"Sit."

For so reason, without even giving it much thought, Darius imdiately sat down, forgetting that he wasn’t even close to a chair.

The man, probably their professor, pinched the bridge of his nose and let out a sigh.

He already regretted coming to this class, as they were always headaches no matter the year.

"Not there, you idiot," The man said, "find a chair to sit on."

Darius imdiately stood up, let out a chuckle, before walking towards the chairs, choosing a random one and sitting on it.

After he was properly settled, the professor then scanned the faces of the students one at a ti before sighing again.

"Welco to your second year," he started, "I am Leon Krell, but you may address as professor, and I’ll be taking you through everything theoretical."

The students were quiet through Professor Leon’s introduction and his black eyes scanned them once more before continuing.

"Since this is only your first day, let’s start with so recap," the professor then turned to the white board behind him and tapped on it with his magic tool, the next second, a text appeared.

GEOGRAPHY AND HISTORY 101

He then turned towards the students and randomly pointed.

"You, glasses," the professor said, his gaze landing on the girl with glasses, "tell what you know about Avera."

The girl with glasses adjusted them slightly as she stood up, her expression was calm, but the slight glint in her eyes made it clear that she had been waiting for this.

"Avera is divided into five primary human-controlled regions," she began without hesitation.

"The North, governed by Grand Duke Boreas Ardent, is a land of eternal winter. The environnt is extrely hostile, but rich in ice-aligned mana and resources suited for cold-resistant species and spirits."

A few students glanced at Renelle, but she showed no reaction to it.

"The South is a volcanic region, abundant in fire-aspected mana. It is governed by a Grand Duke whose domain specializes in fire-based combat and industry."

She paused briefly before continuing.

"The East is ruled by Grand Duke Everhart and is known for its strong wind currents and aerial terrain. It produces so of the fastest spirit users and is considered the most mobile military force among the four directions."

"The West," she paused again, seemingly thinking for a while, "is less specialized compared to the other three, but is known for its dense forests and balanced mana environnt, making it suitable for a wide variety of spirits and disciplines."

Her tone remained steady throughout, showing the confidence she had in her answer.

"At the center of Avera lies the Royal Capital, which houses the Imperial Palace and the Imperial Spirit Academy. It acts as the political and educational hub of all human territories."

Most students, like Darius, the sleepy one and the bored one, hadn’t paid to a word she said, instead, they just wanted her to get it over with already.

But she was far from done.

"However," she raised a finger slightly, "all of this only accounts for roughly forty percent of Avera’s total landmass."

"The remaining sixty percent is unclaid by humans and is dominated by high-level beasts and corrupted spirits. These regions are both dangerous and resource-rich."

She finally pushed her glasses up again as she continued speaking.

"Due to this, most expansion efforts have either failed or resulted in heavy casualties, which is why the current borders have remained largely unchanged for decades."

This ti, she truly was done as she finally took a seat and Darius seed to let out a sigh of relief.

"Good," Professor Leon said, "at least one of you paid attention last year."

He then looked at the students one at a ti before his eyes rested on another, the bored one, and he called out.

"You," he pointed, "explain what beasts and corrupted spirits are."

The other students were certain that the bored student wouldn’t be able to answer, but they were surprised when he calmly stood up and placed both hands in blazer’s pockets before starting.

"Beasts are normal animals mutated by the presence of mana," he said, "whilst corrupted spirits are Spirit that are born from polluted mana."

With that, he sat down, not bothering to say anymore. Professor Leon’s eyes twitched as he watched the student sit back down.

The kid wasn’t wrong, but his answer was an oversimplification of what beasts and corrupted spirits actually are.

Still, this was a revision class, not a teaching one, so he would accept that answer.

"Moving on," the professor clicked his magic tool and the text on the white board changed.

***

Professor Leon’s classes soon wrapped up and the class one students found themselves walking towards a certain direction,

The combat practice hall.

Renelle and Adrian calmly walked with the rest, as they were led towards it by Professor Leon himself.

The walk wasn’t a long one, since all of the Class one’s facilities were on the sa floor of the building.

HISS!

The door let out a hiss as the students walked into it, and a couple looked around in awe.

But to Adrian, it wasn’t that much interesting.

The Combat practice hall looked like a large dojo with so magic tools here and there, closer to the walls were weapons of different kind.

But they were mostly here for aesthetic, as spirit mages rarely, if ever, used normal weapons.

Even if they did, it’d be one ford from their own spirit’s elents, like Renelle’s sword in her past life.

Adrian let out a sigh, the author truly had nothing else to fill this room with did he?

Standing...or rather sitting in the center of the the training hall with closed eyes was a woman with tanned skin.

A feature that imdiately told that she was from the South....or maybe she liked spending a bit too much ti in the sun.

She had on a black combat appropriate outfit with the academy’s logo on it.

Her hair was yellow, closer to being blonde, tied in a ponytail. She kept her eyes close as she calmly took in deep breaths and exhaled.

But it was more than a breathing exercise.

With his glasses, Adrian could see a large amount of electrically charged mana surrounding her.

Professor Leon cleared his throat to get her attention, and that seed to work perfectly.

Slowly, she opened her eyes, revealing a pair of yellow pupils and a visible arc of electricity within them before disappearing.

She then stood up and glanced at professor Leon before smiling and saying,

"Hello professor."
