Chapter 548: Chapter 548: Overwhelming Luck (7)_1 Chapter 548: Chapter 548: Overwhelming Luck (7)_1 When they arrived at the hospital, it was just after ten in the morning.

This was a hospital, so they couldn’t bring all those things to the dical office; they had to leave the car outside and the whole family entered the hospital.

But to their surprise, the granny who wasn’t there yesterday was there today, seemingly waiting for them specifically.

Seeing the group co in, she imdiately smiled kindly and waved at Ruan Jiaojiao, “Little Jiaojiao is here, co to Granny.”

Ruan Jiaojiao did not hesitate this ti, and imdiately trotted over.

She smiled sweetly, bowing deeply to the old granny, “Thank you, Granny.”

The old granny laughed heartily at this, pulling her over to her side and teasing her, “Finally no more crying, look how pretty you are when you smile.”

Ruan Jiaojiao shyly blushed.

Behind her, Shu Jiao and Ruan Jian|Guo also ca up with smiles on their faces to say hello, and also sincerely expressed their gratitude. The old granny was willing to accept Ruan Jiaojiao’s bow but refused to accept theirs, saying, “Don’t, don’t, I didn’t do much really. It’s still our hospital that wasn’t managed strictly enough, allowing such a person to be around.”

At this, she looked at Ruan Jiaojiao again and revisited the previous issue, “It’s such a pity that Jiaojiao had to suffer such an ordeal…”

“Granny…” Ruan Jiaojiao whined, hoping she wouldn’t bring up yesterday’s crying incident again.

The old granny just laughed again.

She invited Shu Jiao and Ruan Jian|Guo to sit down, and as they chatted, she pointed at Xiu Xi and said, “Your boy is also impressive, he was so protective yesterday. He rushed out like a little wolf cub when he saw teasing Jiaojiao, you’d have thought this old woman was picking quarrels.”

The old granny’s humorous and witty way of speaking made them all laugh from ti to ti, and before they knew it, it was almost noon.

They also learned more about the old lady’s circumstances through their conversation.

The old lady’s surna was Fu, and her husband’s surna was Yuan. They had four sons nad Yuan Hui, Yuan Peng, Yuan Li, and Yuan Shen, all of whom were in the dical profession. It could be said that nearly all the doctors in this hospital were from the Yuan family.

As it was getting close to noon, Old Madam Yuan glanced at her eldest son who was just coming in, and asked, “Did you take care of what I asked you to do this morning?”

Yuan Hui smiled as he took off his white coat, greeted Ruan Jian|Guo and Shu Jiao, and then replied to the old lady, “It’s all taken care of, just waiting for you to bring our guests ho.”

Upon hearing this, Old Madam Yuan nodded in satisfaction and turned to invite the couple, “I feel a connection with you both. Why don’t you co to this old woman’s ho for a visit? You’re not allowed to refuse. Otherwise, this old woman will never be able to repay this debt of gratitude unless you want to take it to the grave and co back to repay it in the next life.”

What a thing to say.

Shu Jiao and Ruan Jian|Guo shared a wry smile with each other. They had co to express their thanks, yet how had it turned into them mooching a al at soone else’s house?

But with the old lady having put it that way, they naturally could not refuse. They agreed to the invitation, especially since they had a car full of gifts outside. Bringing it into the hospital really wouldn’t be appropriate; it was better to deliver it to the hosts’ ho.

The Yuan family lived very close to the hospital, just a few houses apart, residing in a standalone mansion—one of the biggest in the entire city.

After being invited inside the house, Ruan Jiaojiao did not look around freely, for fear of being impolite.

But the mont she entered the house, her attention was captured by a painting. It was an ink painting of a little girl roughly her age.
