Of course, he couldn’t take it, he hung up the phone and got himself so worked up that he ended up in the hospital.
Afterward, when Jiaojiao went to see him, Grandpa Shu gave Ruan Jiaojiao the cold shoulder for the first ti, the kind where he wouldn’t even glance at her, saying she must not like this old man anymore, that’s why she didn’t tell him about such an important event.
To appease the old man, Jiaojiao had to say that the man she loved most was him, no one else could compare.
Old people, they say, get more childlike the older they get, and it’s true. Grandpa Shu naturally took it seriously and felt balanced in his heart.
