"Grandma, Brother Xu’s birthday is tomorrow, and I still haven’t decided what gift to give him," Jiaojiao replied, scratching her head, truly troubled.
"Whatever you give will be fine, he’ll like it," said the Ruanlin Family matriarch.
"It’s different. This ti it’s his eighteenth birthday. It’s special; I can’t just give anything," Jiaojiao pursed her lips.
The Ruanlin Family matriarch, noticing she didn’t understand her aning, shook her head and smiled.
At that mont, a car horn sounded outside. Jiaojiao imdiately stood up and ran to open the gate; Ruan Hao had returned.
Jiaojiao stood to the side, waiting for Ruan Hao to drive the car in, close the gate, and then lock it before running to stand by Ruan Hao’s car.
"What’s up?" Ruan Hao asked gently as he got out of the car and saw Jiaojiao’s expectant little eyes.
Jiaojiao hugged his arm, "Big Brother, take out shopping, okay? Let’s go to the departnt store, shall we?"
"Hmm?" Ruan Hao looked at her in confusion.
"I haven’t bought Brother Xu’s gift yet," Jiaojiao said, distressed.
"Okay, then wait for for a bit. I’ll grab a file and then take you, alright?" Ruan Hao patted her little head.
Once Ruan Hao got the file, Jiaojiao got into his car, and they left together.
However, before going to the departnt store, Ruan Hao needed to handle so matters at the hotel, so Jiaojiao went with him.
Compared to the hotels over at Yuansu’s, the Ruan Family’s hotel in Beidu was much more lavish. The last ti they went to a branch, but this ti they were at the main hotel in Beidu.
Before leaving, Jiaojiao didn’t bother changing her clothes; she wore a light green floral dress she had on at ho and swapped her slippers for white sandals adorned with small gemstones. She didn’t bother tying her hair, casually covering it with a sunhat.
But even so, getting out of the car with Ruan Hao holding her hand captured the attention of all the hotel staff.
This was because, although she wore simple clothes, being led by the young master of the hotel was enough to draw everyone’s gaze.
What’s more, even if they couldn’t clearly see her face, her aura and her skin almost glowing white reassured them that she must be quite attractive.
Jiaojiao, still thinking about the gift as she got out of the car, didn’t notice the people’s gazes around her. Her face was small, and the hat nearly covered half of it, leaving only a hint of her chin exposed, which everyone found delicate and charming.
She was led upstairs all the way and brought into an office on the second floor, causing excitent throughout the lobby below.
The lobby mostly had young female staff, who started gathering to discuss her identity as soon as Ruan Hao took Jiaojiao inside.
"Who was that just now? The young master was holding her hand. Is she his girlfriend?" One young girl asked enviously.
"Yeah, it’s the first ti I’ve seen the young master bring soone over, and he was holding her hand. Did you see how tenderly he was smiling at her? I wish he would smile at like that soti," another one said.
This comnt was t with a mock spit from a colleague, "You wish!" She laughed, holding her cheek, "If he’s going to smile, it’ll be at ."
Then she was playfully pushed by the previous staff, and they all laughed and teased each other.
