The Book of Knowledge suffered a severe blow. Previously, it might have verbally admitted defeat, but deep down it still believed it was the true leader. Without it, the master could not move forward; whenever he saw it, he would cry and kneel at its hem.
But things weren’t as it imagined. During its dormancy, Rod not only did not lose out but even achieved more dazzling accomplishnts.
Two King’s Souls, two Strong Sources, requiring hunting two King Level Monsters, one of which is an avatar of Black Fog, and the other is the King of Ancient Giant Dragons.
Without my presence, the master couldn’t possibly defeat them.
This realization struck it hard, but the Book of Knowledge didn’t stay reclusive for long; it quickly thought of an explanation.
"I got it!"
"It must be my wisdom that infected the master, allowing him to create so many miracles during my dormancy. I am indeed the avatar of wisdom and knowledge, hahaha!"
Having figured this out, the Book of Knowledge ca back to life.
It seriously studied Rod’s current state and the resources available in the Dream Realm.
Upon seeing the countless powerful souls, it had to admit that the master’s harvest during this ti was indeed abundant, providing him with many more choices.
After asking Rod for the details of his battles during this period, the Book of Knowledge pondered for a mont.
"Master."
It said with a hint of hesitation.
"Actually, there’s no real flaw in your fighting style. Whether it’s endurance, explosive force, ambush, long-range or close-quarter combat, you have corresponding ans. The combat system is relatively complete; at least the core frawork is intact, without deficits."
"The main issue, in fact, is the Spiritual Energy problem."
"Your Spiritual Energy is not strong enough, at least not strong enough to support all the stars. [Truth] requires stronger Spiritual Energy to truly show its power. [Giant God Power] lasts too short because Spiritual Energy is insufficient and has to rely on [Blank] to prolong."
"The burning effect of [Bloody Tears] doesn’t fully manifest due to weak Spiritual Energy, [Blood Contract Revival] also suffers the sa, so you use it less, only utilizing its body enhancent function."
"The power of [Star Shuttle] falls short due to low Spiritual Power Strength, but your thod of winding Star Line on your hands for lee combat has opened a new use, hoping for further developnt; it is a very strong star."
"[Spirit Elegy] and [Divine Sense] are star enhancing forces, [Spirit Boat] is a special star, [Frost Blue] is used for Spiritual Energy recovery."
"[Justice Execution] is the final destructive ans with the greatest power but has the harshest usage conditions."
"As for [Wind’s Phantom], it has many uses, but the strength of the phantom also varies with your Spiritual Power Strength."
Rod nodded slightly; the Book of Knowledge made very valid points. While it might not excel in on-the-spot combat, its theoretical research is quite profound.
"So, what you’re saying is all my issues boil down to my Spiritual Power Strength not being high enough."
The Book of Knowledge flapped its pages and said with a certain tone.
"Exactly, Master. Your most urgent need now is Spiritual Energy. As long as your Spiritual Energy grows strong, any problem will be easily solved."
Rod’s eyes lit up.
"Then, which stars should I ignite now to gain the most Spiritual Energy?"
The Book of Knowledge flipped through its pages as if searching through its mories.
After so ti, it suddenly jumped up.
"I know now!"
Excitedly, the Book of Knowledge said.
"Master, right now we have two King’s Souls, two Strong Sources, and if we sacrifice other souls with sources, we’ll have 18 sources. This batch of resources is enough to ignite the outer Greater Stars."
"These are the three powerful Great Stars I’ve chosen for you. They all require two King’s Souls, two Strong Sources, and 18 Sources."
"Because they’re too powerful, they demand double the Soul Firewood, totaling 76 portions, requiring 760 Divinity."
The Book of Knowledge paused and revealed the nas of the stars.
"They are [Ti Wander], [Sin’s Touch], and [Song of Life]."
"[Ti Wander] is a star of the Three Pillars of Source Law, with the power of ti, it can slow down the ti of the objects you touch."
"[Song of Life] is also a star of the Three Pillars of Source Law, possessing active force that can greatly enhance Life Force."
"[Sin’s Touch] is a star with Destruction Power; it can wreck monsters’ defenses, break their Spiritual Protection, making them extrely vulnerable."
