If it were any other ti, Old Man Shu would have co down and made a joke by now. But today, he was frowning, touching the cane by his side, with a face full of regret. He had money! But... he hadn’t taken it out...
In the end, Jiaojiao took the 500 yuan living expense that Ruan Hao gave her and was led into the school by Duan Xi.
It was now two in the afternoon, the midday sun was blazing hot, and there were few people outside. Jiaojiao was escorted back to the dormitory building by Duan Xi.
Jiaojiao asked him, "Brother Xi, are you sure you don’t want to help you with tidying up?"
Although she couldn’t carry heavy things, she could still wipe the table with a cloth.
"No need, you head up first," Duan Xi said, noticing her tearful, sleepy eyes.
Jiaojiao didn’t insist either. She nodded, dragged her tired body into the dorm, greeted the dorm supervisor auntie as she passed her door, and then climbed upstairs.
Jiaojiao lived on the third floor, and the dormitory building was relatively central. When she arrived in the morning, three out of four positions in the room were already occupied, but except for Cao Qiu, she hadn’t seen the other. Now, as she ca in again, all four positions were filled, and everyone was present.
As soon as she ca in, all three people in the dorm turned to look at her.
"Holy crap!" The short-haired girl by the door, with a foxtail grass in her mouth, was stunned upon first seeing Jiaojiao and then jumped down from the more than one-ter-high bed.
"Little sister, are you sure you’re in the right place?" the short-haired girl asked as she walked up to her.
Looking at her, who was almost the sa height as Yang Xiaona, Jiaojiao nodded, "Yeah, I’m in the right place—I am in this dorm."
"Wow! How old are you?"
"Fifteen," Jiaojiao replied.
"Holy crap! Holy crap! Holy crap!" The short-haired girl exclaid three more tis.
Jiaojiao blinked, walked past her to her own bed. Her bed was on the sa side as hers but next to the bathroom and balcony, while the girl opposite her had claid her bed early on.
The girl was probably eighteen or nineteen, not exactly stunning, but her deanor was very pleasant. She might have just washed her hair, as her long, smooth hair hung slightly damp behind her. Seeing Jiaojiao look over, she gave a gentle smile, "Hello, my na is Liang Wenjing, from the Chinese Departnt."
Jiaojiao smiled and introduced herself, "Hello, everyone, I’m Ruan Jiaojiao, from the Foreign Languages Departnt."
"I’m Li Que, from the Sports Departnt," the short-haired girl said.
"Economics and Managent, Foreign Languages, Chinese, Sports—turns out we’re all from different departnts?" Li Que looked puzzled.
Jiaojiao didn’t know why she got so lucky to be assigned to a mixed dorm.
Li Que was brought in as a sports talent student, so her personality was more lively and sotis acted like a monkey; she was a local from Beidu.
Liang Wenjing was in the Chinese Departnt. Just like her na, she was especially quiet and gentle. Most of the ti, she didn’t talk much, but when others spoke, she would look at them, not making you feel ignored.
Cao Qiu was also pretty easy to get along with, though maybe because she rarely interacted with people before, she was quite shy and didn’t speak much at first.
Jiaojiao liked all three of her roommates. When it ca to people she liked, she was always generous, and she proactively opened up her cabinet.
