Hu Lanzhi nodded, as Qi Weixin’s horoom teacher, it was her responsibility.
She squatted down in front of Qi Weixin and asked softly, “Weixin, tell the teacher what’s wrong.”
Qi Weixin still didn’t answer, just kept wiping away tears with her hand.
Huang Li said from the side, “She just cries like this when I ask her; I really don’t know what to do.”
Hu Lanzhi nodded again, and turning back to look at Qi Weixin, her voice grew even softer, “Weixin, is there so difficulty? You can tell the teacher.”
Qi Weixin shook her head while crying.
Hu Lanzhi began to guess, “Weixin, are you upset because the teacher didn’t let you be the class leader?”
“It’s not that,” Qi Weixin replied, choking up and biting her lip as she looked at Hu Lanzhi, “Teacher, I want to transfer classes.”
“Transfer classes?” Huang Li imdiately pulled her aside, “What nonsense are you spouting, child? There’s no reason to transfer classes!”
“Wuwuwu… I’ve lost all face in this class, I can’t stay any longer, I want to transfer classes!” Qi Weixin cried out, head tilted back, overco with emotion.
“Alright, alright, Weixin, don’t get worked up. First tell the teacher why you want to transfer classes, is there sothing I did wrong?”
Qi Weixin still shook her head, “It’s not related to the teacher.”
“Then what is it about?”
Qi Weixin pressed her lips tightly together, still unwilling to answer, just adamant about wanting to transfer classes.
When Hu Lanzhi questioned her further, she just broke into tears.
Finally Huang Li beca so angry she almost resorted to physical discipline.
At that ti, Qi Lian hurried over, and seeing her father whom she loved the most, Qi Weixin finally threw herself into his arms, crying inconsolably and, coaxed by Qi Lian’s comforting words, she slowly explained the whole situation.
Having worked in the education sector for so many years, Qi Lian had never heard of soone with such an astonishing mory that they could recall things down to the second; it was clearly nonsense, taking advantage of the fact that children are naive with a bunch of baloney.
Qi Lian’s face didn’t look good, and he said to Hu Lanzhi, “Miss Hu, could you bring this student over for questioning?”
Hu Lanzhi too was astonished by Qi Weixin’s actions, feeling sowhat displeased, especially since the report she had made yesterday seed like re vanity, a burning desire to stand out which Hu Lanzhi hadn’t taken seriously.
She had never imagined that Weixin would report soone else in such an irresponsible manner.
And Qi Lian clearly didn’t think it was wrong, seeming almost confrontational, but Hu Lanzhi herself was also dubious about Xiu Xi’s purportedly precise mory. After a few seconds of silence, she nodded.
Along the corridor on the first floor, four classrooms in a row, she walked past each one, noting only their class was quiet while the others were bustling with noise.
Hu Lanzhi was more and more pleased with Xiu Xi as the class leader.
Thinking of the standing of Qi Lian and Huang Li at the school, she felt sowhat uneasy, and turned to visit the principal’s office first before returning to the classroom to find Xiu Xi.
