Ruan Jiandang knew that he couldn’t communicate with this woman, and upon hearing her, said nothing. He just pulled up the blanket, turned his head, and closed his eyes.
But how could Liao Zhaoji give in? She threw herself on him and beat him like a madwoman.
In the past two days at the Ruan family’s place, she had endured nothing but contempt, even her own sons ignored her. Her husband wouldn’t seek justice for her or make decisions on her behalf, and now he wanted to divorce her? Why should she accept that?

Liao Zhaoji was frightened by his outburst.

Ruan Jiandang looked at her, finding it tireso to say another word.
Pointing at the door: “I don’t need your care here, get out, go back to the Liao family!”
“Dad…” Liao Zhaoji pleaded as she got up from the floor.
“Get out!” Ruan Jiandang roared, his eyes bloodshot.
A few people had gathered at the door, looking in curiously.
Crying pitifully, Liao Zhaoji slowly walked towards the door. Just as she reached it, she heard Ruan Jiandang shouting from behind, “Wait.”
She turned around imdiately, her eyes lighting up.
“If you still care that you’re the mother of several children, then bring back every single penny you took to the Liao family, that’s their tuition fee!”
At those words, Liao Zhaoji burst into louder sobbing and ran off.
Ruan Jiandang closed his eyes wearily in the hospital room.
Liao Zhaoji left the ward and lingered in the corridor for a while, contemplating. She figured the reason Ruan Jiandang wanted a divorce must be the money she had taken back with her.
She wiped her tears, turned, and ran off. She would get the money back, and then Ruan Jiandang wouldn’t go through with the divorce.