"Besides their own capabilities, each star maximizes Spiritual Energy enhancent within the sa position."
Rod’s eyes widened. Each star ntioned by the Book of Knowledge had a huge allure for him.
If he could, he really wouldn’t want to choose.
But the Great Stars were chosen specifically for him based on available resources, igniting each star would exhaust his resources.
He could only choose one.
After long hesitation, Rod chose [Sin’s Touch].
While [Ti Wander] is strong, from the Commander’s perspective, his Destructive Power can’t keep up currently, even if he slows the enemy’s ti, he can’t kill them.
Moreover, in actual combat, he has auxiliary support from phit and Anna, one for freezing and one for paralyzing, which sufficiently controls enemies. Slowing ti doesn’t offer a particularly distinct advantage.
The sa goes for [Song of Life]; Life Force doesn’t equate to Spiritual Energy. What he needs most now is Spiritual Energy, enhancing Life Force doesn’t provide substantial benefit, [Blood Contract Revival] is sufficient.
On the contrary, [Sin’s Touch] is undoubtedly the capability he needs most; Rod’s attacks have often been blocked by monsters’ strong defenses. If he can directly destroy their defenses, the chances of creating openings increase significantly.
The Book of Knowledge agreed with Rod’s choice but also explained why the other two stars are listed here.
"Ti Slowdown" is a powerful control ability fundantally different from freezing and paralysis; in extre states, it can even freeze enemies outside ti and space. [Ti Wander] is a very strong star but similarly requires Spiritual Energy to sustain it; without it, enemies quickly break free from "Ti Slowdown."
It might not be as significant now for Rod, but in the future, it will undoubtedly beco one of the strongest stars.
"Life Force" is the foundation for the body to carry the soul. To beco a top combatant, synchronizing spirit and body is crucial. A powerful soul without a powerful body causes imbalance, affecting the soul’s stability in turn.
[Song of Life] is a key star for him to beco Special Level power, even if he doesn’t ignite it now, he surely will in the future.
Rod nodded, having decided the order to ignite.
[Sin’s Touch], [Song of Life], and lastly [Ti Wander].
Undoubtedly, once all three Great Stars are ignited, he will officially enter the ranks of Special Level power, becoming one of Trolians’ mighty pillars.
"The position has been marked for you."
The Book of Knowledge flapped its pages and spoke.
"Enter the Soul Wilderness and follow the guidance. Go ahead, master, ignite it quickly."
"The Dream Realm craves new stars; you need more power."
Rod nodded slightly, stepped before the Obelisk, and lightly touched his forehead against the soul surface of the monunt.
In an instant, the world flipped, alternately light and dark, and he once again found himself in the Soul Wilderness.
A land shrouded in the darkness with no light, scattered with ashes of bonfires, so of which burned, so already vanished leaving behind murky black holes—that’s the quantized stars.
A glowing white mist ford an arrow landing before him, and just as Rod wanted to fly in the direction it guided, everything suddenly darkened.
Firelight, ashes, the land—all vanished along.
Only the lightless darkness enveloped everything.
"What’s happening?"
Rod looked around in shock at the changing scene, sothing he’d never experienced before.
"Did I trigger sothing... or is it a phantom?"
At that mont, a figure slowly erged from the air.
"You finally arrived."
A low and hoarse voice spoke, strangely familiar to Rod.
"Who are you?"
Rod asked, not feeling particularly tense.
Because he sensed no danger in the surroundings, nor malice from the shadow before him.
"You know ."
The figure said.
"Think carefully."
His silhouette gradually solidified, but his face remained cloaked in shadow, not clearly visible.
Rod furrowed his brows; I know him?
What’s going on? Why would soone enter the Dream Realm and the more obscure Soul Wilderness?
Countless questions spun around Rod’s forehead, making him dizzy.
Suddenly, a thought crashed into his mind, like lightning splitting open the night of his soul.
"Heigao’er?"
Rod exclaid, "Are you Heigao’er?"
"I am."
The shadow said softly.
"After you defeated the ominous shadow, I’ve been waiting here for you."
"This is my remaining mory projection; I have important information to give you."
