Now reading: Chapter 1560 - 739: Ancient God (2) from The Last King Of Darkness, a Eastern novel by Mountains and rivers have no memory.

"Little Rod once ntioned that he discovered historical relics in Great Dragon City, indicating that the existence of the Life of Man had already appeared among the Giant Clan, which ans that by the end of the Ancient Epoch, the soul ripples of the Divine had already reincarnated."

Rod nodded and recounted once more his past experiences on the Star of Giant God Power, about a human giant nad Omir who possessed the soul ripples of the Red War God, Beakleus, thus becoming the first human-identified Giant King of the Giant Clan.

It is worth noting that among the twelve Kings of Giants, he had found the souls of eleven, all of whom had beco puppets of the Giant Ancestor.

The only one not found was the Giant King Omir.

Everyone opened their eyes wide, feeling incredulous.

The King tapped his fingers and pondered, saying: "Perhaps, the early, middle, and late stages of the Ancient Epoch are not a single era, just that we have categorized them into one epoch."

Professor Bins nodded:

"Although we don’t understand much about the origin and birth of the Life of Man, from the limited historical perspective, the soul ripples of the sa Ancient God do not appear frequently and are at least separated by a thousand years. Clearly, the Red War God Beakleus could not have just perished."

"According to my conjecture, He is likely a mber of the Ancient Gods, much like the Ancient Sun God."

Professor Bins paused, glancing at Professor Barrett, and the gazes of the two scholars t, birthing wisdom.

Professor Barrett gently nodded, signaling Professor Bins to continue.

Professor Bins spoke slowly in an extrely solemn voice.

"If our conjecture is correct, the Ancient Gods were the original divine spirits of this world. The Supre Will and those unspeakable terrifying existences were fallen or corrupted Ancient Gods."

"The birth of the Black Fog is greatly related to them."

Professor Barrett said softly: "Perhaps it was the divine war among the Ancient Gods that dragged the world into the dark abyss."

Suddenly, Rod rembered a scene Asa had shown him, a terrifying black shadow tens of thousands of yards high standing beneath the night sky, a part of it crashing from the sky to form the Ancient Evil Thought.

Could it be that the Supre Will was on the defeated side of the Ancient Gods?

Unwilling to accept defeat, it released a terrifying curse like the Black Fog to annihilate its enemies, and it would resurrect millions of years later from a world ruled by the Black Fog.

This was a pure speculation, but the more Rod thought about it, the more reasonable it seed. Perhaps this was indeed the truth.

The Supre Will, Eerie Ancestor, and Supre Demon Lord were the sources of the Black Fog!

The vision he saw in the Star Shuttle was the process of humanity creating the strongest weapon, the Asrada Tower, attempting to eliminate the Black Fog Source.

Unfortunately, even the Asrada Tower could not withstand the Supre Demon Lord Tristan, being blasted down from the starry sky by Him.

Rod clenched his fists, faintly feeling that he was infinitely close to the truth.

At this mont, Darlene raised new questions:

"What is the difference between the Ancient Gods and the Ancient Deities? Why are They so powerful? Can just the power of a Divine Envoy break through the will of a Monarch and control their soul? This kind of Source Law power cannot even be resisted."

Armando also clenched his fists, his elderly face full of vigilance:

"Nothing is more worrying than this. Monarchs are the core of our strength and must not be easily controlled. That controlling Source Law is formless and intangible, even undetectable."

These are questions that the scholars could not answer.

The King pondered deeply: "I have felt this power, and although it cannot affect , it vaguely has an aura of suppressing the Root Origin, identical to the Destruction’s Needle, only too weak to affect my will."

Darlene reminded: "Monarchs with firm will also resist it; only those who have suffered significant changes cannot withstand it."

Rod tentatively asked: "Is there a stronger Source Law above the Root Origin?"

The King shook his head: "Absolutely not."

"Could mastering more of the Root Origin lead to a qualitative change?"

Rod knew that in the Dream Realm, the "quotas" usually described source strength, not that there were actually multiple sources. They all had only one source within the soul, but a powerful soul had a stronger source.

To date, Rod had received up to 9 source quotas in the souls of non-King Level monsters, never more than 9.

In King Level monsters, there were also no more than 9 Strong Sources.

In the Dream Realm, 10 sources plus Colorful Dreams could complete Source Ascension.

Does this prove that once 10 sources are mastered, the power of Source Law will undergo a qualitative change?

Without using Colorful Dreams, the number of sources needed for Source Ascension is 25.

Even in the souls of King Level monsters, he had not seen 25 sources.

Does this again suggest that 25 sources are a limit for ascension?

Facing Rod’s question, the King fell into deep thought, and after a long ti, he replied: "Little Rod, I cannot be certain, but what you said is possible. The Ancient Gods may indeed be powerful beings possessing more than 10 Root Origins."

"Indeed, that could very well be the case."

Darlene said solemnly.

"When the root origin strength within the soul exceeds a certain limit, it will undergo a qualitative change. The Supre Will might indeed be a soul with 10 root origins."
