Qiao Qiqi and Gu Shili had just sat down when a slightly chubby figure plopped down beside them.

Who’s the idiot bothering while I’m eating?
A plate of exquisite roast duck was placed in front of Qiao Qiqi. She looked up to see a sowhat familiar silly face.
"Miss Qiao, this is the roast duck I specially prepared for you. See if it suits your taste." Gu Shilin smiled at the two, "I’m really sorry, everything before was a misunderstanding! I’ve figured it out; we’re brothers after all. How can we fall out over so money? Wouldn’t that be laughable?"
Qiao Qiqi, "..."
Oh, it’s the cousin who had his hand broken by Gu Shili in the hospital.
"Shi Li, I was wrong before. Big brother truly knows he was wrong. You and Miss Qiao, just be the bigger persons and forgive this ti."
"Where’s this roast duck from?" Gu Shili was too lazy to argue with him. Since he had already learned his lesson, Gu Shili wouldn’t bother with his past deeds.
"I specially had it sent over, then roasted it again at ho. The taste is superb, don’t worry. I had the duck fra; I didn’t touch these."
Qiao Qiqi picked up the chopsticks and took a bite; it tasted okay.
"It’s alright."
"Since that’s the case, Miss Qiao, please forgive my previous recklessness. I promise, from now on, I’ll definitely take good care of my little brother. I won’t ss up again!"
What a joke, she’s a life-saving Divine Doctor. Dad and Grandpa even talked to him about it. After thorough thinking, he reckons he must cozy up to her.
"Who needs your protection!" Gu Shili glared at him unhappily. This cousin used to look down on him. Clearly, where there’s no benefit, there’s no diligence. He’s probably compromising now because he knows Qiqi’s dical skills are excellent.
"Alright, alright, whatever you say is right." Gu Shilin didn’t argue with him, just smiling at the two.
The three were talking when a waiter brought three glasses of water to them.
Gu Shili reached to pick up his glass, but Gu Shilin was faster, grabbing and drinking it.
Only after drinking did he realize he’d relapsed into an old habit. He always used to love snatching whatever was Gu Shili’s; if it belonged to his cousin, he’d snatch it.
Gu Shili never bothered to haggle with him, so over the years, he made himself look like a clown.
It was only that ti in the hospital when he showed disrespect to Qiao Qiqi that this kid suddenly went wild, and in doing so, broke his hand.
Qiao Qiqi frowned at him, clearly displeased, her gaze seemingly about to tear his mouth apart!
"My mistake, my mistake, sorry!" Gu Shilin smiled awkwardly, putting the glass back.
Gu Shili, "..."
When Bai Jingjing walked over, she saw Gu Shili’s glass half-empty and felt a bit excited. She said, "Cousin Li, Grandpa is feeling unwell; he wants you to check on him in his room."
"Isn’t my grandpa in the study?" Gu Shili frowned.
"Uh, he’s feeling unwell, so he went to the bedroom." Bai Jingjing said with a light cough.
"Qiqi, co check on him with ." Gu Shili held Qiao Qiqi’s hand. Since Grandpa was unwell and Qiqi was a doctor, she could take a look at him.
"No need, the family doctor has already gone over; there’s no need for an outsider to check." Bai Jingjing quickly said.
"I’ll pass. Gu Shili, you go ahead." Qiao Qiqi’s lips curled in a mocking smile. Bai Jingjing is really sothing, actually scheming against her benefactor.
