Because the wedding is the next day, the four mbers of the Hong Family temporarily moved to the hotel. When she returned from the Ruan Family, the Hong couple were in Hong Ping’s room having a private conversation. Hong Ling ca in from outside, her face still flushed with embarrassnt, yet the Hong couple were engrossed in talking with Hong Ping, so they didn’t notice her unusual deanor.
Hong Ling didn’t mind, and sat by the dressing table at the bedside, recalling eting Ruan Hao at the Ruan Family ho earlier, rembering his warm smile, and couldn’t help but blush, unconsciously starting to smile.
The Ruan Family had many brothers, including Duan Xi, all of them were handso, yet none could make Hong Ling feel the way Ruan Hao did today. Just one look at him felt like he was ant for her.
She smiled so happily that she made a sound, and Hong Ping, facing her direction, noticed and asked with a smile, "Lingling, what’s making you so happy?"
Hong Ping was three years older than Hong Ling, and since having so mory, she has been taking care of her sister. Even though their parents were sowhat partial to the younger sister, she never felt unfair, instead, she has always loved her dearly.
Hong Ling heard this, finally snapping out of her thoughts, her face turning even redder. She shyly picked at her nails and replied, "Mom, Dad, Sister, I think I’ve found the person I want to marry."
The other three in the room were all stunned upon hearing this.
Madam Hong imdiately stood up, walked over, and asked with a frown, "Lingling, what are you talking about?"
Hong Ling shyly bowed her head and whispered, "I just t Jiaojiao’s big brother, I... I like him!" Speaking to this point, she suddenly lifted her head, looking at Madam Hong, "Mom, I want to marry him!"
"..." The room fell silent.
Probably a few seconds later, Hong Ping was the first to react, staring at Hong Ling in disbelief, angrily shouting, "Lingling, what nonsense are you talking about? Do you know what you’re saying?!"
Hong Ling glanced at the overly reactive Hong Ping, feeling sowhat aggrieved and defiant, "Sister, why are you being so fierce? How am I talking nonsense? I just like soone, is that wrong?"
Since childhood, Hong Ping’s temper was gentle, rarely losing her temper, let alone at her dear sister. But at this mont, she was quite angry, yet unable to scold, she could only let her chest heave up and down in fury, pointing at Hong Ling without uttering a word, just trembling continuously.
Madam Hong, seeing this, afraid that the two sisters might really quarrel, quickly reached out to hold Hong Ping’s finger, soothing, "Pingping, your sister is still young, speak nicely."
Turning her head, then pretended to sternly scold Hong Ling, "Nannan, don’t talk nonsense, that’s your elder sister’s brother-in-law. How could two sisters marry two brothers? Stop talking nonsense, people will laugh at you."
"Why can’t it happen? They aren’t real brothers; he’s Ruan Jiaojiao’s big brother, I just like him. You are being feudal!" Seeing that not only Hong Ping scolded her but her parents weren’t siding with her, Hong Ling was sowhat angry too, tears welling up.
Beside her, Father Hong was just anxiously pacing, yet there was never a place for him to speak at ho, he could only repeatedly say, "Don’t be upset, don’t be upset, we are a family, speak nicely, speak nicely."
Hong Ping was genuinely at a loss for words, almost having a heart attack from Hong Ling’s anger, yet unable to utter a scolding word.
