Jiang Bin nodded solemnly, thanking Jianguo before returning to his temporary residence. Then, he made a call back to the old house. Initially, he wanted to have photos mailed over, but considering how slow that would be, he decided to have soone bring them in person instead.
Of course, since he still had no certainty about the matter, he couldn’t let his older brother and sister-in-law know. He carried out the investigation in secret, waiting to have a preliminary conclusion before telling them and bringing the child back for identification.
Thinking that Xiu Xun might be his own nephew, Jiang Bin was overwheld with excitent and found it hard to calm down. He had people refund his train ticket and took an annual leave from work, planning to settle down here temporarily.

Jiaojiao did not answer but asked instead, “Do you know why she didn’t co to class today?”
“It seems she fell ill. She’s really frail, even more so than Lin i, always missing class because she’s unwell,” Yang Tao said with an air of disbelief. The events of the previous night hadn’t spread, so nobody at school was aware.
Jiaojiao nodded but offered no explanation.
After the break, Jiaojiao took the initiative to visit the principal’s office, wanting to enquire about the situation, but was inford that the principal was out and thus returned without accomplishing anything.
Weixin was absent for two days, and it wasn’t until Friday that she returned to class.
