Jiaojiao wanted to eat sugar-coated hawthorn, so she couldn’t hold the lantern. She casually handed it to Ruan Jie beside her. Yu Rou glanced at Jiang Xun but didn’t have the courage to ask her cousin to take it for her. In the end, Jiang Xun proactively reached out and took it.
"Jiaojiao, I really envy you. Your brothers are so nice," Yu Rou mumbled indistinctly as she ate her sugar-coated hawthorn.
Jiaojiao bead and nodded shalessly. "Yep, my brothers are great. I also have seven cousins and two sworn brothers at ho. Each one of them is amazing."
"Wow, you have over ten brothers?" Yu Rou widened her eyes in sheer amazent.
Jiaojiao nodded again. She didn’t have much else, but what she had in abundance was brothers—her most precious treasure, sothing she wouldn’t trade for anything.
"I’m really jealous of you. I only have one cousin, but..." Yu Rou’s voice lowered as she leaned closer to Jiaojiao’s ear. She glanced at Jiang Xun and, seeing that he wasn’t looking in their direction, continued, "Cousin Jiang Xun isn’t close with us. He doesn’t like us."
Jiaojiao followed her gaze toward Jiang Xun, but just as she did, Jiang Xun happened to glance in their direction as well. Their eyes t unexpectedly.
Jiang Xun’s gaze seed to flicker with sothing, as if he wanted to say sothing, but another person suddenly blocked his view, cutting off their line of sight.
"..." Jiaojiao.
Facing Xiu Xi’s displeased stare, she silently withdrew her gaze.
Beside her, Yu Rou continued talking, "Although Cousin Jiang Xun doesn’t like us very much, he’s pretty nice to Zhou Yun. I’ve seen him helping her with her howork more than once."
"Zhou Yun?"

"Sharing is out of the question, but I can let you borrow one for a while," Jiaojiao grinned. "But you’ll need to give a lollipop first."
The two of them instantly recalled the last ti this happened, exchanged glances, and burst out laughing together.
Jiaojiao didn’t let Jiang Xun’s matter linger in her mind. After all, everything had nothing to do with her.
A bit later, the group arrived at a stall selling goldfish. Brightly colored goldfish swam in a basin, glowing beautifully under the lamplight.
Jiaojiao couldn’t move forward upon seeing it—she stopped in front of the vendor’s stall.
The goldfish seller noticed two pretty young girls stopping in front of him, followed by a string of adults. Judging by their attire, they didn’t seem like an ordinary family, so he enthusiastically began to pitch his wares.
"Little girls, do you want to give it a try? Fifty cents for ten hooks—whatever you catch is yours!" The vendor said as he handed out the hooks from his hand.
