Ruan Chi didn’t care about Ruan Wei behind him and walked all the way to the hotel entrance, drove to the ballroom, and hadn’t even parked yet before he saw Jiaojiao standing at the entrance with her head down, staring at her toes. Though usually so delicate, unable to endure a trace of sunlight, she stood under the sun, who knows for how long?
Ruan Chi sighed deeply, though his heart was tender beyond asure for this foolish girl.
He parked the car, got out, and called, "Jiaojiao."
Jiaojiao imdiately lifted her head, her eyes bright: "Brother Chi." She had already run over and tilted her head to glance inside his car, seemingly checking if anyone was following.
"What are you looking at?" He asked knowingly.
"Where’s brother Wei?" Jiaojiao asked.
Duan Xi, standing behind her, turned and went back inside the ballroom upon seeing Ruan Chi arrive.
Ruan Chi didn’t answer her question but instead held her hand and asked, "Are you hot?"
"It’s alright, not too hot," Jiaojiao said, shaking his sleeve a little: "Brother Chi, that Yaya..."
"Afraid soone might snatch your brother away," Ruan Chi teased.
Jiaojiao pouted. Though she was already seventeen, nearly an adult, she should be above such jealousy. But honestly, seeing Yaya, she really didn’t like her.
Especially since the other party didn’t like her either, bumping into her right away.
Seeing Jiaojiao sulking silently, Ruan Chi stopped joking and didn’t hide anything from her because he knew his sister was a worrying soul. Not telling her was worse, so he told her everything he had learned.
