When the horoom teacher ca in, holding a notebook under his arm, he nodded with satisfaction at how quiet the class was.
He sat down behind the podium, cleared his throat, and said, "Everyone, let’s pause for a mont, it’s been a week since school started, let’s have a short class eting."
Upon hearing this, everyone, whether pretending to read or pretending to do howork, all looked up.
Except for the class president, who was appointed from the start, all other class officers needed to be selected through voting.
