The people around, upon hearing this, started sighing once more.
No one noticed an old and slow figure slowly walking away… heading toward the gate of the Ruan Family villa.
According to the customs here in the Ruan Family, when soone passes away in the winter, at most three days of rituals are held, and in the sumr, not more than two days.

The rituals had been going on for three days and nights, yet the Ruan Family had not agreed to place the coffin, let alone proceed with the burial.

When the crowd surged toward the Ruan Family, they witnessed such a scene.
Eight young n kneeled quickly before the coffin, each looking grief-stricken.

As they were talking, a series of shrieks erged from inside the house.
The crowd imdiately looked over, seeing a woman burst out of the house. Who knew how she had such strength, breaking free from everyone’s hold, swiftly turning and crawling into the yet-to-be-lowered coffin, clutching the little girl inside, refusing to let go.
“You’re lying, my Jiaojiao is still alive, you’re all deceiving ! My Jiaojiao is perfectly alright, why are you lying to ? I know it, all of you just want to separate us, you can’t stand to see happy!” The woman scread like a madwoman, clinging to the little girl in the coffin, unwilling to release her grasp.
Standing beside were a man and a woman, both looking sowhat similar to the woman, their eyes red and swollen, wanting to pull the woman away but afraid to use force.
They could only plead, heartbroken: “Sis, Jiaojiao has gone, let her leave peacefully, alright?”
“Sis, seeing you like this, how sad would Jiaojiao be? Please, co out, okay? Jiaojiao…” At this point, the younger woman couldn’t continue, covering her mouth as she trembled with sobs.
A handso man ca up from behind, embracing the young woman, eyes also red, comforting her softly.
An intense cry broke out in front of the coffin once more, the woman who had jumped into the coffin crying hysterically, almost fainting, then being carried out by a hulking man.
The hulking man, with tears streaming down his face, rasped: “Xiaojiao, don’t be like this, let Jiaojiao go in peace, you promised her.”

The waves of sobs echoed throughout the Ruan Family; even outsiders who ca to watch couldn’t help but shed tears.
anwhile, a figure hidden in the crowd, especially when Shu Jiao picked up the person from inside the coffin, got a clear look at her face.
Pale, sallow…
Undoubtedly the appearance of death.
She widened her eyes in disbelief, unable to remain hidden as she rushed forward.
