Now reading: Chapter 155 - 114: Emptied Out from The Last King Of Darkness, a Eastern novel by Mountains and rivers have no memory.

Ultimately, Rod took out all the core materials that Mina lacked and almost rebuilt the Spiritual Power Generator.

Mina’s Soul Trait seed to be related to repair and manufacturing, as materials bent, folded, and adhered under her control, taking the shape she desired. In no ti, an intricate component was crafted.

Huge cheers echoed in the basent as the warriors of Sword Pass Fortress had gone through the rollercoaster of despair and hope to finally receive the good news of their success.

Only Beowood found it odd, "How co you have everything up your sleeve?"

Having parted with a large portion of his painstakingly acquired, valuable goods, Rod felt as if he had been hollowed out and said discontentedly, "We ca to repair the instrunt, so why wouldn’t we bring the important materials it needs?"

Mina explained, "The damage to the Spiritual Power Generator was far beyond expectation, as it suffered severe spiritual energy overload, resulting in complete internal destruction. Normally, the structure of a Spiritual Power Generator is very strong and stable; it shouldn’t incur such severe damage unless we had received a report in advance, otherwise, we wouldn’t carry such expensive materials with us."

She suddenly glanced at Rod with suspicion.

"This isn’t one of your sches, is it?"

Rod grimaced, "Do I look like I have that much influence? The King isn’t my dear old dad, and besides, whom would I be scheming against? You or Steel Hand, the muscle-bound officer?"

Steel Hand laughed heartily, "Regardless, we are deeply grateful to Miss Mina and Mister Rod for repairing the instrunt for us."

That was true, in such a short ti, Rod had already received over ninety points of Humanity from them.

Mina showed a hint of a smile, her life’s greatest joys being to create new instrunts, repair broken ones, and learn new knowledge.

Suddenly, her expression darkened as she said, "The Evil Spirits that attacked the Spiritual Power Generator were not ordinary monsters. It’s almost impossible for regular Evil Spirits to cause damage to a Spiritual Power Generator. I assud before coming here that it might be due to so infiltrating material from the Evil Spirits causing a few disconnections at most."

Steel Hand furrowed his brow.

"All I rember is that those Evil Spirits were frenzied, crazily forcing their way through the spiritual body barriers, and the Spiritual Power Generator was just experiencing a bit of a high load; there was no particular sign of sothing amiss."

A captain shouted, "Whatever the oddity, next ti they co we’ll wipe them all out!"

"Exactly! Wipe them out and there’ll be no problem!"

"Don’t celebrate too soon," Mina frowned. "I can’t repair the cracks in the crystal. I need a special type of Monster Ash to maintain its usability."

Steel Hand laughed, "We lack many things here, but Monster Ash isn’t one of them."

"I need the ashes of Crawlers."

Steel Hand thought for a mont, "No problem, there should still be so in the warehouse, and there are plenty of Crawlers in the Big Swamp to the northwest. We can hunt them for ash."

Beowood swung his arm, "Commander, ti is tight. Let’s start assigning specific tasks now."

Steel Hand nodded slightly and took everyone back to the combat command room, leaving only Mina in the basent, working on repairing other damaged parts of the Spiritual Power Generator, and the logistic personnel of Sword Pass Fortress who looked at her with admiration.

In the combat command room, Beowood gave a detailed introduction of each combatant’s characteristics and abilities.

Steel Hand was surprised to find that there were three Level 6 combatants among them.

As the garrison commander of Sword Pass Fortress, he was a Level 6 combatant himself.

An excited captain shouted, "We’re set! With four Level 6 combatants, Sword Pass Fortress cannot fall!"

"That’s right!" shouted another warrior. "We’ll slaughter those ghostly things until none are left! Hahaha!"

What made them even happier was that everyone else in the team was also strong, and although their combat levels weren’t high, each one possessed unique skills and impressive combat records.

In particular, there was one mber who had the qualifications of a formal combatant but still held the reserve rank.

His combat power score was a re 5 points, but his resu made it feel as if he had 5000 points, having participated in many missions, clearing sewers alone, hunting Doomsday believers, and killing Black Priests by himself.

Not many could boast such an impressive track record.

Moreover, he was the legendary full Spiritual Visionary.

Steel Hand hadn’t felt this happy in many days.

But he also knew that even though their combat power was much more abundant than before, they still couldn’t afford to be careless.

How to utilize everyone’s capabilities to the fullest extent was the issue that needed the most consideration now.

After discussing with his deputy for a while, Steel Hand made their suggestions.

"Mr. Mo’er, you are the one carrying the torch, and once the fire is set, you beco the Fire Guardian—The responsibility to defend the Guardian Fire falls upon your shoulders."

Mo’er nodded slightly, without a word. The secret branch unit was top secret, and the guards at Sword Pass only knew that they were a reinforcent squad sent by the General Military Departnt, with no knowledge of which legion the team mbers belonged to nor their exact identities.

This kind of situation wasn’t very rare, so Steel Hand didn’t bother to ask more about it.

"Mr. Dark Leaf, you possess the characteristic of greening and have strong close-range combat abilities. Please lead a combat squad to clear out the threats near Sword Pass."

Dark Leaf nodded.

"Mr. Bach, you are the mighty Moon’s Radiance with unparalleled long-range combat abilities. Please stand guard at Sword Pass Fortress. I believe under your powerful Moon Arrow, no monster will be able to threaten us."

Bach too didn’t speak and just nodded silently.

"Captain Beowood, Captain Reslin, please lead two separate patrol squads to clear the monsters behind Sword Pass, reducing the pressure on the villages and ensuring the smooth transport of our supplies and the safety of our communications."

Beowood and Reslin replied together, "No problem."

"The attack on Sword Pass by Evil Spirits left behind many Residual Souls. They have a fixed patrol route and were originally dormant on the Corpse Wasteland. It’s the disturbance from the monster tide that awakened them. According to the tiline, the next attack should be around evening, three days from now. This is very dangerous, as that is when the Monster Tide will have reached Sword Pass, and we absolutely cannot allow the Evil Spirits to join with the Monster Tide to attack Sword Pass. If the Spiritual Power Generator runs into trouble again, that would be serious."

"Therefore, we need to eradicate the Evil Spirits on the Corpse Wasteland ahead of ti."

Bach spread another map on the round table.

"The Evil Spirits are not a single entity; they consist of many branches. This is the rough patrol route I’ve plotted during this ti. You can see they are quite scattered, but the convergence point is Sword Pass. It is hypothesized that this is because the Evil Spirits are the Residual Souls of an ancient army unit, and Sword Pass is the only path through the Dead Mountain Range."

"Due to the unique nature of Evil Spirits, we need high-level Spiritual Visionaries to assist in the hunt. Mr. Rod, Miss Anna, my warriors, Mia, Ian, Rage, and five combatants will form a Hunting Squad to hunt the Evil Spirits on the wasteland."

"We’ll also need to form a squad to hunt the crawlers in the Big Swamp."

"Finally, we need enough personnel to stay behind at Sword Pass."

After careful deliberation, Steel Hand and Beowood finalized the specific mbers for each squad and left ten resident warriors and rotating personnel at Sword Pass.

Thus, with confidence and hope, the warriors departed with high morale.
