Royal City.
Holy Fire Sacrificial Ground.
Amidst the boundless holy fire, the King floated serenely.
His spiritual energy, his presence, blended seamlessly with the endless golden flas, like water rging.
Outside the holy fire stood layer upon layer of Fire Priests and Fire Guardians. The entire Holy Fire Sacrificial Ground was guarded extrely tightly; even Archbishop Horus could not easily approach.
Suddenly, the King opened his eyes and looked towards the distant east.
"Level 16 spiritual power wave, a powerful disturbance in the Sea of Source, a newly ascended strong Monarch has erged, who is it?"
"Ah, this familiar feeling, isn’t it... Rod?"
The King’s tone was filled with astonishnt.
"But hadn’t he just stepped into Level 15 spiritual energy? Just beco a half-step Monarch? Could it be that I’ve actually been fighting in the Spirit Realm for a year? Or ten years?"
There was only a montary confusion in the King’s eyes, but he quickly regained clarity.
"No, that’s not right, clearly it’s only been three days, I just saw him three days ago."
Recalling the scene from that ti, the King’s mouth slightly curved into a smile, a faint amusent swirling in his eyes which were like golden hourglasses.
"This young man, really keeps surprising more and more... Hmm, I better notify them, lest these people panic again."
A flash in the King’s eyes, a subtle fla converged, forming lines of text in mid-air, then using the "Holy Fire Blessing" as a dium to notify all holders of the "Crown", that is, all Special Level Combatants.
Dozens of Spirit Crow ssengers made of golden flas flew out from the holy fire. This thod of information delivery was sowhat slow, but regardless of distance, it would reach unless the soul carrying the "Fire Crown" blessing mark died.
After accomplishing this, the King closed his eyes again, once more imrsing himself into the holy fire.
In the Spirit Realm, the endless battle with the Black Fog began once again.
——
The slums of the Lower City District.
Countless people bustled through the crowded streets, cries from the sidelines continued nonstop, vendors weaving through the crowd hoping to sell their handcrafted goods.
Survival here was always difficult, but it’s much better than before; starvation incidents are rare, with a significant drop in murders and other heinous events; the fire’s light shines far brighter, monsters and doomsday believers can no longer rampage here. Every block has Guardians, with warriors patrolling day and night, and the branches of the Internal Affairs Court have deeply embedded here, preventing chaos from arising at the source.
It can be said that this place has already beco a pure land - Judgnt Chief Lucian believes the purity here surpasses even the Upper City.
However, what he didn’t expect was the mont a black beef vendor, who had been chatting rrily with the Judger’s secret agent, returned to his small cabin, black soul fog seeped silently from under his body, enveloping the entire cabin.
Dozens of black shadows appeared from the shadows, half-kneeling before him.
"Master Ake, all the survivors are here."
The vendor’s face had already beco gloomy and eerie.
"Doomsday believers, only this few are left?"
A black shadow said: "Grey Dog’s vigilance is extrely high; they’ve conducted dozens of major sweeps, the sewers are no longer safe, and gathering spots outside the Royal City have beco more dangerous due to lack of depth. We’ve tried our best to conserve strength."
Ake snorted coldly: "The foolish Polluter Sect has already been eradicated, and that fool Asa’s betrayal severely damaged our cause."
A black shadow asked: "Master Ake, I still can’t believe, why would Asa betray? Aren’t we all creations of Supre Will? How dare he defy his creator?"
Ake said coldly: "He was misled by illusions, ignore him. When Supre Will returns, he will pay for all he has done. The Black Fog will devour everything; it’s an irreversible fate, an unstoppable trend. We are rely accelerating the era’s transformations, bringing this world back on the rightful track sooner."
The black shadows chorused: "Yes, Master Ake, our cause is righteous."
"Abe, how much strength do we have now?"
"Master Ake, Descender Sect’s remnants are nearly gone, only one person avoided judgnt. The Survivor Sect has entirely withdrawn; their likelihood of exposure is very small; they are a hidden blade among humans, but only one evil intent has infiltrated them, our connection is weak, and so hold completely opposing views. This sect might slip from our control."
Ake asked again: "And the Pri Sect?"
"Its main body suffered devastating blows, the remnants split into three groups, hiding within major legions; due to expansion warfare, Royal City’s screening of warriors is relatively lenient, which gives us shelter."
Ake was silent for a while, then slowly said: "Who is the person who avoided judgnt?"
A black shadow said: "His na is Manolo Bana, currently has no position, roams as a refugee in the sewer’s shallow layers, completely out of official sight."
"Find him, the one who avoided judgnt. If possible, use him to assist us in executing the destruction plan, but be cautious, he may be bait from the Internal Affairs Court."
"Understood."
"Try to contact the Survivor Sect, they are the most hidden sect, our only avenue to develop doomsday believers given the current situation. Ensure to hold them in our grasp, and for so stubborn ones within, you may incite and stir them, tell them the Black Fog is actually peaceful and harmless, that the Royal City is the real enemy."
