Just as she was about to withdraw, Aunt Cao Qiu had already picked up the items and stuffed them into her own cloth bag.
Cao Qiu couldn’t ask her to take it out either, so she could only awkwardly smile at Jiaojiao. Jiaojiao glanced at Aunt Cao Qiu’s cloth bag and just smiled back.
The family was busy, and soon Jiaojiao’s things were all packed.
"Xiaoxi, you haven’t packed up your side yet. Let’s go and sort out your things first and then we’ll go for dinner," said Ruanlin.
Duan Xi nodded. After greeting Cao Qiu and her aunt, the group left.
Watching Jiaojiao and the others leave, Aunt Cao Qiu imdiately went to the door to peek outside. Seeing that they had indeed left, she returned to the dorm and said to Cao Qiu, "Xiaoqiu, I think your roommate’s family is probably wealthy. Getting along well with them will be beneficial to you."
In fact, Aunt Cao Qiu had another thought she didn’t voice. She felt the young girl was quite naive. Fruit isn’t cheap these days. Unless visiting relatives or celebrating sothing happy, who would splurge on fruits and two apples without any connections? Isn’t that silly?!
Jiaojiao lived on the third floor. Upon reaching the first floor, the dorm supervisor Aunt Tang was tidying up. She looked up and saw several tall figures passing by her window. At first, she thought she was seeing things, but quickly realized n had indeed co in. She imdiately rushed out, saying, "Parents of the student, how did you co in? Didn’t you see the sign saying ’No n allowed’?"
"Aunt Tang." Ruan Hao ca out from the side and called out.
"Xiaohao? You’re back??" Aunt Tang looked at Ruan Hao, was first stunned, then excitedly approached.
"Yes, I just ca back a few days ago. This is my younger sister, Ruan Jiaojiao. Jiaojiao, say hello to Aunt Tang." Ruan Hao pulled Jiaojiao close to him.
"Aunt Tang." Jiaojiao imdiately greeted, her voice sweet and youthful. Being Ruan Hao’s sister, Aunt Tang’s serious face instantly blood into a smile, praising, "So this is the sister you often ntion. She’s really pretty and as good-looking as you."
Aunt Tang beca the dorm supervisor at Qing University through Ruan Hao’s recomndation.
Aunt Tang wasn’t from Beidu. She ca to Beidu after divorcing her husband and breaking ties with her family. With no diploma, barely literate, and without any job skills, she quickly spent all her savings within days in Beidu. She also had a son to raise, truly at her wit’s end.
Qing University is the best in Beidu. The dorm supervisor position is stable, not exhausting, and pays well. Without connections, how could she possibly get the job?
So after becoming the dorm supervisor, Aunt Tang was imnsely grateful to Ruan Hao. While he was studying at the university, she supervised his dorm for a while. Ruan Hao would even help tutor her son when he had ti. Every ti she tried to give him sothing in return, Ruan Hao, who wanted for nothing, would never accept anything.
She had a heart full of gratitude but nowhere to express it. Later, when Ruan Hao went abroad, she completely lost any chance to repay him. Seeing Jiaojiao now, she was genuinely delighted, and loved hearing the sweet call of "Aunt" from the young girl.
Holding Jiaojiao’s hand, she praised her repeatedly, completely forgetting about the ’No n allowed’ rule.
When Jiaojiao and the others left, Aunt Tang stood at the door watching, her smile never fading from beginning to end.
