“Sweetheart, co over.”
“Jiaojiao, co here.”
The first was Old Master Shu, and the second was Ruan Hao.
Following the sound, Ruan Jiaojiao saw Old Master Shu sunbathing in the lounge chair at the door, with a radio playing “XX Legend” beside him. His finger was tapping rhythmically to the host’s voice, looking most relaxed.
Not far from him, Ruan Hao was sitting under a big tree, holding a foreign classic in his hand. Sunlight stread through the dense branches above him, illuminating him as if he were glowing.

Ruan Jiaojiao didn’t hesitate for a mont; naturally, she ran straight to Ruan Hao.
She didn’t notice how dirty her little paws were now and climbed up Ruan Hao’s pants leg, sitting obediently on his lap and looking up at him: “ow?” What does big brother have in mind?
“In a bit, I have to go out. Want to co along?” Ruan Hao saw two dirty paw prints stamped on his white pants but didn’t mind at all, smiling indulgently and teasing Ruan Jiaojiao’s lifted little chin.
