Now reading: Chapter 167: The Lionheart Brothers from The Lady's Butler: I Reincarnated To Serve The Villainess, a Fantasy novel by SherlockeGnomes.

The group was now in the vehicle, sitting in a way that made them face each other.

This was Alvíss’s latest design, a Limo.

Though, most didn’t mind the sitting arrangents, as Adrian was beside his lady who was, not so secretly, holding his ungloved hand.

Isla was asleep in Conan’s lap, and the headmistress silently placed a hand on her chin as she watched the houses go by.

Darius, anwhile, had his eyes on the man sitting before him, Orion Lionheart, his older brother.

This man was one of Darius’s greatest obstacles, especially since he was always compared to him.

Though, their relationship couldn’t be said to be hostile, quite the contrary actually, Darius greatly looked up to the man before him,

But he’d never let Orion find that out.

"You’re staring," Orion finally muttered.

Darius imdiately looked away.

"Tch, as if I’d stare at your ugly face."

Unfortunately for Darius, Orion only chuckled softly at the response, "You missed that much?"

"Go die."

"Hm, definitely missed ."

Darius clicked his tongue and crossed his arms while Orion’s smile widened slightly.

Conan was a bit surprised at their interaction, especially given that Darius had been oddly quiet since this man showed up.

He then looked at the two, noticing that the resemblance between them was honestly obvious now that they were side by side.

Though Darius had a lighter colored skin...and was a lot louder too.

But their relationship was a lot more normal than he expected.

Still, he was curious about one thing, since his scanner showed that they were both at A-Rank and their threat levels were high,

"So," he started, "who’s stronger?"

"," Orion answered imdiately.

"Like hell you are," Darius shot back instantly.

"Oh?" Orion raised an eyebrow. "Did you finally beat while I wasn’t looking?"

"...Not yet," Darius muttered after being silent for a while before adding, "Just you wait, I’ll kick your ass before the festival starts."

"You did get stronger," Orion nodded as he sensed his little brother’s mana, "but so did I, little brother, are you confident you can beat ?"

Though he said that, he couldn’t help but frown a bit, after all, when he tried sensing Darius’s mana just now, he could’ve sworn that it was identical to the grand Duke.

Now, to be more specific, it gave the sa suppressing feeling a dragon’s mana gave, which should be impossible since none of them had managed to awaken that bloodline.

Hence the reason they were considered a disappointnt by their father.

"Did you awaken sothing interesting, little brother?" Orion asked as he looked towards Darius.

"You’ll just have to find out later," Darius said with a smug grin that caused Orion to chuckle.

"I’ve never seen you this motivated before."

With that, they went silent and Orion turned towards the window again.

The busy streets of the South were gone now, replaced by a far quieter district.

Massive black-stone walls surrounded the area while streams of magma flowed through carefully carved channels across the streets making them almost seem like rivers.

Unlike the loud markets outside, this place radiated wealth and authority.

The nobles of the South clearly preferred intimidating grandeur over elegance.

"We’ve arrived," Orion muttered.

Conan imdiately looked out the window and his eyes widened slightly.

Before them stood an enormous mansion built directly into the side of a volcanic cliff, parts of the structure almost seed fused with the mountain itself.

Molten light glowed through transparent crimson crystals embedded across the walls while giant pillars of black volcanic rock held the structure together.

And behind it all was a volcano towered over the horizon.

Definitely not the safest of places to build a mansion, but the cool factor could clearly not be denied.

Conan honestly couldn’t even tell where the mountain ended and where the mansion began.

The entire structure looked like it had been carved directly from the volcano itself.

"Is your family insane?" he asked honestly.

"Yes," Darius answered imdiately.

Orion nodded calmly, "Very much so."

Renelle let out a chuckle as she overheard their conversation, it seems the two brothers were pretty much alike.

She watched as Conan let out a sigh and leaned back.

The limo slowly ca to a stop in front of the massive black gates guarding the estate.

The gates themselves were enormous, covered in glowing crimson engravings that were in the shape of flas flowing endlessly across the tal.

The mont the vehicle approached, the engravings lit up brighter before the gates slowly opened on their own.

Conan’s eyes imdiately glowed as the interface popped up before him.

{High concentration of fire mana detected.}

{Defensive magic formation identified.}

{Threat Level: Dangerous.}

In other words, the gate was a magic tool capable of killing him if he wasn’t careful.

These two were right, their family really was insane.

The car ca to a stop in front of the mansion and a servant imdiately walked towards the door and held it open for them.

The servant bowed deeply the mont the door opened.

"Welco back, Young Masters."

Orion stepped out first without much reaction while Darius clicked his tongue and stretched his body lazily after leaving the vehicle.

"Finally," he muttered, "my back was starting to hurt."

Conan stepped out next, still carrying the sleeping Isla carefully in his arms.

He was then followed by Renelle and Adrian, finally, the headmistress stepped out, adjusted her glasses, and looked at the estate before muttering,

"It truly has been a long while since I last ca here."

Before the group could take a step towards the Mansion,

ROAR!!!

A loud roar caused them to look up and they noticed sothing coming towards them.

BOOOOM!

The gigantic creature suddenly crashed down onto the courtyard from above and the ground imdiately shattered beneath its weight.

Conan’s eyes widened, when the beast landed right in front of him.

The creature before him was a beast easily larger than a house.

Its body resembled a lion’s, but every inch of it was covered in crimson scales instead of fur.

It had massive curved horns coming from its head while flas escaped from its nostrils with every breath it took.

"A dragon?"
