Capítulo 1742: Chapter 1742: Admiration (4)
Jiaojiao was feeling all sorts of discomfort as she watched! Her face was extrely unsightly.
Beside her, Duan Xi reached out to hold her small hand, and only then did Jiaojiao take a deep breath and continue reading. The person behind all this could be said to be both expected and unexpected—it was Zheng Jiaojiao.
Jiaojiao stared at Zheng Jiaojiao’s na above and was montarily speechless. After all, in her view, although she had conflicts with Zheng Jiaojiao, it was never to this extent.
Was she really trying to kill her? Was their hatred this deep?
After finishing the docunt, Jiaojiao quietly processed these matters for quite so ti.
Duan Qianyang, in the front, glanced at her from the rearview mirror every now and then, his eyes filled with worry. Once Jiaojiao cald herself down, she smiled at him, “Uncle Duan, don’t worry, I’m fine, I wasn’t scared.”
To Jiaojiao, though these matters were dark and low, they rely disrupted her mood. They hardly scared her, as she had faced things far more frightening than this in the past.
Upon hearing this, Duan Qianyang glanced at Duan Xi with a smile and said, “That’s good. After trying on the dress, I heard there’s a new KFC opened recently in the Western District. Kids your age would definitely love it—want to give it a try?”
Upon hearing that, Jiaojiao’s eyes indeed lit up.
Of course, she liked it. During this era, KFC had just started gaining popularity in the country, and it was fairly expensive. She could afford it, but couldn’t indulge often due to health reasons. She had to save room for a proper al; occasional bites were enough.
Jiaojiao’s mood instantly improved. Seeing the sparkle in her eyes from the front seat, Duan Qianyang finally breathed a sigh of relief.
The car arrived at the location in half an hour, but perhaps because it was the weekend, cars filled the parking spaces outside the mall. Jiaojiao and Duan Xi got out first, standing at the entrance while waiting for Duan Qianyang to park elsewhere.
Though it was winter, the sun was out today, and they were warmly dressed, so standing outside wasn’t cold at all. In fact, the sunlight felt especially comforting.
Jiaojiao stood facing the sun, her eyes struggling under the light. She shifted behind Duan Xi, resting her little head on his back, lazily squinting in another direction.
She was standing right in front of the mall’s entrance, and the direction she looked toward was by the corner of the mall, where a sowhat familiar figure was standing.
Jiaojiao blinked, rembered sothing, and pouted slightly. Just as she was about to look away, a familiar car drove up and stopped a few ters away from her. Thrilled, she was about to tug Duan Xi’s sleeve and walk over when she saw that familiar figure rush over faster, anxiously clinging to the passenger side door.
Jiaojiao frowned, thinking, what does this an?
Why was Zhou Yun clinging to her older brother’s car door?
Are they that familiar?
Jiaojiao pursed her lips, not rushing over but remaining in place watching.
“Mr. Ruan, Mr. Ruan…” Zhou Yun clung to the car window, urgently knocking on Ruan Hao’s car door.
She herself was a fragile girl, currently dressed in thin work attire, so in this mont, she was turning pale from the cold, her lips purple. When she knocked on the window calling out to Mr. Ruan, her voice was trembling, her body shivering, making her appear exceptionally pitiful.
