated.

It was a big move but I couldn’t stand there watching her like that, she seed like an amazing person when I saw her portrait in Frosthail so, it was rather painful for to see her in that state.

[Defender of Divine Glory applaudes your magnanimity.]

[Goddess of Wisdom feels proud to be the one who chose you.]

"Don’t go around taking credit for my hard work." I thought.

"Anyways, Davian will be here soon so, till the ti the Sestian army arrives everything must be in place here or it will cause disturbance." I mumbled.

"Besides, you guys haven’t assigned any tasks as of late. Don’t you guys have any rewards left for or sothing?" I asked.

[Defender of Divine Glory clarifies that none of the previous candidates chose the path you have.]

"Huh? Nobody ca here to Mordino?"

[Goddess of Wisdom says that she had assigned the task of liberating Mordino to a few past candidates but they failed or didn’t accept the task.]

"What kind of people did you select before ?" I wondered.

[Defender of Divine Glory lants the previous candidates who failed in their pursuit but is also grateful to Almighty that it gave way for you to co into picture.]

"Hey, I’ve been thinking about this for a while now but, don’t you guys practically know everything that happens in the past, present and future?" I asked.

"Like, everything is predecided, right? And humans and everything else works accordingly for the cause that has been already decided so, why am I here like this?"

I had been a believer of God in past life so, I had learned various things about theology on my own and also trusted in the workings of the universe but what was going on here made slightly wary of my knowledge.

[Goddess of Wisdom assures you that what you learned was correct.]

"Then, what’s going on here?"

[Defender of Divine Glory says that it’s sothing related to the secrets of Wyrd so, you shouldn’t know of it.]

Wyrd was the concept of the past culture and mythology when the people believed that their destinies and lives were written by a goddess nad Wyrd also known as Fate.

"So, you an that I can’t know of it even if I asked?"

[Goddess of Wisdom affirms.]

"What a load of..." I sighed as I lay back down on my bed focusing on my breathing and my mana flow.

[Defender of Divine Glory asks you to focus more on your Mana Heart that will make it easy for you to harness the Dragon’s stronger spells easily.]

I humd lightly as I closed my eyes and did as he said.

I hated when I had no answers for my questions, I wasn’t a curious person but when it ca to finding answers for my questions I would rather have the answer even if it ant that it could put my life in danger.

[Goddess of Wisdom clarifies of this trait being that of a curious person.]

"Whatever."

This question about Wyrd would keep nagging at till the ti I get an answer but for now I guess I could try to distract myself. The answer would eventually co to , just as all the answers that I had been in search for.

The next day, I was in a disguise again of the blonde teenaged boy with dark skin. It was ti for the infiltration in the Beast’s den or Scorpion’s lair.

I was riding in the carriage sitting beside the Captain of the first unit of Revolutionary Army Ruba. Just like even she was in disguise, her scar was hidden by the pignt dye and she was wearing leather gloves with fake fingers.

"What did you do to the Commander?" She asked.

"Healed her."

"You... are capable of generating human body parts?" She asked sounding uncertain.

"As long the person has life, I can revive them." I clarified.

"How are you able to do it? Are you a Deity or Saint?"

I couldn’t help but chuckle, "None of those two. I’m soone who has the gift of Healing, that’s all."

"Are you purposely trying to hide your real strength?"

"I’m not. I did say I can and will beat your Beast for you guys, right?" I reminded her and she wore a blank look before she fell quiet.

"I didn’t expect a day when we would be taking help from an outsider to defeat the Beast." She spoke up and I smiled.

"If you remove the part outsider and just see as a person who shares the sa goal then it will be easier to digest." I replied making her smile.

Her eyes were dark but they had a shade of green which was visible when the light touched her eyes.

"How old are you?"

This again...

"Why? Are you planning on proposing to ?" I asked making her chuckle.

"As if, I like n who are sturdy enough to handle my strength. You look too fragile to be my type." She said and I shrugged my shoulders.

"Well, I prefer won who are smart."

She looked at making look back before she smiled shaking her head.

"You should be careful when you reach inside the palace." Her tone suddenly went serious and I nodded.

"I will."

"What do you know about the Beast anyways?" She asked.

"He’s a bastard who needs a good beating." I answered and she sighed.

"Be serious."

"He was a servant of so minister who was later tried for treason and executed. Later wherever he went he had practically walked over the dead bodies till he finally assassinated the King and shifted the bla on Rezan Kassis and his supporters and family executing them all before taking the throne for himself."

I explained what I had learned briefly and she looked at .

"It wasn’t as easy as you say it," she spoke up.

"Salem Khal’Rozjhiad, he took that surna after he beca the King, the na that ans the King of Golden Desert. You briefed it well but simply saying that he walked over the dead bodies doesn’t do justice to those who were sacrificed for his greedy ambitions." Her fists trembled and I tilted my head slightly.

"I didn’t dean the deaths of the ones whom he used," I clarified.

"I didn’t say you deaned them." She said.

"That Beast," I stated, "will be crushed just the way he crushed a lot of people’s lives."

She stared at for a mont before she looked at her hands, "I... was the daughter of the Minister of Justice and also the appointed judge by the King. He was an impartial person who would go to lengths to investigate the matters before he passed any judgent. But, there were cases of the Ministers whose trials wouldn’t even take a day to finish and were executed right away."

"My father couldn’t take it and tried to investigate on his own since the corruption at that point was so much that he couldn’t trust anyone. He started digging into the matters and got to know the root of it all but... before he could reveal it all, he was frad for being a part of the ones who assassinated the King and was executed."

"My father before he died had told everything and right before he was arrested he had entrusted to his friend and sent off. I thought his innocence will be proved but... he was exce- no, he was killed just two days after his arrest."

I listened quietly as she sat clenching her left fist in her right with her eyes strained and I placed my hand over her shoulder.

"There’s a law that governs the world, Captain Ruba." I said.

"It’s called the law of cause and effect, whatever you do it cos back to you, if you do good then you’ll receive good and if you do bad, worse cos for you." I said and she scoffed.

"I’m waiting for the day to see that worse befalling that bastard."

"It’ll happen soon."

The path to the palace seed to be a bit long so, I couldn’t help but ask.

"Why were you so quiet during the eting though? You didn’t speak until the whole plan was done and even volunteered to co with . What was your motive?" I asked making her look at .

"My father has always taught to observe the situation and learn about all the aspects before passing any judgent."

"A wise advice."

She smiled, "Even if you are an outsider, you were willing to take the risk and also put your trust in us even though we’re just as strangers to you just as you are to us. For a person like you who claid that you can kill the Beast and take what you were here for, I was curious to see what you were capable of but seeing how your subordinates stood up for you, I could see that you are capable of leading people properly."

"Ah! I’m being praised." I smiled making her chuckle.

"Still, after hearing your plan I was sure that we could finally achieve what we’ve been striving for after all these years."

"If I am able to put my trust in their hope then why can’t you as their comrades do the sa?" She repeated the words I had said during the eting.

"I didn’t expect it as well, maybe it’s because I’ve faced with so many defeats at the hands of the Beast that I had started to believe that the independence of Mordino was still far away but now..." She looked at .

"Its a request from , don’t break the hopes of hundreds of people, Master Ocean."

"I won’t."
