However, his actual combat ability could be greatly enhanced.
In high rank battles, a second’s mistake is enough to determine life or death. What concept is not dying for thirty seconds?
As long as I can hit them, they will all be killed by .
Then, developing Star Town, what challenges will there be?
Furthermore, using Star Town as a springboard, step by step, assisting the King in his Holy Fire plan before turning back to sweep through the Royal City, capturing all those demons and devils in one fell swoop.
Wouldn’t this world beco a better place then?
Rod smiled happily.
A bright future seed right in front of him, he just needed to accelerate forward to reach the endpoint of happiness.
——
But the next day, his happiness was shattered.
Rod went to No. 17 Grey Street in high spirits to fetch materials, but found a big lock on the door, and no matter how much he knocked on the red brick used as a doorbell, there was no response.
Really?
dicine Woman, did you run away?
Luckily, Rod maintained his composure, knowing that the dicine Woman sotis closed the shop.
But with such a large amount of money and supplies in her hands, he was sowhat uneasy.
Rod hurriedly ran to the Hunter Group headquarters.
After the Black Tide had ended, a large number of hunters summoned to the front line had returned to the Royal City.
The tavern in the Hunter Group headquarters was no longer quiet; the hunters had a rare mont of rest. No one wanted to take on missions anymore; they were all wildly drinking and eating in the tavern, indulging in debauchery and gambling.
The tavern was packed every day, and the noisy din even reached several streets away.
Rod pushed open the door, walked past a large group of hunters crazily throwing dice, and found Ado at the counter.
"Hi, Brother Soron, good morning. Are you here to clear out the sewers again today?"
Ado smiled, mixing him a "Golden Chrysanthemum."
"Not today, Ado, I don’t feel like going down to the sewers today."
Rod drank his "Golden Chrysanthemum" in one gulp, the slightly sour and cool liquid alleviating his agitated mood.
Ado’s face turned a bit red, and she said softly, "Brother Soron, then do you have ti to visit my house? I’ll show you a real sprinkling lily."
"No, no, that’s not necessary. I won’t be getting on that kindergarten bus."
Ado blinked, "What kindergarten?"
Rod leaned in closer to ask about the dicine Woman when Ado suddenly kissed his cheek.
"Thank you, Brother Soron."
She said softly, her cheeks red and her eyes brimming with moisture.
Rod was stunned, "Thank for what?"
Ado pouted, whispering, "Don’t ask, it’s annoying."
Yet inside, she was secretly delighted that this dreamlike older brother had co back after disappearing for a while, proving that he still had her in his heart.
His return also ant he had cleared all the missions concerning the sewers, knowing that during this period almost the entire Hunter Group had co to a standstill, with no hunter willing to take on missions. Old man Jahan had cursed his lungs out to no avail.
And her section of the Hunter Group had once again stood out as unique.
Ado, thinking about the jealous looks from other managers, couldn’t be happier, and she grew even fonder of this big brother who had specifically co to her branch to help.
Of course, she didn’t know that this brother she idolized was actually two years younger than she was.
Although Rod hadn’t changed much, he still habitually dressed like an adult, continuing to use the na "Soron" and the title "Big Sculpture" of a hunter.
Rod coughed and asked, "Ado, the dicine Woman is missing today, do you know anything about it?"
Ado covered her mouth and laughed, "That’s quite normal. These kinds of unauthorized producers often have to go out to collect controlled or taboo materials and sotis need to avoid drawing attention. It’s quite normal for them to disappear for a couple of days."
"But wouldn’t they run away?"
After thinking a bit, Ado replied, "There are so who run away but those are usually small-ti producers who grab a large sum and flee. Hunters have suffered losses and can’t easily complain to the Judgent Court... But the dicine Woman has a workshop; she has been doing business on Grey Street for six or seven years, don’t worry about it."
So that’s how it is...
Rod fell into deep thought when suddenly he felt a warmth on his cheek as Ado took the opportunity to kiss him again.
"Heehee, thinking Soron brother is so cute."
Rod’s face darkened, and just as he was about to scold Ado for engaging in inappropriate behavior on the kindergarten bus, suddenly, a drunkard lunged at him.
"Ado, how about one for your brother too?"
Smack!
Rod pushed his hand away.
"Buddy, you’ve had too much to drink, go sober up yourself."
The drunkard squinted at him: "Beat it, kid, do you know who I am? The famous Potato King of Stone City, a level six hunter, who are you to ?"
With a sweep of his hand, he swung it toward Rod’s face.
Rod, uninterested in further talk, sidestepped the slap and counterattacked with a heavy strike to the face. While the man was clutching his face, Rod grabbed him by the collar and threw him out.
This imdiately stirred up a hornet’s nest, as at least two tables of brawny n stood up.
"Kid, what are you doing hitting soone? Which branch are you from?"
Rod loudly declared, "I am a hunter from this branch, and my title is ’The Hawk.’ Everyone saw, he harassed Ado first, he struck first, I was rely retaliating."
"Bullshit! I’ve been here for five years and never seen you!"
Whoosh, a beer bottle flew towards him.
Rod raised his hand to block it, the bottle shattered, fragnts flew everywhere and mushroom wine spilled all over him.
Rod sneered, "Looking for a beating, are you?"
A drunkard yelled out, "He’s from an outside branch!"
"Get him!"
All at once, a dozen or so drunkards flipped tables and charged at him.
In the past, Rod would hesitate to fight.
But now, he had undergone a complete transformation.
Rod dodged to the left avoiding a fierce kick, clenched his fist with one hand, and landed a heavy strike on the man’s abdon.
The man, weak in his spiritual defense due to intoxication, imdiately knelt down, vomiting everything from his stomach.
Rod bent sideways, countered with a palm strike knocking another man to the ground, then leaped forward into the fray, performing the Thomas Rotation, side flip, handstand, roll, Swallow Balance, and Jockta Steps. The combat skills he mastered during this period were fully utilized, flipping his opponents over and keeping them from coming anywhere close to him.
More hunters stood up, joining the fray.
The fight escalated, trashing the entire tavern.
Ado hid behind the counter, the sounds of clinking and clashing bursting around her like firecrackers.
She was extrely worried and quickly dialed through spiritual communication to Jahan, the leader of the Hunter Group, promptly informing the headquarters about the situation and requesting backup.
Upon hearing that a brawl had broken out in the tavern, Jahan, so anxious he didn’t even finish his business, rushed out.
Quickly gathering those discussing elite missions at headquarters, he headed to the scene.
By the ti they finally arrived at the Hunter Branch on Rand Square, the fight was over.
The tavern was wrecked, not a single table intact, the floor covered with a pile of drunkards groaning in pain.
In all this rubble, there stood a young man, not even twenty years old.
Jahan quickly activated his Spiritual Vision and scanned around.
Thankfully, no one was dead.
But his anger flared up imdiately after, as Lord Dalin had explicitly instructed the Hunter Group not to cause trouble ti and again. Since the Sun Festival, he had been diligently firefighting everywhere, not even having ti to relieve himself, and just when he finally had a chance to sit on the toilet, trouble had already erupted.
The Hunter Group had maintained a half-year record of no incidents, and this guy had just broken it.
Jahan furiously declared, "Fine! Deduct points! Confinent! What’s your na? I’m going to revoke your hunter’s license!"
But the man simply didn’t bother with him, his gaze passing directly over him, looking towards another hunter behind him.
"Eh? phit, what are you doing here?"
