She and Duan Xi finished their al at Aunt Tang’s place, went upstairs to shower, and handed over all her clothes except her undergarnts to Duan Xi for washing.
After delivering the clothes, Li Que stood at the door clicking his tongue: "Little One, you’re only fifteen, right? Look at that love-struck expression on your face, aren’t you embarrassed?"
Jiaojiao grinned: "Nope. If you’re shy, you can’t catch a wolf."
"Can’t catch a wolf if you’re reluctant?" Li Que.
"Sort of." Jiaojiao continued to smile, feeling so happy she could practically fly. Although others might think that a girl confessing her feelings first is deaning, she didn’t think so.
Her brother Duan is so great; he’s done so much for her, while she’s done very little for him. It’s only right to be a bit proactive in love.
Of course, she would never admit she’s afraid soone might steal him away before she’s even an adult!
Jiaojiao was thrilled, especially since the holiday was starting tomorrow. She hadn’t finished all the candies and snacks in her cabinet, so she generously laid them out on the table for everyone to enjoy.
Everyone ate together and chatted.
Jiaojiao rembered that Liang Wenjing also had a boyfriend, and couldn’t help but ask her curiously: "Sister Wenjing, is your boyfriend also a freshman?"
Liang Wenjing shook her head, smiled softly, and said, "No, he’s in dical school, a year ahead of ."
Liang Wenjing wasn’t exactly a local; during high school, because her family had many children, she was adopted by her childless aunt and uncle.
She didn’t show much at the ti, but she felt so disheartennt, then fell seriously ill, barely having the will to live, until she t a boy. That boy angrily told her that life is priceless, and she shouldn’t waste it like that, saying so people desperately fight to stay alive.
She always rembered the anger in his eyes when he said those words, genuinely looking furious.
Later, she abandoned her old passive attitude and started living with effort, gradually regaining her health. Most importantly, she gained two genuine family relationships; her aunt and uncle truly loved her as their own.
"So now he’s in his second year, dical school. I also have a brother in dical school; he’s studying clinical dicine. He’s really amazing." Jiaojiao thought of Ruan Feng, who joined the dical school last year and is now in his second year.
Liang Wenjing saw Jiaojiao’s prideful expression about her brother, handed her a washed date, and smiled.
"Little One, you have a brother in college? How many brothers did you say you have last ti?" Li Que asked, very curious about her brothers.
"I have nine brothers, two are biological, seven are cousins, and two god brothers, making eleven brothers in total." Jiaojiao replied.
"Oh my gosh, your family is like a brother wholesale departnt, so many." Li Que exclaid in disbelief.
Jiaojiao laughed and giggled: "Yeah, they’re wholesale. Next ti I’ll introduce you to them; if you fancy any of them, feel free to choose."
"Haha, can I choose your real brother? Our Instructor Ruan is really good." Li Que joked, though she did have a bit of a crush on Ruan Jie, but she knew her cousin liked him even more, so that crush had faded into re admiration.
